    The Northwest Airlines liveries look the best. I have a picture from the 1970s that I found of a Northwest Orient 747-200 with a Pacific Southwest Airlines Md-80 Landing in the background. Wish Northwest was still around. Great Video 😀👍.

    Fun fact: In November 1970 a Northwest Airlines 747-200 arrived in Athens for its presentation to Olympic Airways. The aircraft parked next an OA 707 and had the official Boeing titles, when OA placed orders for 4 747s, with the first one being delivered in June 1973

    Fun fact: They may have retired the 747-200 from scheduled passenger service in 2007, however they continued to use two 747-200's for charter operations untill 2009!

    The last time I ever flew on any 747 was in January 1989 from Detroit to Denver before transferring to another plane to get me either Vancouver or Seattle. Even by that time, I thought it was kind of a fluke to fly on a 747 on such a short domestic flight, especially if it's only a part of a trip that in total gets you merely 2,000 miles back to where you live from where you started, and also since I'd've only been on a 747 before that only four times, all four of them for longer trips, the shortest of which before the most recent flight on a 747 I'd flown on in late August or early September in 1986 when flying from Tel Aviv to London Heathrow on what was most likely another 747-200.
    I've ridden one 747-100 and 4 747-200s, the last of which was this flight in January 1989. I've never yet (and likely never will) flown on a 747-SP; a 747-300; a 747-400 or even a 747-8, (unless I'm planning on taking a trip from Vancouver to South Korea and back to ride T-Express on the only airline that a 747-8 flies passengers to an/or from Vancouver). In any case; once again: Thanks for posting!

      @ScaringCrab  5 лет назад +1

      Galaxy 1108 It's kinda a good thing. Boeing was just competing with MD/DC a long time ago so they were not that challenged. When Airbus came, the challenge is real for Boeing. Now they're still battling! (idk if what i said is true lol)

    • @phillipngo2133
      @phillipngo2133 3 года назад

      Yeah, they did introduce twin jet that cause airline to use twin jet instead now. But that doesn't matter, even if Airbus didn't make a twinjet, twin jet would still be design and replace the remain quad or Tri jets due to fuel economy and other etops shit

    I like the Northwest Orient colors better & the logo up until the compass logo was the best logo ever, the red tail logo that is. Northwest was from my home state of Minnesota right along with North Central/Republic. Always remember this livery as a kid & as I grew up. Still have a few flight schedules & 2 diecast planes in this livery.
