Thank you for the tips. A lot of the "professional tattoo artists" don't like to give out their secrets but I think we should help one another and grow as a whole; create better tattoos for our clients. Thank you sir, God bless
Thank you so much for this video. I’m an aspiring tattoo artist, and I want to sharpen part of my skills on Procreate. I didn’t know where to start until this video. Great job, dude!
you prolly dont care at all but does anyone know a way to log back into an Instagram account..? I somehow lost my login password. I would love any tricks you can give me.
Wow! I am new to Procreate and this was so helpful and straight to the point. No BS. I am not a tattoo artist, but I design pattern art for cellphone cases and your tips will come in so handy. Thank you very much! Melody
When I trace I usually lighten the opacity of the image you want to trace and then lock it because I have a tendency of drawing on the wrong layer at times. The layer locking feature is very useful and is easy to turn off and on.
Omg this is a game changer I’ve been designing with blunt lines and everything looks like a coloring page… definitely subscribed. This will bring me closer to picking up my machine and practicing
Terrific job! I’ve learnt so much. Especially some of those short cuts. Not sure if you’re saving masking for a later video, but I do know masking saves a lot of copying and deleting when trying out different approaches. Thank you, well done 💃🏼
Thanks for your video on ProCreate!! You are a good instructor because you actually name and identify the icon or brush you are tapping on so we can follow….the idea of “tap here” and moving on quickly doesn’t t help beginners. So THANK YOU! My question…you had 2 roses here on the same procreate canvas…if you had wanted to have them both show on your end stencil or drawing, how would you have done that. I have wanted to get 2 figures into one canvas and then cartoon them but don’t know how to do that. Thank you for any comments you may have time to make. I’ll be watching more of your videos too….
i found this very helpful because im just getting started on pro create! i would definitely like to see a video where you size a stencil to a body part from an imagine .
It would be extremely helpful if you would make a video explaining how to resize/adjust a procreate stencil accordingly to wrist size tattoos up to full size stencil paper size!
It seems he just sizes by eye in reference to the standard A4 paper that we print onto. You can resize precisely when your finished. I usually measure with a flexible ruler on my client the location it’s going and then just resize using the dialog box for accuracy. (Select the stencil layer, touch one of the corner anchors and the size dialog will pop up.) There are other ways this is how I do it.
So when your in your A4 canvas and have your flash in there , is there any way to know the precise measurement of the flash/ stencil .. for smaller ones im wanting to be a certain size ? I bought procreate yesterday and it is awesome! This tutorial was very helpful to get me going 🤘🤙 I love the ability to zoom in down to the pixel and correct lines 🤩
Killer vid man. Hey not sure if u missed it but is the size u make the design on the tablet the size ir stencil will turn out??? Like is quite literally size sensitive????
Wow perfect demonstration men..can i ask a question, is the ProCreate apps for iPadPro only?? Or you can use it also to Samsung s8 ultra?? Hope u answer my question.
Love the procreate videos. Ordering my iPad pro today... I'm primarily paper and pencil now so I have a ton of learning to do with both the iPad and the procreate program. I use Photoshop a little bit but not very good with it. I can do more with the paint program that comes with Windows. 😂. Anyhow thanks for the tutorial!
Procreate is definitely easier than photoshopping! And more useful than paint. I have some other plans to put a few more procreate videos out. But I hope you like your ipad ! Have a good day!
It’s easier to lower the opacity on the image so you can trace the stencil in black to begin with. It lowers the steps you have to take and makes it twice as fast. Lower opacity, trace stencil, unclick image later, done. Lowering opacity also makes sure you don’t miss any lines. It’s hard to miss a line when you’re tracing in black. Lowering the opacity even 10% works. You just want to make the image lighter than the line you’re making. You also don’t lose any detail at all. You make clean ass stencils though, I applaud it
Dude, i’ve loved everything i’ve watched from you i can’t thank you enough. 1 question though, when printing how can you know exactly the measures your stencil will have when printed??? I hope you see this and sorry if you’ve answered this before.
Hey! Glad you like the videos … so I don’t know sizing before I just print it and then resize from there. I do tho treat the procreate canvas as a real piece of paper so I’ll draw it on the procreate Canvas as large as I think it should be when it prints if that makes sense.
At about 2:44 in your video, you reduce the complete opacity of the rose. It looks as though you just drag your finger across the screen to do that. Isn’t there an Opacity button you need to select first to do that? Mine does not reduce the opacity just by sliding my finger(s) over the screen. Thanks!
Very informative video. Thank you! I have a question. Procreate will perform the same way with a regular iPad than an iPad Pro? Or it works with all different iPad versions ( Régular, Mini, Air n Pro ). Which one do you recommend me tho Thanks again n hope U have time n answer my question. Peace ✌🏽
No they moved it on us lol once you click the brush, on the left hand side will be a menu. The 2nd or 3rd option down will be stabilization … it’s now under that tab
For some reason when I use the technical brush, the lines become super pixelated. Is there a way I can fix this so my lines are smooth while using this brush?
@@ThatTattooGuyOfficial Yeah I'm zoomed in to make sure I get the lines perfect but even when I zoom out the lines still seem to be pixelated and chalky
@@ThatTattooGuyOfficial I've tried with the brush size at 1%, 5% and 10% but the only brush that doesn't look pixelated when zoomed out is the monoline brush. But even on the smallest brush size for that one is too big
I am NOT a tattoo artist, but the brand I am building Bad Girl Balm (.com)...I want all the artwork on my products to basically be the tattoo stencil of whatever image(s) will represent the name of that product, so I'm sitting here watching your videos until I can pay a tattoo artist money + probably royalties for each product I sell I need some way to get the artwork I want onto at least the first couple products. So thank you for this information and yes, please more tutorials. FYI - you don't have any information in your About section of your RUclips Channel for IF i'd like to try to work with you since I'm also slowly scoping out artists through RUclips.
Select the color you want in the color selector then use one of the texture brushes on a low opacity and cover a layer in the texture. Make the brush as big as is can go also
Thank you for the tips. A lot of the "professional tattoo artists" don't like to give out their secrets but I think we should help one another and grow as a whole; create better tattoos for our clients.

CRVCIFIED absolutely! Good luck!
you prolly dont care at all but does anyone know a way to log back into an Instagram account..?
I somehow lost my login password. I would love any tricks you can give me.
Love tht you keep explaining things and what they do. Ppl usually say in my previous video I explain how that works
Wow! I am new to Procreate and this was so helpful and straight to the point. No BS. I am not a tattoo artist, but I design pattern art for cellphone cases and your tips will come in so handy. Thank you very much! Melody
Glad it was helpful! It’s such an awesome app!

I second that! Lock layers to preserve👍🏻 it reminds you your on the wrong layer

I upload my stencil in Canva and get my measurements from the ruler view. Then I mirror the image and print:)
Thank you you’ve helped me out so much using my new iPad, recently started my tattoo apprenticeship 👍🏻
That’s so awesome! Congrats:)
I do body painting, and I just learn procreate and you help me a lot man so nice.

But thanks dude !
Hello, how do you display the compact brush settings (without the drawing pad). Thank you in advance for your answer.
Thanks for all your help pal, just got the app, and am loving it.

If you tap the layer you want with two fingers you then can slide your fingers across the screen to change the opacity

I don’t have the streamline option. Is that unique to certain iPad models?
No they moved it on us lol once you click the brush, on the left hand side will be a menu. The 2nd or 3rd option down will be stabilization … it’s now under that tab
Thank you! Very nice instructions

agonzalez2410 just put one out the other day, and I’m editing one right now actually !
For some reason when I use the technical brush, the lines become super pixelated. Is there a way I can fix this so my lines are smooth while using this brush?
Are you very zoomed in? If you are that’s why
If not I’m not entirely sure

Hmmm.. they shouldn’t be when you zoom out. When you zoom all the way in they will be tho. Maybe mess with the size of the brush?
@@ThatTattooGuyOfficial I've tried with the brush size at 1%, 5% and 10% but the only brush that doesn't look pixelated when zoomed out is the monoline brush. But even on the smallest brush size for that one is too big
