Dedicated to my best friend Dom who passed away yesterday ! He inspired in his own mad way ! Dance in Peace my friend and make place for us for the great gig in the sky 🙂
I remember this so well and hearing this for the first time when driving through the Highlands of Scotland in March 1999 for holidays and this was on the radio and it blew me away instantly. At the end the dj said "two guys from Holland"... first time I got to meet the legendary System Ferry and so cool he was a fellow Dutchman.
As much as I loved psy trance and underground techno, uplifting / commercial trance was special as it was "normal music" you could enjoy in any local night club in the UK with your mates. Tracks like this bring back memories of those blinding nights out. Uplifting Trance was cheesy, but it didn't matter because it gave us the the opportunity to live the absolute peak of the club scene. Out of the Blue is the sound track to that peak, it's the sound track to millions of memories, good, bad and unforgettable. Everybody just went absolutely mental to these tracks on dance floors all over the country, it was spiritual and everybody in the late 90s club scene was part of it.
I did an interview with Ferry in his studio and he tells everything you need to know about "Out Of The Blue". You can find the complete interview on my channel, hope you like it! :)
Still listening to it in 2018...never stopped listening to it!!! And then heard it again whilst watching the Irish film "Dublin OldSchool" - then on the end credits came Orbital and "Chime"....fantastic, just fantastic!!! 😉 💚 🍀 🇮🇪

How is it way ahead of its time ? This was exactly the sound of trance in late 90s, early 00s. Things just decayed. Artists gotta spit out tracks alot faster to survive today, than before, when everyone was buying CD's, Vinyls etc. and the artists had time to create the next masterpiece. Now a track will be the past almost the first time it's played, while the classics played for years at every party.
Perfect ! Epic trance. Voici probablement le résultat du meilleur de Ferry Corsten, son hymne trance diffusé partout dans le monde, le grand classique de 1999. ce single vous aura fait danser, vibrer, voyager, tellement il a du potentiel !

Power went out during the beginning of Tiësto’s set so they closed up early but everyone ended up at Ruby Skye - to see Ferry songs after party thing… and at 3am, Tiësto shows up! Magical night!
Ferry, please start making Trance tunes like this again!! Pleeeeeease! :D Trance music has become so generic these days. We need that Dutch magick back!!!! ;)

Saw Ferry Corsten spin this track at a massive rave in San Francisco in 2008 sounded great live and the crowd went wild I went insane best track played live
HA! I was there! So many great Ferry memories - remember the Cow Palace rave with Markus, Ferry AND Tiësto?! Power went out during the beginning of Tiësto’s set so they closed up early but everyone ended up at Ruby Skye - to see Ferry songs after party thing… and at 3am, Tiësto shows up! Magical night!
An epic and timeless jewel, this trance track.🕺😊👏
