  • To celebrate the opening of “True Nature: Rodin and the Age of Impressionism” at the Oklahoma City Museum of Art, this exclusive lecture by Matthew Palczynski, PhD, unpacks what Rodin gleaned from Impressionism and how his work contributed to the modernist sculptural developments in the School of Paris during the first decade of the 20th century.
    “True Nature: Rodin and the Age of Impressionism” was organized by the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. The exhibition, featuring over 100 works by French sculptor Auguste Rodin and Impressionist contemporaries Claude Monet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Edgar Degas, and Paul Cézanne, is on view at the Oklahoma City Museum of Art June 17-October 22, 2023.
