Everyone tries to compare Pianists against each other, even though he is unquestionably one of the best just look at what he has done for the Music industry. He has done so much and brought the music to all generations globally. Just inspiring!!!
I really like Lang Lang, not only for his playing, but also because of his values and strong beliefs. Liszt is one of my favorite composers, which makes me hear a lot of Lang Lang, as he plays a lot of Liszt.
Many Lang Lang detractors (myself included) only knew about his sometimes overwrought showmanship. This interview opens up a side of the artist that is so human and easy to relate to. It turned me into a fan.
Getting young people on a performance stage is like the El Sistema music system started in Venezuela. People playing various instruments together as a group. Group learning actually reinforces what you learn and peer pressure drive your playing forward... Over the years, there is a split in careers choices between pop (improvised) and Classical (the note-reader).
This a great interview by a musician who knows feels and loves music and has done so much to bring music meaning classical music to so many people .go lang lang. ❤️from australia
He is really a very modest and serious person,I love his view of the pianistic work and his great humanity.
Lang Lang is truly a brilliant ambassador for classical music...
