Oh this was fun! Adults need to grow up, we all know how this stuff works and lets face it, these guys know there is an audience of intrigue for the back stage stuff. Its a shame "official documentaries" don't cover this sort of backstage stuff. Its gold
I saw that stuff as a young person in marching band 7-8th grade at Disneyland. We marched in one of the parades and to get there and back you’re backstage. Backstage is the polar opposite of on stage. It’s messy, crap everywhere with little organization. There are dumpsters and warehouses etc… I get why they don’t want people to film it but it doesn’t ruin everything the way they make it out.
1:00 kid is obnoxious as hell. A real prick. But I highly doubt Disney security has the right to go hands on like that. It’s essentially kidnapping and false imprisonment if those two interrogators aren’t cops.
I'm all for part 2, Kenny! You asked a lot of good questions that most people never ask. And almost nothing in these clips is replicated in the Stolen Kingdom doc. I'm also a big Please Stop Vlogging fanboy, so I would be honored to be in one of your documentaries.
Yes! Thank you. I’m glad I finally have a place to share more of this doc. We need to plan a team up soon! Let’s go to six flags when it opens back up.
The DSoD Book & documentary were both so well done (even if the doc was nothing as I expected) that it was the last remnant of old UrbEX that MesaVerdeTimes really kicked off. I wish there was still more of that style content on RUclips or even Vimeo. I still hate my interview didn’t make the cut for the DSoD Documentary that was funded on Indiegogo(?) but still had a great time with Dave & those dudes (though I never got to meet you Leonard!).
Kenny!!! This is so good! As someone who was utterly immersed with Disney vloggers good and bad around 2016 onwards I love how involved in the lore you are! It's like you're piecing a puzzle together. It definitely feels like those days of Disney vloggers are behind us. It's very sanitized and monitized now. This video made me feel like I did back then. I love your videos as is, but also whole encourage you continue with this kind of historian stuff if you want to!
As someone who exclusively became enamored with Disney Lore through many of the creators of this nature with the people you reference and interviewed, I would love to see you finish and put out your documentary. I miss mid 2010’s era of Disney history and dark side content and this would fill a big void. Please and thank you, sir 🫡
Actually I found your other channel maybe a little over a year ago and enjoyed the disney /vlogging docs alot. Reminded me of how Adam made content before retirement. Good stuff
Yes, please finish it! I missed part one gonna go find it now. Rob and Michael really were great channels when they were active. Miss them around here.
Dude, you gotta finish that awesome documentary project! Also, as a former character attendant at wdw I've seen kylo ren (and countless others) do veeerrryyy similar dances to that kylo ren in your video. It was always hilarious and made my day every time!
And so satisfying. That dude has such a punchable face. I’m wondering how he still gets to post stuff on social media showing his stolen goods after he was caught.
As a former CM, I remember the picture of Figment on the wall very well. It shocked me just how long it took for someone to finally get footage of it. I never tried myself because I didn't want to get fired, but it took about 15 years from my resignation to finally seeing someone post footage of it.
22:42 That’s the giant Stitch statue from downtown Disney (and it also looks like it’s getting repainted which explains why it looks new at Downtown Disney), It isn’t the animatronic since the animatronic of stitch is still inside Stitch’s great escape show building all skinned up. But still a little unnerving either way..
I feel like this video made me nostalgic for the "peak" era of RUclips Disney vlogging. I'd love to see you finish up what you have of footage that you shot for that original series though - I found the one that you'd originally posted very interesting, especially as someone who was invested in a lot of those content creators already. I will say, I miss RobPlays/MidwayToMainStreet's content, from the ones that were featured in your original documentary. His stuff was always so educational and well researched and well edited, and he just seemed like a really chill guy.
Dig the footage of @AdamtheWoo. And dude was smiling coming out of court but was crying like a little B at the police station and didn't he throw up? Wimp.
Whatever you're able to finish, we'd like to see. Even if others are covering similar material, only your projects will have That Kenny Spirit. And turtle noises.
Dude, I had no idea you were the guy that made the Adam the woo documentary. I really think you should go back to finishing your part two Disney documentary because there’s still so much chaotic stuff that went down over there especially at Disneyland like the chaotic teenagers that shot vids of themselves doing dumb shit in the 90s, there is also a lot of crazy shit that happened over at videopolis too plus there’s Dave ensign which I’m not sure if he went deep into the other places, he broke into like splash Mountain when they were just building it in Florida.I’d love to hear a lot of of these stories so if you can get those guys to talk about their stories I think you’d have a really solid documentary
At 18:44 you have footage from “Remain Seated Please”, the documentary about Hoot and Chief’s incredible adventure in Horizons at EPCOT before it was destroyed! In my opinion, the BEST unauthorized backstage Disney doc (also, the most daring and dangerous!) but it’s an amazing documentary of the attraction. 😢 please finish your documentary!
This was my first video of yours and I'm immediately in the PLEASE RELEASE PART 2 club even though I haven't seen Part 1 😄 As I've grown into my Disney adultness, I am fascinated by "the other side" which I never saw. I mean the way my jaw DROPPED finding out a dude stole over 14,000 dollars of memorabilia??? And that he's just "back" now. Also as far as motivation when you discover others are on a similar creation track? What you're doing matters because your perspective is unique and because you care about what you're doing. Hope to see Part 2 pop up!
Please do the documentary! It's something that one, is interesting and two will gain you recognition. I honestly had no idea that was your documentary on Adam. Please do something with the work you have done! 👍
This is why I don’t like people who sneak onto park property. Sure, it’s neat to see and interesting, but there’s a line.. some people do it respectfully and leave no trace.
If I had money I’d invest in seeing this doc through. I think it is an awesome topic and a great subject for a documentary. I heard of Dark Side of Disney several years ago and I meant to buy the book. I will now. I think it represents me fairly well. I’m a Disney parks fan who grew up going to Disneyland since it is 90 min away. I had my first bite of freedom there. My folks would let me bring a friend and we were in our own until meal times. I went to grad nite at Disneyland. I honeymooned at WDW. And now I go solo. No one there treats me oddly for being there as a single dude. I’m not a “Disney adult” while I enjoyed the movies as a kid, I’m not obsessed with IP. I love the escape of the parks. So anyway, I digress, but this doc need to see the light of day! If I can help in anyway I’d love to. I’m broke and have limited audio engineering and video editing skills.
I love this, my favorite Hershey vlogger is also a Disney fan and aficionado. Great content man! Also, can’t wait till Hershey opens back up on the first weekend of April.
I seriously wish someone would do this for the Universal parks. I've been to a few backstage areas because of being in a wheelchair there, but nothing this deep dive. Always interested in this kind of content. And you're right, animatronics is super creepy when not running or old and torn up. 😅 Please keep this stuff coming!
this book looks good i would have also enjoyed it with other 2000's reading like Worst Case Scenario Survivor Handbook, The Hipster Handbook and Stuff White People Like
It also reminds me of recently people on youtube were working on the "1000 Places to See Before You Die" book going to everywhere in the book, i had that book and "100 Things to Do Before You Die" when I graduated high school and more impressionable and now I'm 40 years old

However, that DOES NOT make it okay to do at the end of the day, and this guys disregard for the care of the items is pretty blatant as well. tossing on the wigs and dresses. ridiculous and tonedeaf. good video, really enjoyed
