We Went Full Christmas at The Gaylord Palms Alpine Village! | ICE!, Snow Tubing & 9 Degrees Inside!

- We had a blast at the Gaylord Palms Christmas event! Thank you to Gaylord Palms for inviting us out to experience everything. We show you our room and view from our room, which was great, we could see the tree and the Cirque-style Christmas show right from our balcony. Then we head to the Alpine Village to experience ICE!, which was themed to How The Grinch Stole Christmas this year! We also got to experience the 9 degree temperature inside, that was an interesting experience for sure! They do provide parkas for you when you go into the ICE! experience. We also made toys in the Elf Experience, made a gingerbread house, did some snow tubing, threw snowballs and listened to a Christmas story told by Mrs. Claus herself! We tried some food around the resort, everything was really great! We had such a festive time at the Gaylord Palms and we hope you had fun experiencing it with us! Make sure you get your tickets for the event as soon as possible. It sells out on weekends and parking is a nightmare at the hotel during this event.

My old high school’s theatre would go to the Gaylord Hotel in Dallas, TX every winter. It always amazed me how decorated and pretty it looked

What a super fun time!! If I was there I would definitely do that and if I was going to travel to Florida for holiday during this time of year it would be fun to stay there. You should be Jackson's age and the year on the bottom of his ornament he painted. Then when he's an adult he'll have a fun memory for his tree.

We go every year to the Gaylord Opryland. They do an amazing job with Christmas.
I stayed at that hotel a long long time ago when i was a kid. Bringing back alot of memories. I was amazed at that atrium.
So cool you went to that. I went to the one here in CO. Our theme was Charlie Brown. I didn't stay at the gaylord hotel. I just went as a guest for the daily event and I didn't see the cirque show either. It's so cool to see how other states do the ICE! Event.

Jackson is just like the kids up here in the Midwest. They hate wearing coats. My teen went out to catch the school bus this morning wearing only a hoodie as a coat in 20 degree weather. Can't argue with them. ha
Oh my gosh, I love the ICE! exhibit. I'm so happy they finally brought it back. Me and my wife are planning on going in a few weeks. Unfortunately the Gaylord is really expensive to stay at so we're staying at a hotel close to the Gaylord and Main Street, Grapevine in Texas.

Just Saw The Rudolph The Red-Nose Raindeer version in Nashville last week. Looks like Jackson had Lots of fun! Hope you guys take him to some of the other ones when they come to Florida. I've only 2 of them A Christmas Story & Rudolph.
I'm so glad you went there - and filmed it! I remember a few times seeing this resort off in the distance when on Magical Express and I always wondered about it. I definitely want to check it out the next time I'm in Orlando.

when I was in college I took a trip with my program to Tennessee and we visited the Opryland hotel that Gaylord owns and I was amazed by it.

Watching this as a Coloradan is funny. When i was jacksons age i was skiing on a homemade skihill in my backyard haha.
lol all our festivities are just outside. Its just normal to be cold and to have snow. Just like a normal day.
In fact most of us in the north pretty much consider snowballs sort of just a kids thing and events dont have them normally as they arent a novelty like that.
It is cool to see how you guys perceive it all since your coldest days are maybe in the high 30s and lower 40s in extreme weather. Our coldest days can get to -20 F and thats so cold it knocks the wind out of you when you go out into it.
It's 9° in there, that's warm to us, it's 3° here in the UK at the moment. 🤣🤣🤣
