I CONSUMED you for hours and hours last evening and today (I've always been a fan), and I'm just so overwhelmed (in the best possible way) by your intelligence, by how well informed you are, the way you rep the country globally like no other celebrity with your knowledge of everything from statistics to history, literally EDUCATING ppl while you make them laugh and HOW - punch after punch after fucking punch! And the balls of steel that you have baba. Comfortable with uncomfortable topics, sensitive with, well, sensitive topics, and funny as hell through it all! Okay I truly believe that noone reps India the way you do (and this seems like a good time to acknowledge the fact that YOU were in an American TV show first, yes?). Oh and I also truly believe that if everyone in the country heard you talk about everything you do talk about - from feminism, inclusivity, politics and all the way to history, statistics and the whole world, not only would people learn shit, but would also be better people! The fact that he mimicked a pressure cooker whistle at the end to make it sound like a siren is probably the most layered and genius message I have heard from him yet. That was incredible.

I never agree with the Vir’s opinions and I do feel that he, like a majority of people, takes a selective view of the situation. Having said that, I am always in awe of how intelligently he put his view across. Stand up is an art, and vir does it masterfully. You may not like the canvas or the colours but by golly, the brushstrokes are genius, I have to give him that!!!

I had to watch Vir Das's Interviews to understand his style of comedy. It had been like going around a monument without a guide to explain certain nuances , when I started to watch his stand-up comedy. Was he really funny because be really spoke about serious stuff ... I wouldn't laugh - didn't matter if I agreed with him or not . The stuff was so cerebral, I thought why was he even tagged as a comedian? But now , I get him .his style and the 'comedy' behind it . Now I let out a laughter. I may not agree with everything, but that is the point isn't it. To be able to politely disagree.
Man is talking about world peace and the Indian media channels and people like Abhijit Chavda who are messengers of the govt talk rubbish without the basic interpretation of what he is saying. I never agree with the Vir’s opinions and I do feel that he, like a majority of people, takes a selective view of the situation. Having said that, I am always in awe of how intelligently he put his view across. Stand up is an art, and vir does it masterfully. You may not like the canvas or the colours but by golly, the brushstrokes are genius, I have to give him that!!!

I had to watch Vir Das's Interviews to understand his style of comedy. It had been like going around a monument without a guide to explain certain nuances , when I started to watch his stand-up comedy. Was he really funny because be really spoke about serious stuff ... I wouldn't laugh - didn't matter if I agreed with him or not . The stuff was so cerebral, I thought why was he even tagged as a comedian?
But now , I get him .his style and the 'comedy' behind it .
Now I let out a laughter. I may not agree with everything, but that is the point isn't it. To be able to politely disagree.
