I've decided to build myself a nice 5" LCD monitor, dedicated device that would run DigiView for Raspberry Pi. And I did it. I also designed an enclosure for the whole contraption and I have to say I am super, super happy with results. Now, I can carry it with me to the field and share my flights in real time with bystanders or anyone interested. It requires downloading of DigiView for Pi image, that needs to be burned onto the SD card. I used balenaEtcher app, but Raspberry Pi Imager works fine too. Once you put that SD card into your Raspberry Pi, it turns it into the dedicated DigiView unit. LCD screen does not require separate power source, it pulls the power from Raspberry Pi. I can even power everything with one 10000 mAh powerbank, and it works amazing! Totally portable and ready to go out in the field with me.
Components used in this build (note, none of my links are affiliate links, I don't make money on advertising these, I simply list them only because I know there will be questions of "...where..." and "...how much..." nature:

Thank You for sharing! I tried this DigiView flashed on its own SD card for my Raspberry Pi 3 (1GB RAM, 1.2ghz CPU) that was just sitting around doing nothing. Although it does not work with the 3.5 inch LCD that I configured with it a while back, it does work perfect on the HDMI output for an external monitor for audience viewing. It even worked on the HDMI input for my big screen TV! I flew around my property using my big screen TV as the monitor and honestly the latency is not bad at all for just flying casually. I don’t use a keyboard or mouse with my Raspberry Pi 3, it just boots directly into DigiView ready mode. When done, I just unplug power and won’t corrupt anything.

I don't use keyboard with DigiView, I only use it when inside OS in case I need something. DigiView developers however, recommend shutting the app down before turning off Raspberry Pi. I found that tip up on their website where they mentioned if we have touch screen, the easiest thing to do is to long press anywhere on the screen for one second. It then brings the menu, which we can use to shut down the app, and then manually turn off our Raspberry. It's explained here: github.com/fpvout/DigiView-SBC/releases

At 5:41 sec mark, I'm talking about the very same thing... None of that was required for DigiView project, I was simply showing how everything works properly. After that I've proceeded to show dedicated DigiView unit, Raspberry Pi4B + LCD screen doing one thing only - being a DigiView kiosk. But sure, it's nice to have options, so if I ever need some portable device with OS on it, support for keyboard, mouse, and all that... it's there, ready to be used :)

Yes, it's not difficult to do this DIY project, if you have some spare time, it's super nice to have external monitor and share our flights in real time, on the spot. You should see when police stops by to check who is flying in the area, and when they see first person view, they always get amazed :) Yes, I keep all the work folders, in case I ever have to change or update something, so yours with all the source files is here too.

Amazing 🔥 No files for the 3D prints?

I am revising all the models as we speak. It's always like this, and it's only because I don't have my own 3D printed (yet). I make these 3D models, basically blindfolded, measuring everything 2 times with my caliper and hoping everything would fit nicely. This fits perfectly (this exact LCD model + Raspberry Pi 4B attached to the top of it, but probably won't accommodate other combos as nice. The thing is, I am changing couple of little things (improving) on both covers, so they are ready for public. Once I get them to the point I am happy with everything, I will publish STL files.
