A very interesting man, I think U.G. experienced a very deep realization, he is breaking down every concepts and ideas implanted by the theologians, gurus, pastors, priests stealing away our focus and consciousness with the promises of different life which creates more sufferings and confusions. And with this he opening a new highway to understand the reality what it is and what is life. He is showing a different path, hard but exciting.

No, he is not suggesting anything. he is making u realize that you will only live in hope and die in hope. hope is the only thing we do and cannot be freed from it, as freeing (hopelessness) implies the hope is still there to be free from hope.
He says what happened to him is acausal (physiological flushing of the permanent hope movement), so just accept that we can do nothing and keep hoping :D

I need UG to remind me of the facts every now and then. Not only to remind me, but his words somehow give me strength I when I feel like leaving all this pain and misery behind.
"It is not interested in anything other than to know more and more. Through such a demand it preserves its continuity."
This is why UG is still considered a sage. Though I would call him a sage of the negative way. He helps us accept it, thus returning to the centre again.

To free one's self is oxymoron. The self is a concept made up by the mind. It really doesn't want to be free. It wants continuity. This continuity is not from the body since the body has its own survival system and it has no interest at all.in so-called being free..There are just words anyways. It is the mind playing with words so that it may have it's own importance.
