Keywording is such a chore, but this information is really helpful. It's going to save me a lot of time - thanks.

Thanks so much Julieanne for your helpful tutorials here and for 😊everything you did in the previous years 🙏🏻 One thing though, I‘ve ask for years to get more than just two times 9 Keywords to choose from. The GUI has enough space on the right hand side and it shouldn’t be too hard to implement programming wise. This would be extremely helpful, probably not only for me. Anyway, all the best to you 🙋🏼‍♂️ Sven

Yet another very helpful video. 1) I add aspect ratio keywords to virtual copies for different devices and social media (Frame, phone, tablet, Facebook, Instagram, etc). Let’s say I have 1x1 and 1-1 in my list and I want to change all the 1-1 entries to 1x1 to be consistent. I cannot change the 1-1 in the keyword list to 1x1 because it already exists. I guess I can search for all the 1-1 images, select them in grid view, delete the 1-1 keyword and add the 1x1 keyword, then delete the 1-1 entry. 2) since you can import a keyword file hierarchy, I assume there already exists, or I can export a printable file holding the existing keyword list. Is that correct?

Thanks Julianne. Excellent as always. I was hoping to find a tip about when a range of images are selected and only some have a particular keyword attached. That keyword has an asterisk after it. How do you add that particular keyword to all of the images selected?
Is it as simple as deleting the asterisk?

Very informative. Some people are making good bucks by selling lists of keywords.

I'm creating a keywords list based on the 'Lightroom Keyword List Project'. I have a couple of questions that I hope you can help me with:
    1. How would you categorize "things" that fall somewhat between "WHAT" and "WHERE"? For example, mountains and lakes. A mountain may be present in two photos taken from completely different locations, which seems redundant to label in each instance (and leads to my next question). Categorizing them as "WHAT" creates confusion for smaller items, such as a hot spring or geyser. These items can't be present in photos shot from elsewhere, but technically, you're not at a geyser, you're seeing one.
    2. Can the same keyword exist in two different hierarchies?

    Really useful info Julieanne,
I knew most of your tips,
but I did learn some new tips.
Have you any thoughts on a couple of (expensive) 3rd party Plugins for Lightroom,
namely, Excire & PeakTo, both using AI to populate your photo collection automatically with Keywords ?

Great video (as always). Do you know why the keywords are not synchronized from Lightroom Classic to Lightroom?

The thing that is missing form Lightroom Classic keywords is a context-dependent scope. In other words, what we see is all the keywords we have ever created over the lifetime of the app. I would like to see only the keywords relevant to the current collection, so something similar. Does this make sense?

So rather simple ineffective creation of keywording, rather than the more effective use of Bridge templates for a broad range of keyword entries along with other relevant specific applicable metadata. I usually add around 50 keywords and rely exclusively on templates generated and saved in Bridge (or Photoshop). I have never found an option to save collections of keywords (around 50) in Lightroom - why is this template option not available ??
Only drawback with Bridge Templates is that the original shoot date is recorded in the saved template, so later use on subsequent shoots has the previous shoot date added - frustrating
