- This is the private residence of architects Hiroki Tajima and Kaori Tajima, who bought and lived in a used house 20 years ago and rebuilt it in 2018. The large camphor tree has watched over the family since they first moved in. It is very important to them, but because it is evergreen, the garden tends to be shaded. So for the new house, they decided to build the first floor out of concrete and create a bright garden on the roof, with two wooden huts on top. The large front garden, a courtyard where you can see the changes right in front of your eyes, and a rooftop garden where you can enjoy the light and wind: I hope you can experience the joy of feeling nature in these three gardens through this video.

I like the concrete perfectly matched with wood, metal and the greenery. The roof garden with two detached bedroom houses is extraordinary. I also like the double height atrium which bring light from above the master bedroom bringing inside a mini nature. This is a unique dream house of modern Japanese style.

I am blown away! That beautiful majestic tree. The lifeblood of the home. This family home is ideal in every way. Places to gather together inside and out but also places to have space to one's self sometimes. Love the bookcases along with every thing else.

いやー、良い家ですね。まさにcozy corner. 床を掘り下げて、視線を自然に近づけたところがみそですね。コンクリート打ち放しで、地盤面よりも掘り下げたとき、湿気や結露などはどう対処されているのですか？リビングのサッシが木建だとおもったら、そとから見るとアルミも見えます。Fixをアルミにして可動部分を木建にしているのですか？

Thank you for your comment.The large tree in the garden blocks the glare. And the first floor level is a little lower than the ground and there are eaves on the south side, so glare is avoided.The light from the skylight is no problem because it only shines in part of the room.

这个房子设计的太美了，我家有点类似，小了很多，公寓房的一楼带地下室，地下室我保留了原来的清水混凝土墙面和顶棚，地面做了自流平水泥硬化，安藤忠雄的风格，还有一点点的wabi-sabi

ご質問ありがとうございます。設計者で住まい手もあるarc-dさんによると、「窓を大きく開けるときは網戸を閉め、テラスに半透明のカーテンをするなどで対応できている」とのことです
