I fell in love with Sarah when she was 9 years old. She and her mother were regulars at the Wimberley Texas Friday Night Bluegrass Jam. We played "rounds". We went around the circle of musicians and each of us selected a number to play. Sarah was spot on at that young age and we all knew that she was destined for a great music career.
What a cool story Lee. I have been watching Sarah evolve for the last 10 years (online... you are so lucky to know her). She has become one of Americas best songwriters, loved and respected by all who work with her.
"dreamed we fell into the night Your darkness shined the brightest light We drove for miles on the moon I’d go anywhere with you"..... Love her style, the simplicity of her lyrics, the purity of her voice.....the clarity of her thoughts.
Her voice is a emotional knife that cuts to the soul....and what a beautiful touch on the strings of the instruments she plays...what a blessing it is to hear such beauty.
Heard this track driving home on Bob Harris radio 2 country, couldnt wait to get back and source the album...absolutely sublime..will be spreading the love I know a few people who will undoubtedly fall in love with her sound..
This song "Mile On The Moon" in particular is very beautiful and well done. The new songs (album 2013 "Build Me Up From Bones") are more carefully constructed, well-defined melodic lines, the voice of Sarah feels more safer, more controlled, especially in high grades, compared with the vocal performance in previous albums. Thus, the path is made by walking, and in view of her 22 years old, in her compositions reveals traces of a musical maturity unusual, if we consider also the demanding musical area where Sarah Jarosz is inserted.
great song, beautiful rendition, love her! Yes her latest music is my first experience even hearing her, so imagine my shock at how well they changed octaves , ?, cadence, during a song- lots of hard work behind this
Sharon Mickey Thank you. I figured that out soon after I asked but thanks so much for the reply. He is so good. I really appreciate this trio. Alex's stuff is also really good. I now know of at least 5 albums that I want now.
A decade on, this sounds pristine and new. Sarah has that magic about her.

Who is the cellist? He is phenomenal both playing and singing. Adds a perfect third dimension to Sarah's music.
