This watch is just what I have been looking for: a polar projection world map that occupies the entire dial, and a rotating inner bezel with city names.
Based on the excellent presentation and review here, I ordered one, and am eagerly awaiting its arrival. Thank you!

You should check out their Moon Phase watch. It’s really nice.

It never ceases to amaze me that a lot of these Chinese brands don’t care that the names they give their watches put so many people off buying them. We have Tactical Frog, Mysterious Code, Berny, to name but three, and now we have Welly Merck! If they wanted it to sound German surely they’d have called it Willy Merck (although that sounds weird too). I’d never buy a Welly Merck watch as long as it had that name on the dial even if it is a decent looking watch.

Thank you for your information,we will design the watch without the Welly Merck on the dial

Welly is short for Wellington. Welly Merck’s father was German, and his mother British.

I think more potential buyers would be put off by an inscrutable, unpronounceable Chinese name on a watch being sold into western countries. You don’t see any Western watchmakers putting a Chinese name on their componanies/models.

@@Area_man115 a comment on this thread from them states that they are going to drop the name on the watch in favour of the logo only. A good move I think and nice to see that companies listen to feedback.

I bought a bunch of their Starry Night Edition watches. I am really pleased with the quality, and I honestly like the name.

I think it’s an interesting looking watch for sure. And they seem to have some interesting designs in their line up. As for the name… I mean I thought “San Martin” was a silly sounding name when I first got into Chinese Brands. Thanks for the great review!

@@WMWatch I think you misunderstood me. I think your name is fine. I said when I first looked into Chinese Brands, I thought San Martin was a silly name but obviously they are now the number name in Chinese Brands and more. Thanks!
