For liquidation of threat from back Germans have undertaken the massed air raids. In them participated more than 500 planes. But also the Soviet aircraft has concentrated here to 900 planes. Opposition lasted over two months.
Struggle for domination in air was severe. And in it a leading role the Soviet fighters of new generation have played.
On a disk there are the additional materials containing short technical characteristics of planes, presented in the given film: Yak-1, MiG-3, Lagg-3, Yak-7, Yak-9, La-5, Yak-3, La-7, I-185, I-224, I-225, Pe-3, La-9, La-11, R-39 "Aerocobra", Р-63 «Kingcobra».
@RobertoMattes Well not a bubble canopy, but almost a bubble canopy only 2 thin frames... Yes I also noticed when he said something about 5 machineguns...
7:55 is lagg-3
Jak - LaGG 😕
@Arg0n01 Yes! at Exactly 7:40 is YAK 1-B, I was referring to the description that folow it, that starts at 7:54. :)
That description is about the LaGG's not about the YAK's.
You can see that trougth pictures.
The aircraft in the picture hasn't a bubble canopy, no version of the YAK had't a bubble canopy...
@RobertoMattes it's a Yak-1b. The shape of the tail and the non streamlined oil cooler at the bottom are tell-tale signs of the Yak fighters in general, also, notice the chin oil radiator intake. The aircraft in the picture also has a bubble canopy, no version of the LaGG had a bubble canopy...
Is not the YAK-1B at 7:40, is a LaGG modification, yo can confirm that trougth pictures.
7:40 is yak-1b. Abandon all doughts
however the aircraft at 7:57 isn't a Yak, it's a LaGG
