You actually take fire damage at the end of every second action, if you’re in a room with fire. I forgot exactly what page it’s on in the book, so I’d have to look that up. If I get around to it I’ll definitely let you know what page. But yea fire sucks lol
Ok i think i have the brain of a gold fish. I just got this game. I am a bit confused with the actions and movment. At 22:20 you finsih the two Actions you have... can you please explain why you carried on and not move on to the Event Phase? Thanks
Hey no problem Alex. So you don’t only get 2 actions on your turn, as long as you have cards to pay for actions you can keep going. Tracking 2 actions is important though because of fire, if after every 2 actions you ended in a room with fire, you would take a light wound. In a multiplayer game you would only be able to take 2 actions, then it would be the next players turn, and turns would keep going around until you couldn’t perform actions anymore. But in the solo, since there isn’t another player, you can just keep going, but still tracking your every 2 actions, for the fire like mentioned. I hope that helps.
Hahah for sure man, and thanks dude glad you enjoyed it. I had fun, and definitely educational for me as well haha. I'll have more playthroughs of Nemesis up at some point, maybe play with some expansion material thrown in as well :)

Hey brotha thanks for the comment. Danger actually reads “place a noise marker in each corridor connected to that room that does not already have a noise marker”. So actually not too bad if you have to roll for a section surrounded by a lot of noise.

Great game.. I bought the original last week from Boardlandia for $95 and free shipping. Already played it 1 solo, 3 games of 2 player co-op , 3 games of 2 player semi-co-op, 1 game of 3 player co-op.. all in 4 days ! @@BrewsandBoardgames .. so far I like 2 player co-op.. because then I care more about what the other player is doing, and I want to help. Where as if in semi-coop I don’t really care what the other person is doing. In 3 player It’s a toss up on co-op or semi. In semi I’m more interested in what the other person is doing because he can get in my way. It’s a super fun game.. most games end up with everyone dead.
@@JohnnyMcNabb63 Haha yea the everyone dead part is right. Oh dude I absolutely enjoyed it, I think it still plays very well at solo. I'll have another solo playthrough coming soon, and I think I'm going to be using the Voidseeders expansion as well. But I don't know that off hand, I'm hoping that all characters are swappable between the 2 games. I'm really hoping for that, and I guess we'll know soon enough. I'm hoping to have it in hand by February, would be a nice birthday present :)
Great Video, I love this game. Unfortunately I'm sure you died at about the 1:24 mark, as soon as you passed after getting the "Bleeding" serious wound it was all over, man, all over.. although it was great fun watching you try to survive. That "Bleeding" card has killed me quite a few times now.. Rule book Pg 21 When a Character with 3 Serious Wounds suffers any additional Wound (Light or Serious), they are instantly killed.
Ohhh crap, I always thought it was another serious wound, geez, thanks man I appreciate it. Too many rules floating around in the head sometimes lol. Yea that bleeding card is rough, if you cant get rid of it you are going to really start taking some wounds. But yea man even when getting destroyed in this game I still really enjoy it. I'm with you, love the game. Thanks for the feedback and the info man I really appreciate it 👍
then he takes a wound from something else later and just keeps playing like he doesnt have 3 serious wounds or the bleeding that should have killed him when he passed his turn
@@1981troyboy I honestly thought it was if you have 3 serious wounds, if you got another serious wound you died and not just from another light wound. But hey I get some things wrong here and there, and sometimes theres a lot going on. I never claim to get every rule right, and 100% I'm going to miss more in the future. But I still have fun with the games and that's the only thing that matters to me. Thanks for your input.
Hey man. Loved the video and the play through. You did a great job explaining the game for new players. I have Lockdown and it’s a lot of fun. Did you get your copy? Aren’t you supposed to look at the bottom of the engine cards? You should have had 2 broken and 1 working engines. Also, you didn’t flip over the room details in the last room. If it was a malfunction, you were dead anyway. Rough loss. It’s brutal but a great theme game. I love it. You should have picked the easier objective! Haha. Can’t wait to see your solo play through of Lockdown.
Glad you like it as a solo game. It feels hard enough for me at 2 player coop. I really like it though, and I’m looking forward to playing the semi coop with some buddies soon.
I generally prefer it as a semi coop with others, but yea the solo works well. I haven't tried 2 player coop yet, have you won yet? Lol I just ask because this isn't a game I win often but I still really enjoy. And you definitely should try the semi coop, it can really have you wondering what your teammates are up to. What objective did they pick, did they change the destination to something other than Earth, did they break the engines? lol. Some people don't like it and I get it, it can be hard enough on its own, and even harder watching your team. But I like it, it feels very thematic like you are trapped in this ship and have to really watch your back. But luckily you could still play full coop if it didn't suit you and your group. You'll have to let me know how that semi coop game goes.
@@BrewsandBoardgames we’ve won like 1/4 games haha. We did one 2p semi coop and we both lost, then 2 coop and won one of those. Then we tried 2p coop against the void seeders and got wrecked. Hey Ted, great question. Yes a change to the rules when playing with 1 character is that the item count is halved, rounded up. When playing with more than 1 character, the number on the discovered token is the actual item amount for the room. Hope that helps!
It probably is, with 2 handed you could more easily uncover rooms and check/fix crucial ship priorities. But I still enjoy it with only 1 character, might be a little harder but still a lot of fun.
Did you ever play Etherfields? I was si disappointed 😞 with this game also from Awakening realm so now I look very carefully on their games…. Beautiful designs they do but the games overloaded with tokens so many small rules…. I don't woona spend another 150 for nothing
Hey Oleg I have not played Etherfields. I actually did late pledge for it when the Pledge Manager opened back up a while ago. But then I cancelled my pledge after seeing multiple negative reviews. I definitely agree they have beautiful designs. And I also thought everything they did was going to be great, but even great companies are going to have subpar games every now and then. I also did end up passing on ISS Vanguard, as I don't think I could do another campaign game like that right now. Completely understand about being cautious with the money, it's a lot for these games, so you want to be sure before spending that much. Thanks for the comment Oleg!
I've been trying to get nemesis played with my group for months now. Schedules just haven't been lining up. So I'm going at it solo. Second room I explored got slimed. Damn it anyways. Game over man. Game over. Slimmed is the worst.
Haha get it together soldier! Yea dude the game can be brutal, solo or with others. Glad you were able to get a game in though, and hopefully your group can work something out to play soon. Definitely know the feeling with scheduling with others. You’ll have to let me know if you play another game and how it goes.
There are several mistakes in your play. Example: You must choose mission immediately after the first alien appears, then resolve the battle or escape or move to the comm room. You revealed a tile-room and then you chose the mission. You cheated and change all the gameplay...
Yea I forgot to decide on the mission as soon as the first alien appeared. It’s pretty hard to get everything right when playing a boardgame, especially playing solo with multiple characters and trying to make sure to talk out your turns for the audience and show cards, etc. I didn’t do it on purpose and even chose the mission which at the time, I thought was more of a challenge. I don’t see how it affected all the gameplay. But either way, I make mistakes in games, I’m not sure I’ll ever play a game 100% correct, and I’m totally okay with that. I’m having fun and that’s what it’s all about.

@@cjpny1455 and I would definitely be cool with that. I’ll give it a shot, if not I might just be able to order it online somehow
@@BrewsandBoardgames Cheers, it took a bit of dead brain cells to get this to settle. Got it now thanks.
@@alexsp7086 Lol Hey no worries dude, if you ever need anymore help just let me know.
Wrong call Bro... hahahah but fun and entertaining and also very educational. I enjoyed it.
Hahah for sure man, and thanks dude glad you enjoyed it. I had fun, and definitely educational for me as well haha. I'll have more playthroughs of Nemesis up at some point, maybe play with some expansion material thrown in as well :)
Intense playthrough! Thanks! :-)
Haha it was wasnt it? I feel like I could have played some moves better but that's part of the fun of learning stuff. Thanks for your comment dude I appreciate it!
and now after watching another video from you I have to buy this board game also
Haha hey dude, it's a fantastic game and you won't be disappointed. Very thematic and a lot of fun! If you do get it, let me know what you think after playing it.
Don't beat yourself up, the colors don't look bad at all. Game looks great, I have a feeling if(when) this comes back to kickstarter it's going to destroy my budget for the month. Thanks for putting up the gameplay, I have been curious to see how this plays at the lower player counts. Definitely going to throw this up on my TV when I lay down for bed tonight.
Hey thanks dude I appreciate the feedback. Haha yea that's what happened to me when it came back to KS for lockdown, went all-in on the gameplay stuff. You should definitely check it out if you get a chance, it still works really well at lower counts. And the cool part is, even if you aren't a fan of the semi coop, you are able to do full coop. Thanks again for the input man, really appreciate it.
@@BrewsandBoardgames Semi-Coop is awesome with the right people. I think my wife and I could have a lot of fun secretly plotting against each other lol
@@mikeysboardroom Exactly and that's where some added fun comes in. It creates a great story that you'll remember, win or lose this game is great.
If tere is a noise marker in every hallway, and u roll danger, shouldn't that be encounter? Correct me if im wrong, or maybe in Lockdown they change it
Hey brotha thanks for the comment. Danger actually reads “place a noise marker in each corridor connected to that room that does not already have a noise marker”. So actually not too bad if you have to roll for a section surrounded by a lot of noise.
Thx for respond mate. I dig into instruction, and yes, "place marker in any empty". Fair enought for me
@@APEONE Yea man don't make it harder than it already is. You had me worried there for a second I've been doing it wrong this whole time lol
Dude I definitely enjoyed watching this lol. The game was being pretty harsh on you. I think I’m gonna try convincing my game group if we could pitch in for this lol. Seems like it would be a lot of fun with at least 2 others.
Haha yea this game can be brutal, but it's one of those things where you still throughouly enjoy it even when you lose. I don't think you'll be disappointed, every game tells a crazy good story that you'll remember. You definitely should convince them to go in on it, you only really need the core game too. The multiple games I've played have all been core game, I haven't touched the expansions yet.
@@BrewsandBoardgames yea I bet each game is a crazy story. Just by going off by your experience definitely made me like it more. Bro so I swear Kickstarter is bad for your health lol. There’s another game that popped up, it’s almost done with its campaign though. It’s called Dungeons of Infinity. Heard of it?
@@OneLegPowerlifter lol yea it is man, that's why after Lords of Ragnarok I dont think I'm backing anything else for a long time. But I've only seen that game on kickstarter when I was scrolling, I havent heard of it before that though. I do see rolling solo has a quote on there about it having strong solo play and a game worth looking into, which is great to see. It looks pretty cool, you thinking about hoping in?
@@BrewsandBoardgames yea man I have been thinking about it lol. I’ve watched quite a few videos on it. Seems like this second printing is gonna be pretty good. But I’ve also just been thinking of maybe just buying something that’s easier to get my hands on like Eldritch horror or maybe Elder sign. Idk if you’ve played either?
@@OneLegPowerlifter I havent but I've heard decent things. Did they say anything about it hitting retail? If so I'd probably go that route. But I dont think the price of the game was that bad, I didnt check what shipping was.
Great game.. I Kickstartered nemesis: Lockdown but didn’t get the original nemesis because I couldn’t afford both and planning to play it more solo which lockdown has the app. But I couldn’t help myself. I bought the original last week from Boardlandia for $95 and free shipping. Already played it 1 solo, 3 games of 2 player co-op , 3 games of 2 player semi-co-op, 1 game of 3 player co-op.. all in 4 days !
I’m loving Nemesis.. just finished painting all the aliens and 5 out of 6 crew. Hoping to get it to the table again this weekend.
Wow man you have been playing a lot! That's awesome, it is a fantastic game and I think Lockdown is going to be great as well. Are you preferring any mode more over the other, semi coop or full coop? You're making me want to play it again this weekend as well, I might just do that, or start painting it first lol.
I think I might start telling people that when teaching the game, "hey you're probably going to die, actually all of us are probably going to die, but we are going to have a lot of fun". Lol. I feel the same as you about it being a toss up between semi and full coop. I like that theres the option and some plays we can go okay let's just do full coop today. And it's not like full coop is much easier, still pretty difficult. Really glad you like it man, this is one of my favorites.
Just found this playthrough....brutal. Makes me wonder how many Nemesis board gamers have sought out therapy afterwards.
Haha I know right, I isolated myself in my room for 2 days after this playthrough lol.
Thanks mate helped me make sure I’ve got the rules right.
Hey thanks for that dude, I did unfortunately make some rules mistakes that I caught afterwards. I was also died a little earlier than I did in the game. Someone else pointed it out. But if I can help at least a little than I'm happy about it. Thanks for your comment dude I really appreciate it!
@@BrewsandBoardgames There are a lot of rules and I think it would be tough for someone to get through a full game without at least one stuff up!
You need to paint your Aliens and crew !
Haha I know, I will I promise! This one is at the top of the list to paint I swear, next playthrough I'll have them painted :)
I just bought it and mostly for playing Solo. Glad to see you enjoyed it.
Do you know which Charakters from nemesis are playable in lockdown? And otherwise.
Rule book Pg 21
When a Character with 3 Serious Wounds suffers any additional Wound (Light or Serious), they are instantly killed.
There’s an errata from the faq that we didn’t apply because I hadn’t read it before trying them. Their surprise attack is printed wrong on the summary sheet. Whatever it says inside the rulebook is correct. Not to make excuses haha, I think we still would have gotten rocked by them
@@roofustheman Haha hey I think your win percentage is still higher than mine lol. Interesting about the errata I'll have to re read it, I did scan through it to see some things about the core game. But I havent played with the void seeders yet, so I'll be sure to check it before playing. Thanks for the heads up. And nonsense dude you definitely would have had that game won haha. What are your thoughts about the voice seeders so far? I'll try to play with them on my next game.
@@BrewsandBoardgames I thought the void seeders were cool - definitely feels different than the regular intruders. I don’t want spoil your first play with them too much, but I will say we got a heavy amount of contamination cards compared to the intruders. It’s a different experience and I think that’s good. I’d need to try it again to see how they stack up. Right now I’d say I like both with the core/intruders being a little bit better.
@@roofustheman I'm kind of gathering maybe seeders means infecting the players with larva more? Like seeding the larva into the players? Lol sounds crazy and a bit different and I like that as well. I'll try them out next time I play and let you know what I thought, thanks bro.
I thought once you got three serious wounds, once you get ANY wound, you die. This includes a light wound.
Yea I messed up during the playthrough, if I remember correctly. At the time I thought it was if you had 3 serious wounds, and you got 1 more serious wound you died.
But anyway… i loved that playthrough.. have you planned to give us some more? 😃🙏
@@martymcfly4447 Hey thank you! I have a few more Nemesis playthroughs on the channel. You might have to look under the "live" section of the channel.

Watched the rest of this today. Funny as fk man. "This game is sick." 😂😂 Quality bants!! Don't you die when you have 3 serious wounds plus one light wound ?
Are you doing half the items in the room rounded up because you're only single player? or is that the normal procedure for the game? You never said.
Hey Ted, great question. Yes a change to the rules when playing with 1 character is that the item count is halved, rounded up. When playing with more than 1 character, the number on the discovered token is the actual item amount for the room. Hope that helps!
Didn’t realize you only use one crew member for solo. That feels like it would be harder than controlling multiple
It probably is, with 2 handed you could more easily uncover rooms and check/fix crucial ship priorities. But I still enjoy it with only 1 character, might be a little harder but still a lot of fun.
I just got my copy of Ghostbusters x Men in Black from IDW and it looks lovely did you get in on the preorder?
@@aguywhocodes I did not, how are they so far?
