No worries about Bohemian Rhapsody. Just remember, if you don't like a song, they will bring a new life to it. They have done that for me for many songs. Hope you choose to do it.
I have recorded my Bohemian Rhapsody video, but it's totally blocked at the moment! Have to wait a month for the claim to be released, or maybe sooner 🤷🏻♂️
If you watch the Sing Off contest for all acapella groups, this is where it all started. Scott, Mitch and Kirstie all went through high school together, and in order to enter the contest they needed to have a minimum of 5 members. Hence, they acquired Avi and Kevin.
One thing you’ll find with PTX is even if you don’t like a song, you’ll probably like their version. I don’t like You’re a Mean One Mr Grinch but love theirs. I also hate 12 days of Christmas and I will listen to their version.
As others have said, PTX will make a song that you don’t like one that is worth listening to. I really don’t like the song Hallelujah, but I’ve listened to the PTX version probably at least 50 times or more. Listen to Bohemian Rhapsody just for the sheer genius of the way PTX arranged and performed it.
I'm not sure you realize that this is a mashup of two different songs -- Naughty Boy's "La La La" and Disclosure's "Latch", both of which featured Sam Smith back in 2013. Pentatonix's mashups and medleys are so smooth that it sounds like that's how they should have been written. We can be very good at steering you to songs by PTX that you may like, but their catalogue is so vast that it’s fun to just browse and pick something out on your own too. Some of my favorites lately have been Havana, Come Along and their original Anchor. They never disappoint, as you may know, so give Bohemian Rhapsody a shot when you’re ready. Loved your reaction! I'll enthusiastically second "Anchor", which is criminally ignored because it doesn't have an official video. I like most of the songs on that album, but my three favorites don't have videos.😠 ("Anchor", "Bored", and "Never Gonna Cry Again".)

This is one of my favorites of theirs. So glad you did it! As for not liking an original. I absolutely hate Elvis's Can't Stop Falling in Love, but PTX's version is pure heaven. The only version I will listen to. Thank you for reacting to this one.
There are quite a few original songs from other artists that I don’t care for, that when PTX covers them they become some of my favorites. Gold by Kiara is one of those for me. (Very unpopular opinion) Mary Did You Know is the only song I dislike by everyone. I don’t even know why I don’t like it. I think it’s the key.
I won't drag you, but yeah, that's an unusual choice for universal dislike. The PTX version is my favorite, but I also like the ones from Peter Hollens and Home Free, and there is the version by Voctave, with one of the composers of the song. But music is very subjective, and I have dislikes that would scandalize the Pentaholics. I just keep that sub rosa.
