Nick is the man. A true pioneer & class act. Had the privilege of hanging when he visited Toronto 10+? years ago.. he took us to the Leafs game and we partied later. Was a surreal experience considering we grew up skating in his tees for years prior. Now having a shop for almost 10 years - and all this was prior to us opening. You still relevant as hell Nick congrats you need your flowers thanks g
RIP Jonas Bevacqua a true streetwear legend and pioneer. Followed Nick off Hypebeast forums and Bobbys blogs all in HS before the recession. They're how I got hip to Dom Kennedy, Pac Div, Casey Veggies and such. Good times back then
Bruh this came right on time as I'm in the middle of relaunching my brand in a different direction. Diamond Supply brand has been my motivation for years. I even got a Diamon tat on my shoulder back in '09 at Tampa Am. This is everything I needed to hear!
It’s so important to be able to recognize opportunities. If he wouldn’t have been there designing Dunk colorways and said “Put a Diamond on it” things could have been way different. All of us that grew up skating in the early 2000s knew Diamond before that because you’d see pictures of Koston and whoever else wearing the tees, they’d have ads in Thrasher etc, but after that Dunk came out the brand totally skyrocketed. Really inspirational and so glad you guys did this video.
Eric, the grind is something to be recognized and saluted. Couldn't get the Jerry Lorenzo interview but you come through with a 20 min+ convo with legend Nick Diamonds!? May this yr be a great one for you and Superline
I grew up in a small town so things were different. I dated a girl who’s uncle had a weed shop and he was a great dude, I would buy diamond and IPath from him just so he would let me cuff bongs. Good times
Ahhh high school streetwear days
still wear
