It's a joke that when you go to buy one you need to walk around it and check panel gaps, it's like your picking up a second hand vehicle and checking for dodgey crash damage repair.

Great video guys. I had a couple of observations. This is the first car I have seen that doesn't require you to compromise your steering wheel adjustment to provide a clear view of the instruments. The 2nd observation, naming a silent car blue thunder?
Another happy customer! We put an order on the Model Y (in blue) when they became available in the UK. It’ll replace the VW camper we sold and pair with the SR+ we’ve had for the past few years. It was interesting to hear your thoughts on the ride. It’s become popular for reviewers and commenters to slate it for and ‘unforgiving’ suspension. I’d assume it’s tuned to carry serious weight, and will benefit from being loaded up with camping gear and luggage etc? But it looks as though it’s fine with the 19’’ rims. Beautiful car.
Good luck with your Model Y the blue is a very nice color, I just picked my white Model Y from Cherry Hill NJ on Friday, I was very happy with the panel alignment and paint finish, I was also watching a lot a video's on fit and finish and had concerns too, we are a 3 Tesla family now, my son's Model 3 and two Model Y's.

We went for the upgrade to 20” induction wheels instead of doing aftermarket since the prices of rims have increased. I’ll just place a rim saver to protect it from curbrash.
The blue is a great exterior color, but the white interior looks very stark. I'd much rather there be an option for a brown on the order of Porsche truffle seats and matte black or a pewter trim. This video reminds me of when I introduce a new technology device to someone. It's good of you to walk him through the process and provide him with the confidence that he's making the right purchase and getting a quality delivery.
when did yo order yours? I ordered mine on 7/31 and have a 11/15 to 12/13 delivery date. It jumped back and forth for a while, but has been stable to date. Getting excited and impatient!!
Recently went on vacation in Hawaii, Tesla's were very common on Oahu. I do wish Tesla's would have retractable roof shades like the VW ID.4. Aftermarket shades for Tesla's not an ideal solution.
A sensible video approach to a new challenge in driving an EV. I’ve an order in for the model Y finally after waiting ages for U.K. RH supply coming early next year 🤞 After test driving a model lll I was won over but sadly the crazy price for the performance version Y over here has tempered my choice to the long range. Cant wait tho and every video of a lucky new owner makes me greener - - but that’s Elons plan I guess Greener future😊. Thanks for a nice video and congrats Greg👍

Hi Jose yes the 20 inch wheels have less rubber to absorb the road shocks on the right is a bit rougher but it’s so just as accurate when you drive

Tan seats are only offered for the Model S and X
@@Itzryan288 The tan in the S and X are way too light, based on the photos. I’m thinking much darker, like a baseball glove.

As an owner of a blue Model Y, I can attest to that. It's also kind of cool how in certain lighting conditions, it can look black as well.
