I really needed to hear this today!! I’ve been married twice in my life, both times to men who I didn’t know were addicted to drugs, smoking and alcohol. They were verbally and physically abusive and refused to give up their foul habits of drinking and drugs. Alhamdulillah my faith became stronger, and I refused to let go of my deen, even though they hated my Islamic ways and that I practiced my prayers each day, I told them that Allah will always come first. I divorced them for the sake of Allah, and even after the divorces, they never stopped slandering me and humiliating me. The community naturally went against me because they believed the men and even enjoyed the humiliation I went through, so I lost all my fiends and even family members. But Alhamdulillah that too, made my faith stronger because I became close to Allah! I always used to wonder why did I have to have marriages with the exact same type of men that did the exact same things to me. But after hearing this, my heart is smiling Alhamdulillah ❤️❤️❤️

I needed this so much, jazakallahkheir ❤❤❤ Have been asking myself so many times, unlike Asya, why did I chose a narcissist who betrayed me and hurt me so much to be the father of my children? I see Allah's plan now, two of the best women were tested with single parenting (Maryam) and an abusive spouse (Asya) in order to perfect their faith. Alhamdulillah, it's an honour. May Allah guide us through our tests and forgive our wrongdoings.

I am in a marriage and it’s been 20 years. My relationship with my husband has not improved, his focus is his parents who live abroad and gets brainwashed by his siblings too. It’s like his a body without the mind/heart elsewhere. there are days very rarely that he is actually focusing on us. I have 2 kids and coping with life we have communication problems there is no companionship in marriage. I can’t say how i feel or about my health he never listens. Allah has tested me more the last 7 years as i have a severely autistic non verbal son who is 7 years old and his behaviour is very bad. He doesn’t understand anything and is on nappies and has a very limited diet which affects his health and his always hungry. The tests is getting harder and there’s no solution only the help of allah. Any advice and dua will be appreciated.

      Dear Sister,
I had tears in my eyes just imagining your plight. It hit home because its something i have been through. My son had leukemia and almost similar circumstances of marital life. My son is in jannah now. I want you to know nothing lasts forever, not the good and not the bad. Its the law of the universe..i used to listen to surah Rahman in qari abul basits voice, just the soothing and powerful rhythm of his voice. An advice i would like to give you, though you may not fully comprehend it, is to forgive. Forgive your husband and also yourself. Lusten to the recitation and wipe your heart clean. Remember everything that comes to you is through the Almighty so your husband is just a facade, its not between you and him, its between you and Allah. Don't hold on to the negativity, forgive and find peace. Connect to Allah and you will find the strength to pass through this test.

Listening to this soothing bayan was most touching to say the least, especially in the present day Gaza context...
My tears have dried up watching the daily genocide of babies, children, elderly, mothers traumatized, fathers kidnapped, tortured and killed.
Yet, somehow along the way these days everytime I read Martyrs been killed in Palestine, my heart consoles me that even before they get massacred by the enemies, they are no longer there to feel that unimaginable pain, because Allah Has Destined them to be Martyrs, and Has Protected them in His Unseen Ways.
Martyrs in Islam don't die, SubhanAllah.
The Eemaan-filled Palestinian children and adults are giving me the strength to bear their pain 😪
    Wallahul Masta'anu.

Because of such horrible marriages, this is why divorce is allowed in Islam and we are blessed for that-- though most people have heard a false or weak (very weak) Hadith circulating amongst our idiotic communities that divorce is the most hated permissible act for Allah. Yeah so why did Sahabah divorce and why was the lady allowed to divorce the Sahabah that prophet SAw spoke up for out of pity for the guy? I'm so glad my family actually has Islamic scholars so we aren't trapped in that false restraint against divorce as much as others. We aren't Catholics of old.

The crying out to him that she may have been doing in secret... You don't just get to her station by Sitting idle... You don't get to her level of patience by setting idle.. It takes devout worship of allah... And most of the time that is done in secret... Do not glorify this type of situation. Do not lead women to believe it is better, or even ok, to stay in an abusive marriage because they will be rewarded. The religion gives us the right to divorce and that right should be supported above the idea of abuse in exchange for reward.

I totally agree with everything you are saying as these type of people make you feel you too should stay in this toxic relationship, when infact if you decide to stay you and your children are slowly being poisoned and the perpetrator is getting worse and worse. Honestly there does come a time where your body just starts to shut down and believe me I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy.
Not only will you need to heal your trauma, but also your precious children's trauma. These narcissists never have, will, or able to love you or their children.
They only know how to love themselves.

But if it's on the video, from what I've watched, he only talked about women complaining about, for exemple, themselves wanting to be better muslims but their husband not praying, which doesn't sound like abuse. Then he mentionned Assia, a woman of perfect faith who was married to the worst of men !

I was married three times. Each time I married , my relatives attacked my husband with sehr. It didn't matter how good they were to start with, they became corrupted with sehr and became like demons and turtured me alive. Each marriage broke me more.
And the solution? I learnt to worship Allah and that was what build a wall between me and the sehr coming through.
In the end though divorce was the only option.
And my enemies moved on to my children.
The better the worship became, the less the problems manifested.
Perfect your worship, and the days will pass in peace.in shaa Allah.

Because many many of the teachers and those who spread information spend most energy on beating women over the head with hadiths about sex and women in hellfire etc. They do not address these narc, misogynistic males, not men. They seem to believe they are all the same caliber of men as the Companions, which they most certainly are not. Classic narcissism, deflect, blameshift and betray.

Because the first reason is that the subject of this video requires discussion on the unfortunate & negative cases.
The second & more importantly is that being of any faith (in these cases Muslim) is by default… this is the crux of this discussion…
you’re only a good person if you follow the religion not just be of that religion.
In being Muslim there are so many advantages which unfortunately Muslims by default do not take benefit from by following… there are clear guidelines for man & woman but the sad fact is a lot of the men mentioned here are not a product of their religion but only a product of their upbringing, their peers, & their own trauma/experiences.
The teachings & guidelines haven’t even touched their headspace, heart or souls…

I was a very soft hearted and naive girl when i married. In hindsight I know he targetted me because of my good qualities. And its seesm that these demonic narsisctis people target you most when you have beautifull qualities. Now its 11 years later and i am burned down, tired and bitter. WItb several health issues.
He turned out to be a huge huge narsisct. So is his mother, his father is a big enabler. I hate them.
This is why i get so angry listening to all these sigma en alpha male nonsense videos on youtube. Blaming women for everything but taking no responsibiliy themselves as men.
I did everything according to these bullshit rules, I worked and was a homemaker too (so basically 2 fulltime jobs), cooked, did the household admintration and took care of finances, plus still did my best to look femine.
He only had 1 fulltime job, his other ‘fulltime job’ was bitching on me non-stop, having (i kid u not) 5 hour long discussions with me. Like the plague he couldnt let me be in peace.
Now he wonders why i hate him and bitch on him too… I guess taste of his opwn medicine.

I appreciate the Iman’s message.. However , many times Muslim scholars fail to address a Muslim women’s rights during marriage. A Muslim woman is not obligated to stay in an abusive marriage. Especially , a Muslim marriage that ends up with her being murdered !! Also, a Muslim that does not pray is considered a Kafur within some schools of thought. Why are we encouraging women to stay in toxic evil relationships ?? You are are assuming that Alah will not give her Jennah if she leaves her abusive marriage , and that is not Islam or correct. May Allah give our Muslim sisters guidance and them the knowledge of knowing their rights , Ameen!!

Assalam aleykum. Wallahi I've read your comment and I'm so happy!
Women often feel like they have no rights during marriage and as a woman you'll be told to have sabr but a man will be given the option of talaq real fast!
I often ask myself about fatwas of marriages where men aren't practicing Muslims while wives are in the Deen. In marriage women are told to obey their husbands if he asks you to pray, have your hijab on etc. What about husbands who are aren't practicing and are given naseeha by their wives to change their wives but it goes futile. Does she have a room for talaq too or is she asked to stay and have sabr?

Some women can't just walk out of their marriage, it's not that easy. Before deciding to just get up and leave the marriage a lot of things come to mind and there are sometimes more issues that can happen when the person decides to leave.

Even the "religious" girls choose the bad boys.
And this isn't like Aasiah, she was already married to Fir'awn, but then she converted, so it's not the same thing.
Scholars of fiqh said that kafaa'a (equalization) is legislated regarding deen, meaning a pious woman shouldn't marry an unpious man. But what does Islamic principles even mean to the masses of people upon the creed of irjaa?
