  • For thousands of years, people have placed curses on their enemies and wished them misfortune. Many of these hexes have involved pleas to the forces of the occult with prayers and rituals.
    Sometimes it might be an actual object or a place that is cursed, like a tomb. Many Medieval tales involve warnings about destruction and deaths that appear to be linked to curses. Let us travel back in time now to the Middle Ages and hear about some of these mysterious tales of a biological bomb, the downfall of a dynasty, and why a bank in Tokyo opened an account in the name of a samurai warrior who had been dead for 1,000 years.

      Yeah man, I yearn for that... a time when communities strove together to make things to glorify a higher principle and felt proud of the legacy and beauty of it.
      Sure beats the asthetics of the modern and post modern especially. I'm speaking mostly of the aesthetics as in other ways I'm obviously much happier in the modern world, but there are elements of the old we might recapture in modified ways.

    Perhaps the fungus was intentional. They may not have been able to cast spells, but its possible the lore originates from some kind of ancient bio-weapon.

    Number one just proves that people should leave well enough alone. Similar to frozen viruses being thawed out and wreaking havoc. Also, my dad had a theory that sending craft into outer space and bringing them back could bring back hitchhiking viruses and bacteria. Maybe we should mind our own business

    • @janececelia7448
      @janececelia7448 Год назад

      Humans can't help being curious cats.
      Your dad is probably right. Humans interfering with nature has caused many spillovers where viruses have been unleashed from their usual habitats. Imagine the viruses that spaceships might bring back, though I'm sure the ships and all on board will be quarantined.

      My dad said the quarantine after Apollo 11 was a waste of time and money.
      I think my dad was right.
      Space holds lots of dangers. Viruses and bacteria are not dangers from space. Space is dead.

      @@ddegn The truth may surprise you. In fact, it turns out that over 250 different species of bacteria and fungi can survive in outer space. Even more shocking, they actually thrive there.

Now have 8 grams gold and 1 ounce silver with two lil extra bars one 5gram one 10gram. So one and a half ounces of silver and only 8 grams gold. What would this be worth in these times please? Can I buy a loaf of bread or a house? Maybe a horse? It would be super cool to know please mate

    Please accept my constructive criticism of your pronunciation. In French, a rule is that a final s is silent, so "Jaques" is pronounced "Zhock." "Orléans" is pronounced "Or-lay-on" ("-on" is pronounced at the back of the mouth like the "on" in "honk"). "Kyoto" has only two syllables, "Kyoh-toe." Similarly, "Tokyo" also has only two: "Toe-kyoh." This root syllable is also used for the name of a traditional type of dance originating in Kyoto called kyomai (kyoh-my).
    I do not mean to attack or denigrate your efforts. I am offering help to improve your appearance in this public forum you have chosen. For free. ❤

    I always enjoy your productions, but your illustration at 9:16 has nothing to do with the overthrow of the Shogunate! It refers to the tale of 47 Ronin, based on an event that originally transpired in 1701, nowhere near 1868. The ronin are almost always pictured in clothing with black/blue & white zigzag border.
