The Torah, the five books of Mozes, was an attempt to make laws concerning religious practice and to organize worldly life. At the time superstition ruled. I think the rules have a ritual function and exist until this day as to the survival of the Jewish faith.
Just remember, because this video only touches on it slightly at the end, that these laws and regulations are no longer required for modern day Christians. An individual by the name of Jesus came in and changed all of that. Those rules were for specific people at a specific time to stand out from other pagan cultures.
Levitical priesthood was never intended to be permanent (Hebrews 7:11) The death of Christ put an end to the Old Covenant and Levitical priesthood And even then being barred from priesthood does not mean being barred from worshipping, as I understand. And as for daughters of priests who give their bodies, are not burned specifically alive but are sentenced to death before so whatever method they use before the burning.
@@Dr.D.R. Don’t care that it wasn’t permanent. If god was just he wouldn’t have these rules. Then again Christian’s completely ignore all the horrifying stuff he did like sending a bear to maul children ect. I don’t believe in Christianity bc of this and the amount of stuff it claims about the real world that could easily be debunked by science.
It’s amazing that Orthodox Jews continue to follow these rules like trimming hair around your face. You switched to the New Testament only at the very end. Very well thought out. Thanks for the info🙏🏼☮️

To merely state these rules in a popular way does not contribute anything to understanding what the Jewish faith is about.
Very Instructive, Bravo !
Matters what bible you read the NIV version has changed so much it’s useless
Very informative and helpful

Was waiting to find this comment. Thank you. 👏👏👏
Awesome channel.
So god makes people have physical deformities then says they are bad… clearly not a benevolent god.

I love Leviticus, Exodus and Numbers, show you how to live, books of teachings for life. This was well needed. Thank you
Nice video
God is not just supposed to be loving. He is good, just and wise.
The parts in the bible that don't get talked about in church. Very interesting.
Because this is OT law right
OT new law is supposed to override it

The Bible is soooooo incomplete
A burglary at night while you are in the house is a home invasion.
narrator's voice changes ever so slightly when he says the word "circumcised"; ?i wonder why?

Omg I had to jump to that. Thank you 😂
Every time the Bible gets rewritten a percentage of it has to be changed that’s why most Christian’s don’t go by the NIV version of the Bible

Female headcovering is to show respect & honor to the woman's head which is her dad or husband.
The commandment correctly translates to “do not murder”. Killing and murder are different.
This universe is a sim. The proof that this universe is a sim already exists.
I don’t think Jesus Christ would be proud of modern day 🇺🇸 Conservatives
Just saying ! 😅
Who is?
This the Old Testament, and Jesus not in
That Bible, Unless he moves on to the Testament which does mention him
Don’t feel any better than anyone, chances are He’s not proud of how you judge people
