Fantastic performance as usual and lovely review .... I'd love you to react as well to her other latest "Amen "with the youth choir which is absolutely stunning
i agree her AMEN performance is wondrous, unique and i believe could top the Christian music charts if only it could get air time. i know Amira is not seeking fame but this world absolutely needs such beautiful, inspiring and uplifting praise and worship of the Almighty and Everlasting God. What a truly awesome gift from God she is!
Hi William,I am now subscribed to your channel, I like your informative reactions, I discovered this amazing young lady not long after my wife had passed, I cannot get enough of her singing, our angel Amira touches your heart & soul. I have also found a second angel Lucy Thomas who is also addictive & when she duets with younger sister Martha WOW
Hello sir, I am very sorry to hear that your beloved wife died. There is something about Amira’s singing that gives great healing. Especially as a child, she could channel divine energies. Have you looked at this one? To me, this is Amira connecting directly to Heaven. ruclips.net/video/XDskv7WiMBQ/видео.htmlsi=drPbuM46_vWUhc9u
@@BangkokVoiceCoach- from your closing remarks on Ave Maria (W. Gomez): “This is not normal, this is extraordinary; the phrasing, perfect pitch, vibrato, singing words in Spanish from memory, astonishing ability, composure to keep going, to be so self-assured, inspiration, confidence and then this Divine Light in her eyes. This is really exceptional and why this homemade cell phone video is more valuable than any production video you are going to see; it’s more reliable because there is no hiding, this is the truth. This is exactly unplugged, raw a little, a bit of mic, but the acoustic is great, her voice is terrific on those last phrases where she goes up to A, back to the F, up to A again, just so rock solid, so mature for an 11 yo, in tune, no straining. This for me is a life-changing video I will never forget watching this for the 1st time, because I now have a different perspective on talent, on gift! Maybe Amira won’t go on to be a singer when she grows up, she might want to be a microbiologist. In a way it doesn’t matter; what matters is that she’s given this to the world. It’s going to be with us forever and as she grows older, she’ll look back on it and maybe say, ‘Oh my goodness where did that voice come from.’”
Lovely reaction William. Amira was lending her support for another fundraising charity here. The full 3 hours is on you tube, also the couple of songs, with stimulating introduction's, that Amira delivered. The second one being We shall overcome, sung rather more tunefully than young activists are inclined to sing it. A few of her recent videos have suffered from sound system problems, it's bound to happen when she puts herself out there as much as she does. Have you listened to her latest official release, Amen, with the Ndlovu choir yet? It is a tour de force. Thanks for revisiting Amira, it's always instructive to hear you opinions on her development.
i have been waiting for you to come back to our beloved Amira. She just keeps bringing Heavenly joy to those of us blessed to have found her. i so want the whole of this lost world to experience her performances; we so desperately need her beauty, grace and inspired connection with God Almighty. She is beyond our comprehension, but we know she is real with what i believe is a Divine mission.
Musically, I don't know a b-flat from a fence post. But, I have been a die-hard fan of Amira since her HGT performances. There are a couple things I have picked up that I have never seen anyone else mention. One is her apparent work ethic. It seems that whatever she does she puts herself into it completly. She doesn't seem obsessed with actually being better than anyone else. She just wants to be the absolute best she can be within herself. I can't imagine the time and effort she spends on learning, interpreting, memorizing, and practicing her music. Also, I have noticed a musical ability that I'm sure is extremly rare at her age. Even on HGT and on Andre Reiu she was rolling her Rs perfectly. I've heard seasoned pro's that couldn't do that as well as she can.
... there seems that there is a need ... She needs a sound-tech for a pre-show sound check... it seems that this year... She is killing the MIC... MORE So!!! which is telling... where her voice ls headed... as always, enjoyed watching, very nice... Happy Holidays... May Peace find it's way on your path...
Hello William, your reactions to Amira are always so honest and precise, thank you so much ! By the way, while listening some of Amira''s last performances, I guess her voice is still changing, sounding more powerful and solid, but perhaps sometimes with less smoothness and restraint. Despite the problem with the mic and her lapsus voci, she seems much more seasoned here than in her last rendition of Nessun dorma in 2018. I assume you know that in the last century, the Deutch colorature soprano Cristina Deutekom was called in Venice "l'usignolo olandese", due to her interpretation of Mozart arias alla Fenice, especially the Queen of the Night aria. I am quite sure that Amira could be already called "the Deutch nightingale"... But do you think she has the potential to sing the great colorature arias some day ? (If she is interested by them, of course). In my opinion, at this point she can, and perhaps should, sing without a microphone, at any rate on a stage like this... Do you agree ? Last but not least, some news : Amira is going to make a concert tour in the USA last month !😊
Unfortunately, only to the warm states like California, Georgia and Florida. We up in the Northeast will probably be buried with winter storms which would make traveling in December shaky at best; NYC airports close during such weather, so she is smart staying south
I had wondered why I did not really like her recording of Nessun Dorma. Your descriptions of the distortions from her microphone Etc has helped me understand my initial reaction. I very much enjoy your analyzes. Thank you.
Hello William, thank you for another reaction to Amira! You should know that this was not a musical event, but rather the annual fundraising banquet of the Ahmed Kathrada Foundation. Of course, this explains the poor sound quality, especially the excessive reverberation. This event lasted more than 4 hours. In it, Amira gave a moving speech and, in addition to “Nessun Dorma,” also sang “We shall overcome” and “Nkosi Sikelel' iAfrika” (God bless Africa), the national anthem of South Africa.
@@cmlarose50 Here you are: 4 hours of video. Unfortunately there is no sound until min. 13:30. That's why Amira's first appearance - where she sings the National Anthem of South Africa - is without sound. ruclips.net/video/UNK6NY14BhM/видео.html
William, thank you again. I think her best Nessun Dorma is the 2017 concert, or possibly her school concert in 2018. Personally, I'd prefer her to stick to her own charity, rather than the more political Ahmed Kathrada organisation.
I think her voice is exemplary in this performance. Absolutely clear and with great focus. She really is on track for a great future but she needs much better sound quality. It’s important only to upload the best videos.
Ich bin auch ein großer Fan von Amira ❤. Bitte kommentieren sie das neue Lied AMEN von Amira. Das ist unglaublich. Ich freue mich auf ihren Kommentar 🙋.
Hey my Friend, react to JOURNEY "mother father" live in Houston 1981. Great performance with insane vocals by Steve Perry (lead singer) Steve is a conter alto tenor & he was called "the voice" in 80's. Thanks 🎉
Too bad You didn't include the little speech explaining why She sings "Nessun dorma" .This speech say more about Her personality than a long speech. And it's true , in places She forgets a word , but it's so well mastered that you to be a professional like You to realize it . And then the context of thisrendition was special.....and congratulations for your comment.
Amira almost always uses the guttural R even when she speaks. In Afrikaans it is called a "Bry R" and it is not considered a speech defect. But it is not appropriate for Italian opera in my opinion. I wish Amira would just let go of the mic!

Roberto Alagna does it ALL the time in French and has ruined many (ALL!) of his recording thus. It just sounds wrong, like a street singer.
