- On a very cold, frosty morning we see the 'Afghan Express' (NM25) steaming, shunting, assembling the carriages for her run to Wool-Shed Flat. Here, she is to meet up with the 'Pichi Richi Explorer' Justin Hancock (W22), who has travelled from Quorn. Together the haul all their now combined carriages as a 'Double Header' to Quorn. I hope you enjoy this little video, a lot of others were also 'filming' on the day, and the clear skies were soon to warm up things. The section coming out from Port Augusta worked well, and is spectacular, as is the magnificent Southern Flinders Ranges, enjoy.

G'day Trevor, thank you for the video Mate. I love watching the old steam trains there is something special about them & watching all the moving parts working in unison, I could watch the mechanical motion all day it's fascinating to me anyway.
When are you going bush again mate ? I find your trips really interesting & funny at times.

Well it was changed for a 36 class NSW whistle I think
