nice little setup there with this camera. A couple of things, love that sound pick up of the engine!!! it really wants to go Vroom!!!! Excellent temperature range especially for Florida as well. Lately 105-110 degrees heat index so I know the car can exceed or come close to that 176 range. Definitely a small better image with WDR off then on at night.
I bought a Rexing V1P (not a pro) back in 2017, still use it to this day without any issue. I've been pretty happy with it, luckily I've not had to use the video for any incidents yet. The Pro camera looks pretty good, night quality looked really good, but at the $200 price point I almost wonder if you could find better cam.
I had a Vantrue and it was good, but a 2015 model. Sold the truck and since I had it hardwired, I let it go with the truck. This was on Amazon for $199.00 with. $30 coupon. I was gonna buy it but got busy in the ER. Forgot about it until last night. The $30 coupon was gone. By chance I thought, let me check eBay. $150.00. I immediately bought it. This device has great reviews everywhere. Looking forward to the install next week.
I bought one and have questions. I just did a quick test and just turned it on in the driveway. I came in the house and the video does not show location. I bought it bc I need the GPS to show the location and the speed. I bought a $300 Kenwood that does front/back but the damn thing failed after 1mo. The power button didn't work and it stopped taking a charge. How do you get the time time/date/location/speed to show in the actual video? The GPS is the most important part and to leave it out is beyond me. Am I doing something wrong? If it doesn't show location, I'm returning it.
Is the "Super Capacitor" for the memory?(ex.clock,time,etc.) The camera isn't suppose to be able to run on the capacitor for any significant length of time is it?
Many dash cameras now use a super capacitor instead of a internal battery, as a battery will start to swell due to the high temperatures a dash camera can be subjected to and cause issues down the road with failure etc. Once the vehicle is turned off, the dash camera only remains on for a few seconds to finish and close that video file then powers off
@@WORTHITORNOT I guess the temps have to get pretty extreme to kill the internal battery; I've had their original V1 for the past 5 years and so far it's still working after all this time in the Texas heat.
JohnnySixString : Mine must have been a dud, as the Challenger sits in the garage and I only drive it 1-2 times per month and this lasted 8 months. Sad it was a good unit
Best part of the video for me...the sound of your engine. 👍👍👍
Kevin - Basic Filmmaker Unscripted : Zoom Zoom 392 Hemi :)
WORTH IT OR NOT? Sweet!

Yeah I love the sound of the 392 Hemi, maybe next time I’ll let her rip up to 6,800 :)
Cool beans I want to get a couple of these from my personal pickup truck in my wife's car thanks for the video
They are great, all of our cars/trucks have one.
@@WORTHITORNOT nice

Thanks for review such an amazing Camera
Nice, been looking for a good dash camera with GPS that logs MPH on the video. It's a bit more pricey than what I was thinking.
Yes it is a bit expensive, but considering it has built in GPS and good audio is a plus, but, I agree with you.
Well, wonderful voice and now a cool hotrod too? Your wife is a lucky woman ;-)
I’m definitely the lucky one !
I'm trying to decide between rexing and thinkware does the gps have lane departure warning and red light camera warnings?
No they don't, the only one that I tested that had ADAS was this one : amzn.to/3hX55Xm and here is the GPS ADAS unit for it : amzn.to/35mQwqX
@@WORTHITORNOT perfect thanks.

I wish I could help, but this dash camera stopped working after only about 16 uses. You should probably just return it.
Are you able to flip the front, if in case of getting interfered with an officer?
Nope

What kind of car are you driving? Sounds sweet.
2012 SRT-8 Challenger with a 392 Hemi
Nice. I just bought the rexing v1p pro. To be honest I was more interested in the car.
Do both cameras record at 4k or just the front camera? Thanks
Great question and I forgot to mention it, when recording 4K it’s only the front camera that records video
I Have a new duel lens dash cam but it films in mirror image how can i change it
Look at the instructions
Neat dashcamera, but come on dude, more of the car and get into hard. Drive it like you stole it hahahaha
LOL. Next time I take it to the drag strip I’ll mount some GoPro’s to it and put up a video.
I like your voice...you have a voice that belongs in showbiz.
Haha, thanks for the compliment and for watching
