@ whimsicaladi no, it is in the stage version. in the original production it was a different version called "sitting pretty". but in all other revivals (including the alan cumming/nataha richardson one) it is redone and referred to as "the money song", or just "money". Money appears on the soundtrack for this revival, but seems to have been edited out of the telecat.
@dasnies The addition of the German version of this song just made this teleplay light years better than the cruddy show at the Diamond Head Theater ages ago. (Honolulu, HI)
I've looked for these lyrics for years! Thank you.. I've got a literal translation for you! Oh how wonderful Nothing is so ordered was By one tiny Word: Marriage. The ground floor is a fairy tale Castle by a tiny Word: marriage. And the grey grey blue at once As yet no blue ever was. And then standing there Say beseeligt Today my dream lead me to the altar It's mostly the same idea, but the word "beseeligt" woulkdn't translate, so it might be mispelled. Does anyone know what it means?
I really love Jane Horrocks's acting. I thinks she fits the part perfectly. Such a unique Sally.
he's so cute im crying
They skipped Money? Appalled D:
Also a wonderful interpretation of the part. She's a great actress.
He's amazing! I wish his portrayal of Michal in The Pillowman was on film.
I love this song and I love the scene. This is my favorite moment in the whole play. 8^)
pineapple dude's voice reminds me of strax from doctor who
omg aksfdhakjfhsd you're not wrong
Excuse me? I guess maybe not this time...
@MacNair She's brill isn't she. She won the Olivier Award for Best Supporting Actress for this performance. Well deserved methinks.
Fraulein Schneider (sp?) is so great! I love her voice.
Where is Money?!?! shouldnt it be at the end here? was it not loaded online, or did they cut it from this tv broadcast entirely?

what happened to 'Maybe This Time'?!
IKR!!!!!!!!!
Rainbow Royals It’s not part of the original musical, it was written for the movie: it doesn’t always appear in the stage show.
I know, I love him, he's so good in this part, too.
"Or perhaps an oriental! I seem to recall a rather taciturn malaysian!" Hope thaat helps :)

I’m confused. In the version with Natasha Richardson they had Dont tell mama and Maybe this time
99% sure that they added Don’t Tell Mama and Maybe This Time in 1998. This production is ‘93.
@@voiceinfestation3846 Don't Tell Mama was in the Original Broadway Production in 1966. Maybe This Time only came after the movie.
Where is Why Should I wake Up and Money, and Don't Tell Mama. I guess they were cut out.
Is Cliff's actor really American? It seems a British or other accent seems to creep into his voice.
He's definitely British
The first time I saw him I thought he was British

Stop! So Herr Schultz says that Frauline Schneider has never been married, and yet in "So What", she mentions having a man. Explain?
blithium maybe he doesn't consider it a true marriage because her first husband was a dick
Or he was just a suitor but he died during WW1 so they never married I guess
@SamE1331 I think they also cut "Maybe This Time" as well. :(
Thank you very much!
Don't worry I'm confused too. Can anyone answer when they slept together?
@gladrial89 Ever since she moved in. With her, he's bi.
Could someone please tell me what did she say at 1:06? when she says "Or pherhaps--"? It´s for translation purposes.
'or perhaps an oriental'
Fraulein Schneider looks like someone I know
Please I need to know who play Ernst Ludwig??
Who plays sally?
Jane Horrocks
I would really appreciate it.
@SamE1331 They ended up cutting from this broadcast, unfortunately.
