❤ Must be so frustrating to have to deal with what you described in the second part of the video. Having to explain over and over and over again. Yet, that is what you do... 👍🏻🙏🏻✌🏻🕊️
There are critics everywhere, most of them "opinionated eejits" as my teachers used to say the "empty vessels that make the most noise". I know you have to answer these critics but everyone who regularly follows the work you do, knows how hard working you all are and how much care you have for these 'damaged' souls. I wish I could help more but rest assured we are behind you all the way. Thank you for all you do. 👏👏👏👏👏👏♥️🏴
Scott, those people who criticize the work you do at the sanctuary but have never ever cared about the well-being of elephants in captivity, I call them "the hypocrites of life." The thousands of people who follow and support the work you do, know very well all the effort you and Kate make to give elephants a new and well-deserved life. Never give up or give in to the opinion of those people who criticize without foundation. You are better human beings than they are. ❤️🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘❤️
We share as much as we can. We try not to get too invasive with our video taping, since it can sometimes create an unnatural environment for the elephants.
Not necessarily, especially at first. After years in captivity, they can be very distrustful of anyone they don't know. You usually have to earn their trust, which can take time and requires vulnerability.
Yes they can. It similar to how you would tell in a person. It's all about studying and watching their behaviors. If you listen to what they're telling you, you'll learn a lot.
Oh Scott - gosh yes; these ridiculous, uneducated, time-wasting people - who know NOTHING about Elephants - far less care - are unbelievable. What you, Kat and the Caregivers do for these former captive and terribly abused Elephants is amazing. For however long - or short a time - they are in Sanctuary, they get to live as near as possible a free life as they would have had in the wild. I guess an awful lot of these "Sanctuary critics" are happy to gawp at an Elephant in a cage, swaying from side to side in what we know is severe distress. "Oooh daddy, come look at the dancing Elephant". I'm just thinking of Pocha and Guille. Who in their right mind would ever imagine an Elephant living in a pit?? And what a battle you had to free them. One of many. Pocha didn't have too long in Sanctuary so would I support her release again? Yes, Absolutely, Without Question. She was able to spend quality time with her daughter, become friends with the other girls and even spend some desperately needed "me time" Being Mom to Guille - as much as we love her - was tough on her so that time in Sanctuary was worth every second. And when her time came to go home, she simply lay down in the peaceful, beautiful surroundings and let go. I'm truly sorry- and not a little angry - at the fools who suddenly start shouting about when an Elephant is released from prison - for that is what a zoo is to me - and suddenly "care" and become "experts" on creatures they really don't give a damn about. Shame on them. Wasting precious time for an Elephant desperately in need of Sanctuary, and taking up your precious time in giving that Elephant the opportunity of freedom and, crucially, choice. Something they have never known. And also unintrusive Kindness, Love and Respect. Thank you and God Bless you. 🧡🐘🧡🙏
Well said! Thank you for saying what the people who genuinely care for both ex-captive Ellie's and Ellie's in general are thinking. People like yourself help give them a voice. 👏👏👏♥️🏴
Que fauna del lugar, podría llegar a atacar a las elefantas? Estan dia y noche a la intemperie y en todo clima? Cuando hay tormentas electricas también?
There are some smaller wild cats in the area, but they aren't a terrible danger and they stay away from the elephants. Because the weather here is ideal year round, the elephants are always outside, unless they are receiving treatment in the barn. They seem to love being outside all year - especially in the rain.
Gracias por la respuesta, ví que la rescatista de elefantes LEK, de Tailandia, pone bajo techo a las elefantas en días de tormenta eléctrica x q dice q ellas se ponen muy nerviosas con los rayos, por eso mi pregunta.
💖🤗🐘🐘🐘 Thank you!!! You are all so awesome!!!❤

We need more people like Scott and Kat in our world.
I vote for cloning them!

Amen to that 🧡🙏🐘
No doubt...AZA Zoos are ignorant & abusive bullies. They need to put that money to protecting & growing WILD populations vs breeding and confining!!
How soon are the new ladies arriving to freedom ❤❤❤
We don't know a date, but both are in the process of fulfilling the requirements for them to come!
Kat & Scott..awesome duo saving elephants❤❤🌈🌈
HOW DO YOU DO IT SCOTT? Aside from getting all the help you do...... how do you do it?
Hes an Ele-Angel🌞 All those elephants rescued at TES also.
Can you please share more videos with the girls I do love them and the podcast but I'd love more ❤❤❤❤

Do all of these elephants seem to trust you?
Not necessarily, especially at first. After years in captivity, they can be very distrustful of anyone they don't know. You usually have to earn their trust, which can take time and requires vulnerability.
Can elephants be more extroverted and introverted like humans? How can you tell?
Yes they can. It similar to how you would tell in a person. It's all about studying and watching their behaviors. If you listen to what they're telling you, you'll learn a lot.
@@GlobalElephants who are more introverted elephants in your sanctuary then?
