- Trying a new thing, watching my favorite fighters in their classic fights, with you all. A chance to see them through my eyes, and just celebrate the incredible skills of these fighters. This one is between two absolute legends, Boonlai vs Karuhat. As you'll see, I'm too much a Karuhat fan. My fight idol. But both just superb in this Golden Age classic.

Love this! Your commentary made it even more enjoyable, if that's possible! More of these please, and maybe a related lesson to demo a technique, tactic or strategy? :D

@Emiliano Terrell No problem :)
This was amazing! Definitely do more of these, please. I just started Muay Thai and these help me understand a lot about the thought process, fights and movements.
one of my favorite fight. please do more of this
Would love to see more of this. It's also great after years of watching fights to understand what the thai commentators are saying!!!!!!
5:44 I watched this block at least 7 or 8 times!!! Pure beauty :D Thank you for these watch with me Videos. They´re awesome.
This vid was awesome! Having you react and commentate the fight was great. It helped me observe and take notice of things in a little more detail, extremely educational for me! :) thanks Sylvie, love your channel btw
Thank you very much! Glad to know it was entertaining and interesting too! Thanks for following the channel.
Nice, Sylvie 👊☺️
Thank you for this analysis and thanks to both fighters to share their "wisdom". The explosiveness and stamina just blows my mind.
I absolutely love this! It's kind of difficult to know where to start when it comes to watching muay thai fights. When I do, I feel like I'm just throwing a dart at a board; not knowing if I'm seeing a good example of either fighter or missing out on key context for the fight itself.
I love this format, getting a hand picked fight and expert commentary. Pleeeeease make this a regular thing!!
Loved this and love your channel. Thank you
more of this please. if you can do some breakdowns too it will be awesome!
Seconded
Thirded.
Amazing! Thank you for sharing.
Loved it. And much appreciated
I was already a fan of Karuhat. What a pleasure to discover another amazing fighter in Boonlai. Great breakdown, Ms. von Duuglas-Ittu.

lopez001 I told my husband it's like watching a funny movie with someone who REALLY finds it funny.
Sylvie von Duuglas-Ittu - Muay Thai just got home from kickboxing class an hour ago wanted to say yes and have you seen Honest Trailers on RUclips! Lol
more of these please would love to see you analyze samrat's fights
More golden age of Muay Thai reaction please.Love this...
That was intense. Yes, more stuff like this. OMG
Meraviglioso, sono talmente belli da vedere che è quasi commovente...
Fantastic fight !
Dude Karuhat is a beast, I love his stance too. His stance is a lot wider and a little more closed then most muay thai fighters, which is cool I think.
This is beautiful!!!! Fight!
Sylvie.. have you ever watched these old fights with the legends themselves? ... I'm sure they'd get a great kick(sic) out of it!
Great ATG fight. Boonlai from the legendary Sor. Thanikul camp has an almost equally talented twin brother called Boonleng also worth checking out. I trained in Sor. Thanikul end of the 90s just before it closed its doors.
Commentary was great to have!
The highlight bgm is so gooood!
great fight , great reaction :D
Sawasdee krap, I never met you but my good friend Sam from Mong Pearl Café knows you :) Hope you are always well. Greetings from Canada 🤟🏻
Karuhat's style is so amazing to watch but Boonlai was 😥👌, I nut at those exchanges where he would just barely block or slip a kick, or when he times the teeps after a kick, its so hard to predict Karuhats style probably but he was timing him there
Wonderful
In round 1 Boonlai couldn't miss woth the leg kick and then completely stopped throwing it the rest of the fight. Did Karuhat do something positionally to defend against it or do you think Boonlai stopped using because he felt it wasn't worth enough points?
I did see Karuhat get a pretty good check on the last low kick, but I suspect it's just that it's a very low scoring (almost non-scoring) point. I've seen very few Golden Age fighters kick the leg systematically. In fact Kaensak, when he trained me many years ago in New Jersey told me: "Don't kick the leg, that's not a point." when I threw a low kick.
Oh so leg kick is just for doing damage ?
I wonder if it was scored differently in the Golden Age, by which I mean even less. But in contemporary Muay Thai it isn't a score unless you can distort someone either physically or psychologically. If you can build up the damage (no points) to the degree that you are wobbling your opponent, or getting them to flinch or shy away, then the points start to come.
🙏 just wondering what a typical diet is for these athletes? Any insight would be most appreciated. 🙏
Unbelievably, Boonlai said that he fought over 400 times. 300 over wins, Were there any injuries? Energizer
Oh man I feel like I just found gold with this watch with me. Does anyone know if she has ever trained with Jean Charles Skarbowsky? I know she trains with legendary thai fighters but there have been farang who have dominated in thai land such as skarbowsky and ramon deckers.
I haven't yet, but I have talked with him about it and hope to catch a session with Skarbowsky the next time he comes to BKK. He has a bew baby, so his schedule is swamped.
@@8limbsUs nice! Who else is on your to do list? Bas Ruten, Rob Kaman, Jerome Le Banner are awesome fighters AND instructors! Hard to come by both of those qualities in the sport. Would be awesome to see you pick their brain on your channel!
@@CheetoChop1 mostly I'm trying to preserve Thailand's greatest
@@8limbsUs I can appreciate that for sure. We don't see much thai fighting here in the US on tv or anywhere else. The fighters I mentioned are well known here however particularly for their muay thai and are some of my favorite fighters cuz muay thai is just sick. So it's nice to see some thai legends I did not know much about before you. Sometimes I wish a thai fighter would have came to the US rather than the BJJ family that took out all the bullshido here. Today the ufc probably would look more like thai fighting rather than mostly grappling. Not hating but striking is just more exciting both as a spectator and a fighter. Looking forward to more of your videos. I practiced your punch against a pole and hit it so hard I pushed myself back a lot. I liked stupid lol. Just wasn't expecting to generate so much power since I basically just tapped it. Thanks.
What's with the short fixing it kinda annoys me sometimes
Ps great video i loved this
Soul calibre...one of the best games ever! Li long was the man!!
ต้องดู แซมซั่น
Favorite Seoul Caliber Character?
