    What I don’t understand about the “the kids destroyed their beds” defense is that Stephanie said in a previous video that tehy taught their kids to take good care of their stuff, but then they turn around and claim that their kids are the Hulk and ripped up their sheets and bent the bed frames

    Poor people should be able to spend their limited disposable income on nice things, but responsible parents know income isn't disposable until all your kids are met which includes laundry costs and lice treatments to keep your kids (and 4 cats) clean. This surely strays into neglect, it's not that they are unable to earn more money or be better parents it's that they don't want to. They want internet fame and pity donations

    • @KylaJames
      @KylaJames  2 месяца назад +6

      okay yes 100%, you put this perfectly!! I have no issue with people spending their disposable income on things they enjoy - no matter their tax bracket, everyone should get to enjoy life. But you are right, income shouldn't be seen as 'disposable' until AFTER everyones needs - especially their kids and pets - are met!

    What the heck is going on that their kids are breaking, ripping, and ruining their beds and bedding? That is bizarre behavior, especially when mom is home with them all day. Destructive kids are usually bored kids.

      There's nowhere for them to play. They're crammed into a tiny apartment. Also don't let them fool you. They used the money that was sent by followers to buy themselves a large flatscreen tv instead of new matresses for the kids. She also loves to dry beg & say like Ohhh this blender doesn't do the best job, but it will do hoping someone will send them a new expensive juicer to make juices with.

    As someone who has worked retail for 15 years, it is backbreaking nowadays because the hours suck and people suck. It's draining work. And it depends on what retail job you have to because Walmart is different from like a store in a mall or something. That being said a $4 raise is insanely high raise in a year. He is terrible at stability even when he has all these kids to feed and house. Dude needs to get his shit together for his kids.

    • @KylaJames
      @KylaJames  2 месяца назад +1

      Fair yes! I work retail and I agree it is still hard, I always say when influencers are complaining about their job that as someone who does both RUclips and retail, my retail job is 100% harder! I think I mainly just have a problem with this specific man using that as an excuse not to work when his kids clearly need him to, but he doesn’t want to because he wants to avoid paying child support that he rightfully owes. If I can work a retail job there is no reason he can’t when he is able to, just opting not to!!

    4:08 I always hated hearing her say this. You don't need to live through a bad experience to know it's bad. I don't have to live in a too-small apartment to know that it is unsafe for that many people and pets to live there. You can advocate for better living conditions without having to live through them.
    I feel like most caring parents would let the kids have the bed and them sleep on the couch or floor.

    • @KylaJames
      @KylaJames  2 месяца назад +1

      Such a good point! I agree, and its interesting that she doesnt get (or is being willfully ignorant) that people aren't just senselessly judging her living situation. If they were working hard and fell on hard times but were doing everything they could, and making the home as safe and comfortable as possible for the kids - ie. no mess and moldy laundry, the kids get the bedroom, they sold the ps 5 - people would not be judging and would be even MORE willing to help them out. The issue that they will never address is that they dont want to work, dont take care of the house, wont make sacrifices for the kids and are even bringing another baby into the situation.

    I actually don’t believe that they want more for their kids cuz if they did she wouldn’t be having more & he wouldn’t have left a FULL TIME job making $24/hr. Just that job could’ve been there way out. That’s about $3k/mo, they’re not married, she’s absolutely on DSS. If you wanted more for your kids you’d realize every additional kid you add is stealing from them. If you wanted more then they’d be sleeping in the bedroom with a bed & you’d be sleeping in the LR on something else because you’d know YOU made the choice to have them & keep having them. A way out isn’t exploiting the traumatic situation your kids are in. She said her kids have had lice & fleas for YEARS!! Idk how their school hasn’t reported them if they’re old enough to be in school. This is dangerous to their health. If you wanted one job to pay you enough you’d say ok, I’m gonna go back to school & THEN we’ll have more kids. You need a certification for HVAC & I have a couple guy friends that have done that for 5 and 10 years, are married, have kids, one is the sole provider, they have homes, two cars & a decent life. He worked up to that for a few years & makes rly good money now which he could’ve/could do too. He. Is. LAZYYYY!! and entitled bad combo. It’s gross they’re bringing more kids into this situation. I also wouldn’t be buying stuff for people that weren’t even making the slightest attempt to work on things themselves… I understand why people are doing it cuz they feel heartbroken for the kids.

    • @KylaJames

      very true. Even with the child support he owes, he's saying he owes $6k - at his $24/hour job that probably wouldn't have even taken that long to pay off and if he was paying when he was supposed to would probably be a pretty manageable amount. They are just irresponsible and entitled. I agree i wouldn't be buying them stuff knowing the parents just don't want to work and feel like they deserve to just do tiktok and have things bought for them, but like you said I am glad for the kids sake that people have purchased them things.

      I saw my aunt and uncle struggle financially before they were able to get a bigger place. They lived in a small 1 bedroom apartment. In total, there were originally 4 people living in a 1 bedroom place. My aunt was going through pre menopause, and she got pregnant unintentionally in her 40's. For 5 more years they lived in that 1 bedroom apartment. The 2 girls shared the 1 room while the living room was converted to sleeping area for both parents and the 1 boy. The dad worked 2 jobs, 1 day job and any job he could work after is 1st job. My mom stayed home and took care of the kids and took them to and from school and she took care of her household. To accommodate for their son not having his own space, they got him a ps2 and a handheld game boy, and he had to share his scooter and outside toys with the girls. He had his own bike though. It took them a good 5 years to get a 3 bedroom place with plenty of space for everyone. The parents got their own room, the girls still shared a room and the boy had his own room. I think it's okay to struggle in the beginning, but to continue to struggle with 4+ children and them in the living room (not to mention the mom blames them for "breaking" things) is sad. It's like once the kids outgrow their baby and toddler stage, the mom brings a new one. I can't.

    The mother of the son he has with him apparently made no effort to get the child until he was part of a viral family. Hmmm.

    I feel like since their living/sleeping arrangements drive so much engagement to their TikTok, they're going to be less motivated to make changes to fix it. Maybe they feel like it's all for the good of their children in the end but still doesn't make it ok at all

      Unfortunately you are probably right, the attention and views they've gotten from the videos are probably making them less likely to fix the situation asap. Agreed - they may feel like its for the best (get more money first) but ultimately it isnt better, and is still harmful to the kids emotionally.

    I agree i would have given the bedroom to my children and instead of a queen size bed and that PS5 i would have bought wood and built ours and the kids bunk beds myself, especially if you already have the memory foam mattresses. And plus you'd know they're built solid so the kids wouldn't be able to break them down...

    I don't believe there ever was a mattress. But they do have cats, and they do claw at things. I would believe the cats destroyed the beds more than children

    I’m sorry, but if you haven’t done a few consistent months of some sort of construction, farming, plumbing, city cleanup, waste etc, then you don’t get to claim “backing breaking work”. Even I have worked residential construction with my step dad during the summer and still go an help my husband with remodels (which is so much worse with demo especially…the lived in aspect makes it gross). Working, in general, is taxing on most people. That’s true, but not a single one of those is killing his body. What? He broke a sweat or two while washing windows and tires?? 😂😂😂🤦🏼‍♀️
    It sucks because people bought them stuff to help their kids and they 100% bet on that happening. Everyone struggles because they don’t want to see the kids suffer, but people truly need to stop!! Look at what they did with all of those beds. They still kept them IN THE LIVING-ROOM AND DINING ROOM, and don’t even finish building one of them! It’s disgusting! I’m not worried about the aesthetics of if, I’m wondering why mom and dad get the luxury of a cozy and private bedroom? Why can’t they use the living room for that and ask for a partition wall? They sick, because we know this is strictly to have intimate time, smoke their stuff, and just tune the kids out.

      100%!! when he said 'working to the bone' and then followed up with retail i was actually shocked lol. I work retail... its far from back breaking lol. and i agree, its sad that them being bought stuff is just further 'proof' to them that they dont need to work.

    Drew doesnt have a "W-2" job" because that would mean garnishments would actually come out of his check. They can't garnish a gig job like door dash. He should have a regular job and do the gig job for extra cash. In my state child support is based on the income of both parents as if the family has never dissolved ie my ex worked higher paying jobs than I and is responsible for 80% of the medical bills that aren't covered by insurance (that i carry on my kids). They add incomes together and deduct a standard ampunt and bare it on that and the number of children it is due to support. I had to garnish my ex's income because he wasn't paying as agreed and also stopped working often on purpose. He was threatened with jail or probation ans that has since changed. So a "W-2 job" is not wanted because he would actually have to pay for the other child and doesn't want to do that obviously if he did he would have a normal "W-2 job" to support them. Also i geel like he's owed money from this account so that till should be considered in his income towards child support. I heard that he was grimy about how he got the son he has in his care (on TT from an ex of course who also said she was pregnant by him but decided she couldn't have the child because she just had one and they weren't financially able).

    Love how everyone they ain’t doin it for the money and they are all concerned for their kid but here is my Venmo. Stop it. If you wanted to protect your kid from the situation you wouldn’t be on TikTok announcing his presence in the world. You’re just mad because you want some of that money too.

      Agreed, posting the kids is unsafe and also not considerate at all of their mental health or how having allll of this aired out online will make them feel once theyre older.

    Now, these kinds of vloggers are truely in the depths of the quagmire when it comes to morality, exploiting their children and child abuse for money. There is also imo a level of immorality in monetising the exposure of this. In effect, these creators are also makimg money from the exploitation of the abuse these children are experiencing- frequentlybdone under the guise of " awareness".

      I’m not sure honestly. Maybe they’re waiting to make more/ make sure it’s consistent but idk. I also think the living situation is bringing them more views and money and they probably don’t want to lose that element of their content.
