I hate bugs so much and after watching these videos and being exposed to BBs I'm actually considering becoming a Exterminator seriously that's how much I hate bugs!
Interesting comment. I can tell you that I have worked several years as a pest control technician in Toronto Housing where it is part of the protocol to vacuum up the bedbugs every single time ( and often on a roach call ) . I have never once seen a bug come back out of the vacuum and have never found and live or dead bug in the back of the truck. We used a bag vacuum with a heppa filter. I did make it a habit to suck in some boric acid or Drione periodically. I DID see a tech once use a cheap bagless hand vacuum and the roaches came pouring out the moment he turned the machine off. Personally I feel the tenant should do their own vacuuming with their own vacuum. We don't get a choice though.
I think he meant that roaches could get into the motor area then later crawl out at another residence. Not necessarily crawl out of the vacuum bag. Imagine you just came out of a huge infestation like the ones you see on RUclips where roaches are raining down on you from all angles. Well, there's a good chance a roach could get into your vacuum cleaner and then transported elsewhere. If it were my own vacuum then that's fine.
@@seephor there are vacuums specifically made for IPM uses that have a closed filter system. No where to go once you’re in the filter. Plug up the only entryway and you’re golden
Moved from a house with bed bugs had hardly any furniture had 7 boxes in my room opened them found bed bugs inside i quickly unpacked everything found some bed bugs inside here just vaccumed the floor to death found some again got rid of what i thought had bed bugs in them broom and mop tied up my floor fan in trash bag haven't found any since guess i got lucky
That's why I also perfectly seal the opening of my vacuum with a rubber plug in which I make certain to switch it on while slowly removing the rubber plug. However... when emptying my vacuum... I venture to a location where most people are almost never where there a trash container in the middle of nowhere as if intended for that reason, especially when lots of people are dumpster diving these days, sadly enough.
So, even when you have a heppa filter: Always cover the vacuum end with plastic and when you have used it for roaches, or pest control bag, close it and take it to trash immediately. The vacuum can let smell of death pest and dust to get allergies.
I recently moved into an apartment and didn't know it had bed bugs. The exterminator is coming in 2 days and they want me to vacuum before they treat. The landlord set up the exterminator and I don't know who it is, so I can't ask them this question. I have a bag-less vacuum. What do I do? I can't throw the bag in an outside trash because there is no bag. Do you have any suggestions? I thought about putting a nylon over the end of the wand, with the rest of the nylon in the hose and having the end attachment holding it in place. Do you think that would work?
I vacuumed one, called pest control and left the vacuum outside since this happened in the middle of night. If I just leave the vacuum outside can pest control sanitize it for me without risking eggs getting inside? Idk if it’s even dead I just hate them so much I don’t want to even touch them
One time I borrowed my neighbor broom and swept my floor, the brush part of the broom separated from the stick and roaches flee everywhere out that broom
The company I worked for, was selling vacuuming as part of their treatment. Every week a technician would vacuum the home or apartment. $25 each visit. I don't think they knew what they were doing because the flea eggs would be spread to the next home or apartment. It didn't seem like a good idea. I recently saw a guy add Nyguard IGR to another chemical for bed bugs. Ive only seen this once. Is this chemical effective against BBs? Ill have to look up the label. I was able to kill BBs with full strength Suspend Polyzone, 1.5 oz per gallon, but I would definitely use Crossfire if I had a problem again. Thanks for the advice. And by the way, I couldn't find a lawyer to take my case. Its probably not enough money for them to be interested. They said, you have a good case, but no one was interested. I know the company did me wrong, and my daughter suffered also from bites, but the company got away with it. I told you that I worked for this company and brought home bed bugs from infested apartments, and I wasn't even trained or in the BB department, so I had little knowledge. To think what they did to me makes me sick, but I have to try to forget it. They caused me a lot of damage and suffering. I did get a lot of training at home.
Brian Kaz I hear stories like this all the time. I had a lady hire me once who worked for a competitor. She had a duster under her seat and every time she got into her car to drive it would puff a insecticide into the drivers compartment. She made herself very sick because of no training. From my understanding IGRs don't work on bedbugs at all.

can baking soda or Diatomaceous Earth be used with or after Aprehend? Rather what can be used to follow up treatment with Aprehend that will make the residual ineffective?
I used crossfire and I vacuum everyday but I have long hair dogs and kids. I need to vacuum. I have a pretty nice hips filter canister vacuum that I empty into two garbage bags outside everytime I use and clean that sucker. I pipe out the hoses remove the brush roller everything everyday
I will wait awhile before I do. My landlord said they would have it treated. But I'm still going to treat it with the crossfire too. I don't trust them.
Four minutes into it I’m done watching this. I’ve yet to see any roaches crawl out of my shark vacuum cleaner it is the only way that gives me peace of mind at night sleeping by the vacuum cleaner. And it will get rid of all them and do time. They seem to be nothing but scraps looking in the vacuum cleaner they explode on impact, besides cleaning and sterilizing the back in cleaner I get the job done, I don’t have to smash them it’s near the dirty guts

He's against vacuuming, against Diatomaceous earth and is overly skeptical of the use of 90% isopropyl alcohol in sprays bottles. WTF? These three combined methods are very effective and cheap! Could it be that Jason the exterminator would rather justify a higher cost solution (ie. hire him)?
1.) Jason is against vacuuming by exterminators (not necessarily by self-treaters). 2.) CimeXa makes diatomaceous earth obsolete and is still fairly inexpensive (though he's not big on CimeXa either, admittedly). 3.) Instead of rubbing alcohol, Jason recommends doing up a batch of Crossfire spray from concentrate, in the amount that you intend to use, though it's not as inexpensive or easy. His problem with rubbing alcohol is that it is flammable and doesn't leave a residual.
Your going to give yourself lung cancer and or burn your house down. Jason didn't say not to vacuum just don't use a communal one. He pointed out the reasons so I'm not going to bother
