thank you for this video. i have severe clinically-diagnosed PTSD from fleas and bed bugs. the bed bugs affected my mental health so much to the point where i considered leaving this world and i’ve lived in constant fear of having them again because just like you said, we have NO CLUE where they came from, even 6+ months later. i have regular panic attacks over the fear of getting them again and watching this genuinely helped so much.

The shame when my nosey neighbors seen this pest control company with all that heat apparatus for heat treatment. After 18 months I still have some bites! I don't want to give them to anyone else!!!! I never feel safe. I step out my door in heat dryer clothes and shoes! Even that is tiring.

@@wendi2819 I called and talked to Jason. Ordered crossfire and used it. Free in Apartment building. It works. I had very bad reactions. Blisters, itchung worse than poison ivy, oak and sumac together. I'm a 4 gen logger. I get poison so bad in places you shouldn't like face, eyes, privates etc. Here on east coast they're on all trees and grow up the sides to the top sometimes. You can't burn it, rip it off etc. That oil lasts and lasts forever. I've had clothes in a bag for years and still got it after removing and soaking in kerosene. Ice was only thing that helped BB bites. It was hell. My wife and kids was fine with lil bumps. I thought it was a mosquito or whatever until I got bit and it blistered in hours and oozed and lasted a week. It was HELL. All cause a friend had them for 2 years and never said a word cause they was embarrassed. Sleepless nights with a headlamp and a handheld microscope looking at everything. I had to take off work cause I wasn't sleeping for days at a time. Wife wasn't sleeping. We tear bed apart, mattress etc. Thank God for Jason. It's been 7 months and we finally got back to normal. Between a fire last Dec 2021 then this BB crap its been hard. Just follow his advice and do what he says. Don't waste money on heat. Wash all clothing, fabrics in hot hot water. I boiled big 3 gallon pots and washed all stuff like that.

I'm so glad I ran across your video. I have been dealing with bedbugs and fleas for four years now. I'm truly at my wits end and don't know who to turn to or what to do anymore!!! It has affected my mental health, my relationships, my stability, my pets, my trust and faith in Doctors, made me question my sanity and now is affecting not only my pets physically but but myself physically as well. I have spent so much money, trying to seek out help for my pets as well as myself. I've been told it can't be that bad or had doctors never look at my proof or even examine me, but just laugh at me and tell me to try over the counter lice shampoo. Family and so-called friends tell me it's not possible, and I'm crazy. All I ever do anymore is try and clean my house, throw stuff away, wash and treat my animals, myself, and the yard!!!! Plus, I can't talk to anyone or seek out any help because I'm afraid of the same responses that I've received for so long. I really don't know what else to do.
    Sincerely,
    Sharise Radtke

I am currently using Crossfire right now and treating my entire house, and I can't tell you how relieved and happy I am that I found your videos! Thank you!!! We've had bedbugs for years also, when we moved into this house they were living in the walls and we had no idea as a matter of fact I hadn't even seen a bed bug in my life and didn't even know what they looked like until we moved in. And then my daughter started getting bit. We tried everything!! And I mean everything!! And we were talking about moving and literally starting over with nothing not even the clothes on our back because we were gonna have a new outfit waiting for us and we would change outside before going in our new house 😆. But then I found you!!! Hallelujah!! You have taught me Sooo much, and I finally feel empowered to kill these things once and for all!! And I can't wait till they are all gone so I can finally have real furniture again! This video caught my eye because I actually had a similar issue but with a snake. I personally considered it trauma and PTSD, but wondered if I was just exaggerating.
I had a snake in my home and I came within one foot of it in my cabinet. I was terrified. This was months ago, and yet every single day I check and check cabinets. Before I go to bed I check around my bed. My closet. It happened months ago but yet, the PTSD is still there.
All that to say, I feel validated in that with this video. Thanks man.

I can't believe that I searched for this but I feel so heartbroken.
I had bed bugs in my last apartment and got rid of them, or I thought I did. I live in Sweden and if you rent an apartment the landlord is in charge of extermination. The exterminator said that they were gone. They used some type of powder. I doubted it because I had done some research and I knew there could be eggs left. But they didn't listen to me and since the landlord was in charge of course they didn't want to waste any more money on the issue. I had a lot of the powder left in my bed frame which is probably why I didn't get any more bites.
Later I moved to a new apartment in a better area. I threw away the old bed. The last couple of weeks I have been getting single bites. I wasn't sure if it was bed bugs but now I'm pretty sure and it's devastating. I feel so embarrassed to tell this new landlord about the bed bugs. I'm scared to go anywhere risking to spread them around. I'm scared to have people over. Me and my boyfriend started talking about having kids soon and I have to say no because of this. I couldn't live with the shame if my baby got bites from the bed bugs. I already have a lot of issues with my mental health and this is the last thing I need..
I just don't know what to do.

A much needed video. They literally take over your life. So my story is my uncle and his wife came over and I saw them (multiple!!) crawling on him! They got mad at ME for pretty much kicking them in the ass when they walked out the door. Of course, 3 weeks later I'm seeing onsies and towsies on the couch because he sat on my couch before I noticed them crawling. I have isolated the couch away from the wall and have interceptors at the legs. They also sat at my kitchen table chairs (yes, I unscrewed the chair cushions from the chair frame and found 2 on the one he sat in - quickly killed and have seen no others there). But how many crawled into the baseboards before I knew? I am so disgusted with them for doing this to me. I got a steamer and have not seen any on the couch in 2 days...praying!
Funny how I'm the bad guy to them when they KNEW they had them. I am livid, and I will never forgive them. NEVER! I am contemplating suing them for the cost of materials and mental anguish. I cannot fathom why would anyone would KNOWINGLY come in someone's home with bed bugs. It's selfish at best, and just plain evil.

I'm going through this right now. I've had the issue about three years ago ( I live in an Apartment with a 65 year old disabled mother) & I have my own health issues. The landlord legit "sprayed" one room , three years ago and that was it. Now within the last few months lately , they've come back and what scares me the most is the BITES. How can one sleep with these painful BITES? It be different if they acted a little like roaches... roaches are mostly annoying but BB actually BITE and they HURT. That's where my stress comes from.. and thennnn knowing how HARD it is to get rid of them is what makes it even worse. I've tried everything and I'm living on a budget. What if that cheap 5 dollar solution is all people can do at that moment? Times are hard. I deff agree and hear what you saying with going ahead and paying 50 but..when you're struggling or in a bind , sometimes that's hard. I'm sitting here at 2:29am , crying. Can't sleep. Refuse to lay in my own bed. I've found two of em over the last few hours. I've actually killed both with rubbing alc and picked em up with toilet paper and flushed down the toilet. My leg is shaking as I type this statement and my landlord could care less. So the stress for me is not the "not knowing" or "worrying if I'l pass em on or if someone else will pass em to me" it's more so "this is going to be PAINFUL and hard". I have back pain , hard enough to lift the mattress alone and go wash a ton of clothes over and over again. So I'm just.. idk how to feel. I kind of feel defeated. To anyone going through this right now or have been through it , I sympathize with you and I hope and hope we can and will overcome this sooner than later.

      @alejandro3485 2 года назад +3

I’ve dealt with them multiple times in NY. I was in the same stressful situation as you. It is overwhelming and you can feel defeated and hopeless. The best way to defeat them is to have a hunters/trappers mentality. You have to really use the direct contact treatment to eliminate any visual infestation. Crossfire is the best. This guy attests to this all the time. Once you clean up most of the bugs that are out in the open you have to treat your bed frame, mattress, box spring thoroughly. Make sure you spray it liberally. Spray in all the tight crevices and cracks. Even if you don’t think a bug could fit spray it. They love extremely tight spaces. Buy the bed leg plastic traps so no other outside bugs can get to your bed after you spray treat. Make sure your bed is an island(not touching any walls). Make sure your blankets don’t touch the ground. Spray the perimeter of your bed. You have to think that you’re one big trap. If there are bed bugs in your room or house they will 100% eventually come to you. They need blood and you are the meal. The traps will prevent them from actually getting to you. The perimeter spray of crossfire will kill them. You want to spray all around the room. Baseboards. Any tight space. You need to do this treatment spray around the room and perimeter again after 3-4 weeks. 2 weeks if you are paranoid and want the spray to have stronger concentration. Check the traps every morning. I would feel confident after not seeing any bugs after 1-2 months. If you have an infestation you have to do this in every room where someone sleeps or spends most of their time. Just remember to always think of yourself as the bait for the trap. You have to outsmart these evil devil bugs. Stay diligent and persistent and you can win the battle. It’s not easy but it can be done. Once you deal with these damn things a few times you eventually become somewhat of an expert on them. The key to dealing with them if you realize you have them again is EARLY action. They breed and reproduce insanely fast. I realized I picked one up on an airplane or airport and got bit. Immediately recognized the bite patterns and extreme itching (mosquito itch x 10). I immediately took action and defeated them in one treatment. Once you start seeing them in the open during the day you have a major problem. Best of luck to you!

Thank you sir! I had bedbugs in late June till early July. Initially, I thought I can get rid of the bugs myself and bought a lot of sprays ( Harris, Cimexa and over the shelves). I also bought a steamer. Unfortunately, all these products did nothing until I started to throw away my sofa, carpets and bed. While throwing these items, I then found the bed bugs nesting on my carpet.
While battling bed bugs, by pure rotten luck I was hit by a flea infestation in the house caused by an empty bird nest. I was so stressed and only god knows how mad I had become. I gave up fighting alone because I was bringing pesticide on my handbag that I decided to called up pest control and even engaged a sniffer dog to detect if I had eliminate the bed bugs - I know this is not 100% effective but I welcome any methods to at least give me a piece of mind.
So I had the pest control to come in by 15 Aug to do ULV Misting and dog inspection. The dog gave an all clear of bed bug activity (throwing stuff works but I’m left with no furnitures) and did a second ULV misting on 29 Aug.
I’m almost on my 9 week bed bug free but I still have flea bites though they weren’t as bad as the initial infestation. I just can’t wait for these fleas to die... anyway, I also believed the igr has affected the newly emerged fleas as I can’t seem to spot them but only feel it itch after it bit me.
PTSD... yes I admit. Very afraid to sit on booth seats now and I stopped buying things online as I don’t want to get boxes in the house. I know the fleas will all soon hatched and die but I still doubt it could be bed bugs.
Hope this pandemic will be over soon and able to manage my fear properly.
P/s most pesticide available in US are banned to be used in Singapore. So have to called the pest control. Lesson learnt, get help rather than spending all the over the shelves pesticides.
    Xoxo,
    From Singapore

I am in tears and exhausted from the stress and worry..with no sleep, as I am writing this at 1:00am. For a month, I thought the bites and rashes were an allergic reaction to soaps...but nope found them and the dark spots (poop). The apt.maintenance sprayed my mattress and box springs.I have now mattress and box spring encasements, and have entrapment trays under the legs of the bed, and pillow cases with the zippers. A week later, have spotted 3 live..2 in the entrapment cups, and 1 in a plastic drawer..This anxiety is killing me.

Honestly, they should create a sort of scanner to put at the enter of the house that would detect the presence of bad bugs in the clothes we are wearing or stuff we are bringing into the house. Please if there is any engineer that could work on that this would help so many people.

We have been dealing with bed bugs for 2 months. We’ve done everything which I know through your videos probably made the problem worse. We finally called an exterminator and did a heat treatment followed by Crossfire and then Aprehend. We got rid of our bed, chairs, couch, rugs, curtains and blinds. How can we be certain they are gone? Our children and grandchildren won’t come to our house until they know for sure they are gone. We are pretty sure they are in our neighborhood. We live in a lower income area and most of the houses on our street are rentals. Recently at least half of the houses have had beds or other types of furniture out for garbage disposal. I am very scared that we got them walking our dog because he likes to sniff around a lot. We’ve stopped going on the sidewalk and now walk in the street but I’m terrified of re-infestation. My husband says we should just Crossfire our house once a month to be safe. What do you recommend? We bought a brand new bed and have both mattress and box spring in encasements. We have a new couch which they treated with Aprehend but our dog keeps pawing at it like he did when we found the bed bugs. I’m terrified that our new couch now has bed bugs. What do you suggest?

Thankful to find your channel, unfortunately I am dealing with a bb problem for past couple months. Initially I attributed the itching on my back as a side effect of a new medication I started. So I had instant denial, bb were farthest thing from my mind.
    A little background.
About 2 wks a go the itching became so intense, at night I couldn’t sleep. I live alone so I positioned a mirror to give me a view of my back. I was horrified to see I had a minimum of 5o bites. Most I had scratched them and made them worse.
I have a bad back and sleep regularly in my recliner. I throw a sheet over the recliner.
During the night when I sleep. It occurred to me that I wasn’t having itching from changing my meds and started my search. I only found a couple of bedbugs, but enough to realize I had bed bugs. I am totally mortified, and fearful to sleep.
Oh I also began sleeping in a clean fresh long sleeve shirt and long pj bottom. ( I live in a warm climate & general sleep hot). I wash all clothing & bedclothes daily. No dirty clothes ever
Initially I vaccum cleaned my furniture an applied crossfire. Each morning I removed the sheet from the recliner & followed by crossfire. All laundry washed & I did this every day. I pulled the laundry off my recliner and laundered. I continued my research and saw many people steam clean the furniture because heat killed. I began steaming every day washing bedding later. I have worked for the past with this system steaming the chair I sleep in and fooling with crossfire.
The intense itching and resolution of bite sores felt better after 3 days
My PTSD is of a range o1 to 10 being highest a solid 10. I can barely sleep. I terrified to go anywhere. Not sure how on earth I got them. I’m mortified to confide in anyone.
My plan is to continuevthe steaming followed by crossfire on the recliner for 4weeks. I follow that by washing bedding & clothes I have worn. I am so mortified and anxious if I feel even the slightest itch make my paranoia off the chart.
    Again thanks for this information.

Had my apartment infested with bed bugs, I paid for the exterminator my building management company used. Had to buy new mattress covers, pillows, pillow covers. Wasted every item of clothing I owned, treated all my shoes. $1000 dollars, six month later finally done, then pandemic hit. This is starting to feel biblical. 😝 But I have major stress and people noticed. I really had a hard time and would rank bedbugs high on my list to smite the enemy.

We washed clothing, sheets, etc. and put them in plastic bags. We called Terminix. They did their thing. We still had a few. But...I feel like they are crawling on me. No bites, just the crawling feeling. We saw them again and I have ordered the product you recommended, Crossfire. But I feel the sensation of bugs crawling. And at times, a biting feeling. Jason Akers, exterminator, teacher, counselor. Hello. What I heard was; being educated & meeting the problem head on can/will relieve stress. If so, I can relate to that. In the comment section of many of your videos I have thanked you for your kind, upbeat, educational encouragement to eliminate the dreaded beg bugs, but thanks again.
Questions: How do the bed bugs die from the Crossfire? Do they have to lay on the treated area to get it on their body? Or is sufficient contact for the bug to just walk on it? Either way, How long after contact from dried Crossfire will the bed bug/s die?

    • @GreenAkersPC
      @GreenAkersPC  Месяц назад

They only need to contact the pesticide residue or touch another bug that’s touched the pesticide to die. The time it takes a bed bug to die is relative to how much residue exposure and other variables so there isn’t really any way to know how long it takes for one to die after exposure

I’m moving in less than a week and have followed all instructions and treated my old apartment. My current concern is how to treat my books. Should I buy a storage bin and treat the bin? My other thought is to buy Saran Wrap, treat it, and wrap the books in Saran Wrap. What are your thoughts?

    • @GreenAkersPC

Don’t treat books. Just leave them in the room where you sleep and treat the bed that way they can crawl over the bed out of your furniture and die

Many bugs take longer than just one day to eliminate. Roaches take months. Fleas take weeks. It’s completely normal to not eliminate bugs right away. Just be patient and understand you’re better than them and will eventually eliminate them. Some homes take 2-3 treatments a month apart.

Iv put sticky tape on the legs of my bed which is wooden and not like the divan beds but i caught no bugs, iv now put baking soda around the legs of the bed it says that kills them iv got a new mattress with the plastic still on it the bed is away from the walls but i still can not figure out how the bugs end up on me 😭😭. I really feel for anyone going through this you will never know the stress it causes untill it happens to you (i hope not). Oh and iv been putting petroleum jelly all over myself i know ppl will think im crazy and i admit i am going crazy these bloody bugs are sending me insane. I love spiders r cuz they eat other bugs. BBs are a whole different thing. I canceled all my holiday plans. I can't think of spreading them. It's too horrifying. Every possession I look at and wonder if its the thing that will harbor them and make them come back. Then I throw it away because nothing is worth it.

Is Crossfire still working? Should I steam my molding/vents? I’m in KS & loosing my mind! I’ve paid a ton of $$$ to get my house treated. One hotel visit & my life has been terrorized. My tech came from a long time company in my town & was the laziest asshole I’ve ever met. He refused to treat my whole house & said it would actually be illegal for him to spray every baseboard. I’m an old lady & im having to do most of the work myself. He’s treated 3x over the last 2 months & promised every single time they were gone. I’ve also lost all my furniture & bedding.

OMGGGGGGGG so thankful I found you. January 1st 2022 to May 7th still have the bugs. Used Crossfire finding dead ones... HAPPINESS IS! ‼️ Can you go to other people's houses I'm afraid I'll give the bugs to my children's homes.❓ I truly can't thank you enough to finally see a light at the end of the tunnel. That this will be over soon. WHEN SPRAYING... What about old shower hat so when you spray above Crossfire doesn't end up in your hair. Mattress and box spring. MATTRESS COVER mine has holes in it I'm afraid to take it off. Is it necessary for a box spring and mattress to have covers? THANKS A KATRILLION FOR THE PEACE OF MIND! Have a beautiful day 😊

Cimexa, is it a repellent? I'm not sure if I have bed bugs cause I have not seen any but we get bites every now and then. I have had these things before and they really stress me out. But I can not find them. Can I treat my house with Crossfire even if I have not found the bugs?

Had Exterminators come last week and they used chemicals called Stryker and ProFlex. Is Crossfire a better chemical to use? If so I'll try using that stuff to rid the blood suckers.

My apartment management don't even take my calls anymore. they say they put me on a list and will let me know when they plan to do something about these bedbugs, but in the meantime I have to live with them. I have described them as microscopic Freddy Krugers. I'm up all hours of the night until I just can't take it anymore and fall out, waking up every 2 hours or so wondering if they got me and how bad. I lost my air conditioning because it leaks into the apartment so I can't run it. Now that's two things I can get any action from apartment management on. If it gets much worse than this I may as well just live under a bridge or something rent free. A fly came in today and I didn't even try to kill it, I tried to make a deal with the fly to kill the bedbugs for me in exchange for whatever it is flys like. This one seemed to like to crawl on my arm and I wasn't bothered by it until it tried to crawl on my face.

@@GreenAkersPC . Yeah, even catching a few and keeping them in a clear plastic jar. I sleep on my sofa and keep white towels on the ends where my head and feet rest. Easy to see them on white. My sofa is brown though.

Hi. I’m trying to figure something out about bedbug extermination that just doesn’t make sense to me. If the product is a residual, why would it ever be necessary to re-treat 2 weeks after the original extermination?
Everything I read recommends 2-3 treatments consecutively to ensure the bugs have completed their life cycle and are gone, but I’m confused as to why that is? Either the product is not a residual (so I can’t have assurance it will kill any bugs that emerge after treatment), or the additional treatments are not necessary?
    Can you please explain?

This is a great question. Pesticides last for several weeks and will continue to kill bugs for whatever the label claims BUT they loose their effectiveness over that period so even though the pesticides are still killing the insects they may be able to lay eggs before they die and this wouldn’t be effective in eliminating unless you retreat so the pesticides can be at their strongest

@@GreenAkersPC makes a lot of sense! Thank you.
I’ve been binge watching your account and I’m so thankful for all the information you’ve provided! Because of this, I was able to spot my infestation early on and get treated ASAP. We did order crossfire but I was too chicken to wait so I hired someone to come sooner than the crossfire would arrive.
I’m just still unsure how to cope with it all. If the bugs can live in the walls up to a year, is that how long I’ll need to go bite free before I can rest assured they’re actually gone? I wish there were some way we could just know
P.S. I would hope they didn’t go into my walls or sockets since I caught them early, but I know it’s possible. We were treated with Transport Milton btw. And I’m located in Southern California.

One word to describe bedbugs. Horrific. I also will say roaches are awful as well. We have lived in a few apartments over the years and at some point we have dealt with both.

Ppl don't get it unless they've been through it. Like ppl in a fire, my wife and I are Vets who both served in war time. So we get it. But it's very real. Ppl can see no arms, legs in a chair but can't see the mental scars. We was in a fire in apt building trapped and had to get out a 2nd story window with 2 small kids. They've been affected by it and bugs. It's very real. Now we question every package, person etc.

been dealing with bb for a few months now trying to figure out where I got them is driving me crazy, I figure either from a doctor waiting room or church, my church has bb dont know if I got it there or I brought it ti church. any way had a evterminator come they sprayed the affected areas bed, office, recliner the three areas I spend most of my time. the bedroom and office are bb free now the recliner still has issues after two treatments thinking about disassembling the chair and steaming every part of it then hitting it with crossfire

I got treated by an exterminator with Temprid on August 28th. He came back for a 2 week retreat on the 11th with crossfire. Things were fine until I woke up this morning with new bites and found a live bug in my bed frame. He says it was probably in a crack or crevice and just hasn’t died yet. With the crossfire residual supposedly killing within minutes and this bug crawling all over enough to feed on me, shouldn’t it be dead by now? I’ve gone through this whole process alone and I’m so exhausted. Between work, kids, regular housework and this added on top I’m at a loss. Exterminator says I shouldn’t need another treatment but if I do he will figure something out. Can I get your thoughts on this? He didn’t tell me what to expect between treatments or any instructions.

      @GreenAkersPC  4 года назад +10

A lot of customers complain about this to me, that the exterminator wasn’t very forthcoming with what to expect after treatment. I always recommend the customer to be patient over about a 4 week period of potential bites then to call back after that for follow up

Green Akers Pest Control LLC even though I found a live one today? Is it because these bites could’ve happened 2 weeks ago and are just now showing up?
