Fr Chris, excellent as Catholics we need catechism in the Holy Mass. For me the greatest understanding and spiritual enrichment came through learning of the meaning as traditionally intended for millennia, Which we all but lost! The mass is the greatest prayer! Its ends: adoration, Thanksgiving, reparation, petition. Our participation is key we make of ourselves a living sacrifice, with the priest, with Christ on the altar to God the Father, in union with blessed Mary ever virgin, blessed Michael the archangel (the Communion of Saints). The Holy Mass, the Eucharist is truly the source and summit of our faith🙏

You mention John 6. I like the way that this is read over 5 Sundays in Year B [weeks 17-21 in Ordinary Time]. Those of us who are lucky enough to be able to attend weekday Mass, also hear it on some of the weekdays in Eastertide.
