A great job of explaining how to setup the elite 2 controller. Even an old gamer like me could follow your steps with no problems. Thanks again you have a new subscriber
I may sound stupid, but I looked up other videos and most others explained you just needed to dock your remote on the charging pad to connect it to the pc. You're the first person that connected it directly to the control and it worked for me. Thanks!
I tried setting it up on my own without reading anything from the box and was having a rough time. This was really helpful, short and concise. Thank you so much
So much info packed into 7 min. Well done my guy. Thanks for the info, I just picked mine up and you did a great job going over everything - even the stuff I didn't know I wanted to know.
Incredible experience watching this video just open the box myself went from console gaming all my life to this pc world, thank you so much mike you just got a new sub
Mike! I was one of those guys you were talking about in the beginning of the video. I decided to stick it out and what do you know?? I learned something! I have had my Elite wireless controller for 2-3 years now and NEVER realized that tool in the lower center of the controller case was a tension tool for the joystick! I figured it was a pry tool for removing accessories for guys that have sausage fingers like myself lol. Learning this is going to help me control my cars in my race games so much better and I have you to thank! I am still figuring out how to wirelessly get my controller to work. So, back to the remainder of this video. Thanks Mike!
Dude! Everyone out there makes a "how to" video for this but explains absolutely nothing about how to set it up as if you just pulled it out of the box. Thank you very much!
This helped. I really like the setup & representation on the controller packaging. Never owned an Xbox but got this controller since it has better PC support then a PS Controller. The ps5 controller I bought did not even come with a USB C Cable. I was looking for the driver until you mentioned xbox accessory app in the MS Store. Thanks for the video. Not sure why anyone would dislike your video. It was on point
Nice job, man. A friend recommended this controller to me, and showed me your video. The combination of his recommendation and your video made me buy one. I got to say, your video helped a lot, because I had an issue where it tried and failed to install the xbox identity provider software repeatedly for about two hours. A quick viewing of this video, and one firmware update later, the identity provider app was no longer required and the device just worked as intended. I wish I'd just watched your video through properly first time around!
@@brycel.8291 I wasn't able to at first, either. I did a firmware update on the controller, which basically made it possible. I think MS changed something, which required the firmware update. Watch the video again. Also, plug in the controller dire t to your computer,a d try opening Microsoft store, and Microsoft companion apps. Turn the controller on and off a few times, and It will trigger the update.
Oh my god thank you!! I've been struggling with getting the Bluetooth to connect. I just needed to hold down the button longer. Guess I wasn't patient enough earlier when I was frustrated.
bruh, spot on. I have always detested controllers but then Elden Ring came out and is half-assed with a keyboard and mouse and this got me going quickly and efficiently, I tip my cap humbly to you.
Had to search for a video to find out how it's customized on the software side, because M$ ain't mentioning it anywhere on their product site... very sad. Thanks for explaining it in this video!
For those like me who bought just the pad second hand and don't want to watch 7mins and just want to P&P: go to windows Bluetooth > Add device > hold down little button on top of the pad until it starts flashing > synched.
I just built my first PC and my best friend gave me this as a bday gift a couple days ago I tried it out and couldn’t get it to work then found your video. THANK YOU SO MUCH SIR.
Ordered a Series X bundle at Microsoft's store and a Series 2 controller came in that bundle. The controller came first and still waiting on the Series X to arrive. So in the meantime I'm using it on my RoG laptop. Never owned an Xbox before until now. So thanks for telling me everything I needed to know bro. I'll just keep Steam gaming until it shows up.
Finally I figure out my issue connecting to bluetooth! I was kept trying the 3rd option (that references Xbox controllers) which was not working... but the first bluetooth option worked like a charm! Thanks!
Thank you so much. My [LB] button is broken on my controller and this video helped me to remap the [LB] button to one of the paddles instead. Again, Thank you.
This was very informative and helpful. Also, this is one of the best controllers ive ever used, except that i would have like RBG buttons for almost $200
Just picked up this controller for some PC gaming and firmware updates was one thing I was curious about. This covered what I needed it to. Thank You for putting this video together!
For the love of me I couldn't connect it over Bluetooth as I'd always opt for the option of "other" in the setting as the subheading read "Microsoft controllers". Who would've thought simply choosing Bluetooth devices would allow my laptop to recognize it 😅 Thanks! 👍
See, this video right here! Is what the internet was once all about (INFORMATION) It seem that "it" has lost it core, and this simple search took me more than 5 mins to find. Great video! You got me all the information and more than the actual "google search" itself. You have earned yourself a new sub.
I absolutely love my elite series 2. Bought it for my Xbox a year and a half ago and have recently built a PC, so I'm transferring over. I must point out, though, that the battery has a 24 hour lifespan, I believe. No need to plug it in for a firmware update if your controller is charged. No update will take 24 hours lol
Thinking of building a pc myself after 30fps starfield shocker. Series x seems obsolete already 😂 What kind of set-up did you go for? Cpu and gpu and what res? I was thinking a 1440p set-up for myself.
Your videos is pro . You explained everything professionally. Just last point I didn’t get it the way to pair . You didn’t show the bottom closer to cam 😐
Probably common sense but I'll ask anyway...when you connect the controller to the PC via cable, does it charge that way too? Also, what type of cable is it? USB-C or micro USB? Can reuse old stuff or am I better off getting all new cables? Great video!
A great job of explaining how to setup the elite 2 controller. Even an old gamer like me could follow your steps with no problems. Thanks again you have a new subscriber

@@MikeTheTech Do you know how to get rid of the input lag for pc Mike ?
