I sold these out of my bike shop for years. Overbuilt, strong and reliable. I like them over all the stupid expensive racks. Hollywood racks are SOLID.

Great review. You’ve convinced me to get one. It’s too bad they’re out of stock everywhere but should be available again in July. Now I just need to get a hitch installed on my minivan
Well done review. I think it's stellar that you've had it 4yrs and can comment on longevity. Love that you included the drive around. I've had one for about 5yrs and wasn't sure it would last but it's still holding up well. I totally agree it's so easy to remove the bikes... For instance, if I'm just rolling down the road to a local trail then I won't use the velcro straps, only the frame clamp. Other riders jaws hit the ground when I pull 3 bikes off in less than 1min. Also, literally today, I'm building the cargo carrier from Hollywood that mounts where the 2nd rack (for bikes #3 & #4) mount. This way I can carry two bikes and gear in the cargo carrier, freeing up more room in the SUV. Another tip if you buy this and you get a little creaking noticeable in the cab. I put 8 coats of plasti-dip on the shank that goes into the hitch receiver and that eliminated the minor creaking. Ride-on!
Thanks for video Seems the weak point for any teeter totter movement on this model would be the hinge pivot pins. (Where the arm folds down then spring pins lock in place) would you agree? Probably too large an area to put anti wobble devise and then lose ability to raise rack out of the way. Seeing some e-trailer videos looks like you tightened your bike rack better than theirs. HR1485 cargo attachment looks interesting too. Thanks again. Does the job 1/2 price.
I may or may not have put some muscle to the anti wobble handle haha. The tolerances on those pins and even the hinge itself are really tight. To the point where it can be a bit tough getting the pins through unless you have it lined up perfectly. The hinge itself is tight enough that it will stop partway on its own when you're lowering it. I think any movement I'm seeing is actually coming from the wheel trays twisting on the arm. Definitely a solid design though.
There's a little bit of sway when it's fully loaded with 4 bikes. Hard to avoid with that much leverage hanging far out from the hitch. Nothing I'm concerned about though
manuelgoree12 More than the gunk in the rear derailleur? kidding to the poster.. as this is SERIOUSLY appreciated.. likely getting one of these today to haul wife, kids, and my bike on my Runner. Thank you for posting.
It’s inexpensive because it’s heavy and doesn’t swing out of the way. The top of the line ones are significantly better but at least twice the price. Always a trade off.
Thank you for taking the time and the honest review. God bless you and family. Stay safe.

I was leaning towards a different style rack, but I think you swayed me to this. Great review
Mine is still holding up great
I just bought this model used for $200 on Facebook marketplace. 4 bikes carried for $200 is amazing.
That's a great deal 👍
I realize I am pretty randomly asking but does anybody know a good site to stream new tv shows online?
@Keenan Malcolm Flixportal :)
@Kaiser Jon thanks, I signed up and it seems like they got a lot of movies there :D Appreciate it !!
@Keenan Malcolm you are welcome xD
Another great feature of this rack is it is the ONLY rack I found that can accommodate a cargo bike or tandem

Nice to hear a similar opinion!
This has become a higher end bike rack coming in at over $400 for the 2 bike version. Word is definitely out on this rack
I have this rack as well, used it a ton. Zero issues, and its a great value. Under $200 for the 2 bike version.
Thanks for the valuable info here, I have a 2019 Prado and I’m not sure what rack I should go for!
Glad you liked it. This rack has been fantastic for me.
Great review, dude! Nicely done, and compelling case for this rack. Great job.
I appreciate the video. Good info. You mentioned the rust spots. Do you keep your rack mounted all the time or only when you Mount bikes to go riding?
I'll leave it on sometimes in the summer if I'm riding often but usually take it off and keep it in the garage
Great review, thanks. But this made me miss my 4 Runner. What year is yours?
Mine's a 2007
@@CanadianGearhead I had a 1993
Great review. Thanks. I have Thule 2 rack and it has same issue with flats. If I want to add two more bikes, it’s the same cost as this 4 bike rack 🤔
Great review- looking to get these from eTrailer- has there been any issues with the velcro straps wearing out since this review? thks
No issues with them, the rack has been holding up great
Great video; helpful info. Thanks for posting. Sweet 4Runner!

Canadian Gearhead - looks like it will do what I need it for. Thanks again
Just ordered one! Thanks man!
Why don't you show the loading of the more critical 2nd, 3rd, and 4th bikes?
Thanks for the review, very helpful👍
Can you open rear hatch with bike loaded?
Thanks! Great review and super helpful. Saved me $400.
Do you have any trouble with the rack scraping through the paint on your frames?
None at all. Although it's worth noting that the main bike I carry is anodized aluminum and I try to keep my bikes fairly clean
@@CanadianGearhead Thanks, I ordered one last night because of this review.
Awesome!
I have the same rack but for me I notice the rack bounces up and down when I drive and have bikes on it. Am I missing another pin to prevent that?
That's odd, sounds like something might be missing
calling the mounted police for hiding ur license plate
Great review.. thank you.. I’m gonna get one..!
Great Video Bro.... Thanks
Does the rack have a little play that wobbles from left to right?

Canadian Gearhead
Kool, thanks for the fast response ..
Frame contact is a deal breaker
Will it work good on a truck tailgate?
As long as you have a trailer hitch it'll work great
Could the tailgate drop open all the way with this on?
Would this hold a 3" tire?
Can't say for sure, but it would probably be tight. I'd ask them.
that backwards seat post clamp on the first bike is bothering me hahaha

This one swings out of the way
@@CanadianGearhead how?
It folds up- or down- where does it swing out so you can get in the hatch
I'd say just bring a cut length of a pool noodle to wrap around the bottom of the wheel in the case that you get a flat. Just an idea.
That would work too
Should never transport a carbon bike with a frame supported rack.
