Hearts of Iron IV is a grand strategy wargame developed by Paradox Development Studio and published by Paradox Interactive. Released on June 6, 2016, it is the sequel to Hearts of Iron III and part of the Hearts of Iron series of grand strategy games focusing on World War II. The player may take control of any nation in the world in either 1936 or 1939 and lead them to victory or defeat against other countries.

Also, you didn't really exploit the game here. You simply played well. I suppose the spamming of subs could be considered an exploit, but eh, if the AI actually contested you with it's navy, you'd take horrendous losses, so that's on them :)

This mountain range is from where the original name for balkans came from . Balkan was an ottoman word litterally meaning mountain. Before the ottomans came , balkans were called The peninsula of Aimos , from the mountain range of Aimos (its the oldest name of this range and geographical area ,timing since the ancient greek mythology)

So while this was great in the past this no longer works because of the changes to supply. Specifically your encirclement in the alps using the fall back then push forward on the outside. If you lose the supply hub in Turnin your not going to get that encirclement. I tried a few times and just couldn't make this strat work because of that specific fight. I resorted to para dropping while having Collab stacks on France to knock them out quickly then went forward with the strat.

Certainly a very entertaining run. It's not the quickest I think, but I guess you weren't really trying for that. Also, historically most of Britain was a Roman province, weird that you do not require it for Hoi4. My personal favorite Roman speedrun is rush austria, then UK, then mop up the rest. Because of the spanish civil war, the end of '38 is the fastest I managed it.

That Yugo encirclement reminded me of this time I was playing Austria-Hungary. I was at war with the Soviets over Bessarabia, and they were pushing me back. I decided to make a strategic retreat to Transylvania, and I concentrated my best forces in two northern provinces and held my air wings. When the Soviets came, I immediately began the attack and I spearheaded the quality infantry army all the way to the Black Sea, and I effectively encircled the entire Red Army. Two months and 3.5 Million dead Soviets later, I easily started pushing back into Soviet core territory and beat them over the course of a single year. I was then able to use my Soviet puppet to fund the air war with Germany, and I dominated Europe after that point. Best AH game ever!

I got it by taking out Netherlands first, going to war with Allies over Austria, knocking out France quick with an invasion from Netherlands, and doing that trick where I surround London while I attack the rest of the required territory. Didn't need to capitulate them, just land some troops in Portugal and Turkey and fight Spain a bit. Just had to eat Iraq after that. Formed it before Hitler ate Poland.
