Those LONG-winded runs of hers are AMAZING, right? OMG! When I first saw this video of her, I teared up. It's not a sad song, it's just very emotionally charged. SO BEAUTIFULLY DONE!
it's actually harder to sing sitting down than standing up. i don't know; maybe because you can't extend (or expand?) the diaphragm as much as when you're standing up and that's important when singing because it helps with your breathing and being able to support and add fluidity to the notes of a song. we think that when someone's sitting down while singing that it's easier for them because they look more relaxed than when standing up but standing up actually gives you more "leverage" (sorry, i'm not a native English speaker so i'm not sure if i'm using the right words here) so that it helps you hit the (high) notes better and hit them right. i think we've seen it with more popular singers when they're belting very high notes and doing melismas like Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, etc.. if you get what i mean. but yeah, she IS amazing. my mind is blown.

The thing about Morissette is she has a great voice and tone, her technical aspects are first rate and she will have a great career. The only problem is there are many singers out there that are her equal to her sound, even Angellica Hale @10 years old is almost exactly the same and those qualities that everyone strives to achieve & accomplish are not unique. The true superstars are the ones that have totally unique sound and draw people into the music like Stevie Nicks, Janis Joplin, Grace Vanderwaal, etc. I wish Morissette Amon great success.

Just to share something, I can also do the high notes that Morisette showed us here. I'm her kababayan here in the Philippines and we're really proud of her. She keep inspiring people who always wanted to expose their confidence in singing. I'm really happy yet so proud of all the filipino's who have this kind of talent. Do not say that your country does not have talented people, ok? Just always remember that some person might better than someone but it doesn't mean that they're not good. Dear Petra, Morissette started from very young age obviously and apparently must have been surrounded by musicians , perhaps her family ,but I also heard from another fan she did some opera in the past , classic music and as we all know if you start from there ...you can go anywhere and do anything ! This gorgeous princess is a real artist and she can literally "move mountains" with her voice ! To sing like that you must have the basis which is the talent itself and build on it ! She had the time to do so because she started very young , just like Charice , just like Marcelito Pomoy ! Gotta say love your reactions , you are a very sweet person and you spend your free time doing pretty much what I am doing too , listening to music and quality music to be exact !
