I blamed the fact that the kit is quite old and also, I blamed the Tamiya MarkFit Strong decal solution...I can't explain what the problem was...they simply cracked after drying or they broke during application :)
Hey! Thank you for your comment! Before painting I go with 1200 grit. Spray primer - gray (Mr. Hobby 1500) sanding with 2000 grit paper. Spray color - 3 - 5 layers, leave it 1 day for drying Spray varnish and after 3 days I use - 2000 - 2500 grit sanding paper (WITH WATER) and after that 3000 grit sponge. Then finish with Meguiar's compound and wax. Hope that helps :)
flawless like always! 🥂 where the hell did you find this kit? I know it's discontinued for many years. It looks stunning. Corolla Castrol, Supra Castrol, great match 👍🏻 well done, congratulations for your result, it surely payed the effort of applying decals onto the body
Thank you, my friend :) Well, I was lucky with this kit. I found it sitting alone in a hobby store (that type of store that also has electric toy cars) for a reasonable price - $30. Decals were a nightmare. They break apart after being applied to the body kit. And when I try to mask the body for painting window frames, some of them come off :))) I think they are ancient. Overall, this kit is Tamiya-style with lots of details.
Nice work!
Thank you!
Try to do my best each time :)
respect great work 👌🏻
Hey!

@@SmallScaleFun thank you for warning i have the same kit to build 😥

@@SmallScaleFun Why you don't apply the varnish first with the decals and then paint the window trim?
@@galfigolf1 I don't remember exactly but I paint like you said. Here, decals were old and decomposed in contact with water
