Michael Mann had great taste and featured their music a few times on a little show called Miami Vice. This is how I found out about them and I had to record the episode on VHS and scrub the credits to find who they were. I still have Oil and Gold and Big Night Music on vinyl from when I was a kid.
I first heard them in Manhunter. Three Shriekback songs were used. They were Evaporation, This Big Hush, and Coelecanth. Faded Flowers was also featured in Band of the Hand, which Mann produced. I'm so happy to have discovered this band.

McEwan ballroom , Calgary, 1987ish? People said my band opened for them, but it was Hunters and Collectors. Awesome anyway.
