[Creator code is active as of 08/26/24 - vashcowaii#6354] EDIT: Just had a long talk with some peeps about how we were calculating the lepic numbers bc they were adamant I had it wrong, and I'll admit I did goof on one part of the calc, but it turns out everyone had some stuff wrong on the math so I'm glad they reached out and we had the talk we did. WHAT IS THE RESULT, THEN? - The only difference to be had is one slot, and it will more or less boil down to your situational preferences. In terms of initial burst and getting the boss broken/kneeling faster, the build we roll with in the video is better, but in terms of end total dmg if you aren't having any issues breaking them, running with tech spec over spear and shield does win with more continuous dmg(not dot, I'm not talking about overclock). Duration is still just as strong as we said it was, nothing was incorrect there, everything else is still correct as well, but if you want more overall dmg you would slot a power modifier in that slot. The other obvious consideration for your preferences is whether you want more EHP, in which case spear and shield is still a solid slot and there's nothing wrong with that. IF you do roll with a power modifier instead, I advice tech specialist, not max power. The cooldown is pretty harsh on max power, if you decide you need cooldown later using tech spec would allow you to switch to focus on tech for more cooldown with a nonexistent loss in power mod. Three things~ 1) The calculator used, though updated as the prior one had an issue with it cowaii.io/TFD/Calculator/ 2) I applied last week when I knew I wanted to make this vid, and I haven't been approved yet, but if I do then my nexon creator coded would be vashcowaii#6354 and if approved and you are signed up as a supporter under me, I get like 2% of your in game purchases. I'm so glad you're making content for this game. I rage quit the game after copying multiple builds and them all being trash, and feeling like I'm just in a bad gambling addiction.

Firearm Master does very little for the build. I left the slot empty, which in turn allows me to have a flexible, un catalysed slot for the Fire Specialist/Increased HP variant that Vash explains (tankier, better cooldowns for when I go with friends) or the Tech Specialist/Maximize Skill variant, pure damage, where I don't care about HP or CD and just one phase the bosses (usually for solo).
6:29 THANK YOU. I can't count how many times I've had to explain this to people. There's no other way in the game to get Tech Skill Power than from your reactor, so that roll will be the most impactful
Thank god you are here to fix the popular builds in this game. Especially in this game where testing builds is costly in terms of grinding mats. You have saved me soooooo much time.

Finally, someone who built this guy correctly. I've been watching less build videos cause no one, including myself for a bit, was going for big PP damage. I re catalyzed to this build a couple weeks ago.
Great video, excellent character build, everything explained beautifully. @VashCowaii I just wanted to let you know that someone copied your video and uploaded it with very minor changes as their own work on RUclips (they just omitted the curses). The channel in question is EatMyDustTV, which is a Polish-language channel. Film is called The First Descendant || Ultimate Lepic Build || Boss Killer Lvl Hard || 16+ Kulek na Z || Poradnik. There are some differences, but as I mentioned earlier, they are trivial. Specifically, the mods are rearranged in the first 4 slots, but the rest, including the explanation of why they "chose" those mods instead of others, match yours almost 100%. Also, instead of the weapon you use, "Wave of Light," they used "Perforator." Why choose a weapon for that ammunition? Once again, they talked about the exact same things as you. Unfortunately, it doesn't end there; the same situation applies to components and explanations of why these and not others, even regarding the reactor. I understand that someone can be inspired by another's work, and I don't think there's anything wrong with that, as long as there is some mention that it's not their time and hours spent on calculations and creating the film itself, and how to present the topic. If by any chance the aforementioned channel has contacted you about translating your video to YT and uploading it as their own, please ignore my message. Ah, finally someone tells me why tf my lepic can't seem to launch more than 15 or 16 shots, and it's because my dumb ass actually got the build right, but shot the barn doors on the components, thinking MP modifier and MP recovery in combat didn't really matter all that much. Thankfully, I do a bunch of devourers and pyromaniacs for catalyst blueprints and activators, so I'm hoping I kept some of those with good rolls. Chances are high, since I'm a hoarder by nature. For anyone who hasn't fully invested in lepic yet. With any of these builds. If your crits are unlucky, your gonna have alot of bosses going frenzy before your ultimate is even over. Pyro is still relatively consistent. Swamp walker is about 50/50 some days less. For solo farming I still perfer crit rate/dmg to colossus.

Note that you literally can't replicate this build without near-god rolls on the comps. So don't expect to ace Pyro every time while you're farming him for the next several years (if you have shit luck like me).
@@awesomeclipsofawesomestuff4078 You are able to get the advertised 18 shots? All hitting the enemy? If I shoot at nothing in the lab to get unlimited MP, I only get 17 shots. Only if I equip either a reactor with Skill Duration UP or Battle of Stamina can I get 18 shots. There isn't enough MP for 18 shots though if all shots connect with an enemy, unless you stand reaaaaally far away to get mp recovery out of combat for multiple shots before the first one hits the enemy. Is it working for you? I have god rolls on components and everything.

I have a glass cannon build and I promise you I'll do more dps then almost anyone else lol 😅 glass cannon isn't the issue it's people not knowing how to move when being attacked or leaving themselves open for attacks or in some cases Noone reviving the person that dies... there's a yujin for a reason bud lol 😅
I farmed for a crit dmg and colossus reactor for ages and I ended up picking up at a gold tech boost ratio & damage against colossus. A HUGE thanks to you for doing all this work. It's super appreciated.
Thanks for fixing my lepic... Lets just say i used the "OTHER" glass cannon version of this build floating around and i found it was less than perfect, if i went passed the first blitz of my special and the boss survived the initial blitz there was no survivability and i would be f*cked getting downed once every minute..... i have been studying my build trying to figure out what 2 mods i can take off without harming my damage/build and i couldn't figure it out but with your video you answered my question and it makes sence to change what i need to change so i can still be a power house well gaining survivability without losing noticeable power, i really appreciate this video thanks man.
You can't make 18 shot with this build, that's a lie, and here 4:39 look at the MP meter, You just shoting at the ground and the game still consider you "Out of Combat" so you recover MP, You didn't mention this important detail and its kinda misleading, The question is: Can You make 18 shots in combat and by shooting at the boss directly with this build?, The answer is NO.
I can understand where you're misunderstanding because I never mentioned it: I have a habit of manually deactivating the ult when I know I'm done shooting, and then roll canceling the end animation that results from me manually cancelling it. I do this because in the beginning of my lepic use, I didn't get 1phase kills until I tweaked the build later, and because of that I needed to wait for a cooldown. Doing what I do, lets you get to the cooldown faster, because the cooldown won't start until you actually finish the end animation and just like the start animation it lasts forever. If you pay attention to the other other fights, you'll see me get more shots in while landing every shot. Apologies for the confusion, I understand how it may have appeared to look wrong there.
It is an 18 shots build, but you need to have some gold MP rolls on your components, green Sharp Precision Shot and perhaps some skill duration % on your reactor. Tested it and my Memory has 1 MP less then his.
@@harkon6569 You can get 18 shots all directly hitting an enemy? I have gold rolls on everything. 3 less max mp, higher MP recovery out of and in combat, but 18 connecting shots are not possible for me. There is enough skill duration, but not enough MP (unless you fire from the end of the map-ish).
Waited so long for you to come and break this game. The modifier is for the tic Dmg that has low modifier. I totally agree Le pic need survivability and CD.
Used to watch your remnant 2 videos back when I played, glad to see you making videos for this game. I don't even like lepic but will level him up for this now.
This solves one of my issues I had with many of the other builds. Lack of survival. I think too many focus on single player boss fights where you are a one shot pony and choose death to go again if needed. Not at all how I want to play. I'm still trying to farm a good slayer set. But I just keep getting garbage or near hits with bad rolls. I have a top notch yellow set that I use. It is hard to accept dropping to blue rolls from yellow.
Pls read before investing into this build. The "18" shots he disclaimed is 3 shots to the ground when boss is doing spawn animation and 15 direct shots. That means you lost around 1.2-2 mil damage per shot when you calculating maximum output damage when compares to other build like Maximize Power. This is not even consider the lingering fire aura from your ult and burn damage from your 2nd skill which significantly drop down to 42.7% and 114.6% respectively when using 2nd skill compare to Maximize Power which is 139.9% and 211.8%. Another con is that shooting the ground before boss finish animation means you are the first to deal damage in co-op group which deny your 24.9% skill power from Dangerous Ambush since boss will always target the first person to deal damage.
I manually ended the skill on a lot of the fights out of habit back when I didn't one phase bosses, to get to the cooldown faster. If you pay attention to other fights where I don't shoot the ground first, like say swamp walker, I'm not missing any shots. I shoot early on bosses where I know I can afford to in order to speed up the sharp precision windup preemptively, but it's not a requirement in order to reach it. And read the pinned comment
@@VashCowaii the Swamp Walker clip on the left is 1 shot to the ground and 17 shots direct hit and the right is also 17 shots direct hit so it's still not "18" shots direct.
@@VashCowaii Also have you consider the DoT of burn damage and fire aura in your calculation with your build compare to Maximize Skill build? I recognize it's a lot of dps lost with this build since the ult aura last for ~10s and even with duration up boss might walk out of aura radius and that's just 0 dps overboard. Also howthe 24.9% skill power fron Dangerous Ambush that is lost effects your overall dps during multiplay?
@@VashCowaii The reason people use Maximize Power insteat of Tech Spec is that you only focus on 1 cycle of your ult in solo so CD meant nothing since the boss died before your ult end anyway. And in multiplay you can jump off cliff or let the boss kill you and respawn to reset all CD that is if your team can effeord 1 less respawn which in my experience is really worth it for 1 more immediate ult.
@@VashCowaii Don't get me wrong I am not claiming that your build is bad. It's actually really strong in the solo play and if you master the timing of each boss animation to line up you first shot precisely but to claim others people build bad using just calculation without considering the consistency such as you miss your first shot when the boss move or the DoT damage and being smugabout it is really cringe and does not improve the game community in anyways. Also people have use Spear and Shield since the edge of time but just level 1 in a non-r instead of maximize power just for the 8.1% Skill Power benefit and not waste Catalyst for 1 module and be flexible in their build.

Thanks for the video. I tried to argue with some other community of lepics saying that maximize duration is the better mod over MP accel. They responded with insults and flaming, but it's just simple math, if you lower your individual shot damage by a percent and you gain more shots out of it, you're doing more way damage. When i tested with MP accel, my lepic in colossus couldn't even do 13 shots. It was 12 at most and most cases 11. So I just started using Max duration and that gave me a consistent 16 shots. However, my components are better than yours, with the same rolls, just gold. I can't seem to get 18 shots no matter how I try. In fact, when I swap out strong mentality for spear and shield, and I lose 3 shots. You mention in your video that the MP recovery in combat and max MP on your sensor should help make up for it if you're not being hit, but that doesn't seem to be the case for me. I think it might be because I'm solo, and for the most part avoiding getting hit by the boss solo is a bit difficult. The shot count is identical only in the case where you're not the target, i.e. running with others. I think the toss up for strong mentality vs spear and shield comes down to if you're solo or not. If you're solo, you kind of have to expect to get hit, and the punishment for being shot is losing 3 shots. While if you have strong mentality, you can take hits and still maintain your shot count. Maybe i'm just doing something wrong, any advice would be welcome. Thanks for this excellent video, I hope you do more TFD videos in the future, subscribed!
I'm having the same issue. I get 16 shots and run out of mana. With strong mentality I get 17 shots and run out of duration. When I additionally add a reactor with skill duration up, I get 18 shots (Video has a reactor with skill duration up). Not sure how we are supposed to get 18 with the presented mod build. You can also see that at 4:36 in the showcase, he is shooting the floor before the boss becomes vulnerable, making him recover MP after every shot. At 5:15 he's "only" shooting 17 shots in both recordings. So it seems like you have the duration for 18 shots (with reactor), but not the mana. Edit: I figured out an issue. I was testing in the lab and standing too close to the enemy, meaning I'm missing out on just enough MP rec. out of combat to get enough for another shot. If I use the same spot as in the video for swamp walker, I can get same amount of shots as in the video (17), but not consistently. I only ever counted 18 shots in the pyro showcase at 4:39, but you can see that the first shot(s) (1 on left, 2 on right) don't connect, meaning MP is being recovered out of combat.

Just need the update to come out so I can fix two of my module slots. Have 392 MP with purple MP component stats you mentioned so I hope that'll be good enough until I can get some Gold ones. I have the exact build while using slayer set and destroy solo bosses at times , unless they rage before killing them. i haven’t tried playing with a team yet so I will keep whoever reads this posted on my results.
I built the full glass cannon Lepic boss build and after like a week I realized how dumb it was. I ended up putting another hp mod in so two total and now I have like 14k hp and still do 95% of the damage of the original build. Its so nice bc a lot of the time people expect me to be the weak link and ill end up being the only one alive left.
I have stumbling around in the youtube dark trying to figure lepic out. I appreciate you EXPLAINING and not being click baity on this. This has made things very clear, I am less annoyed now. Thanks.
It's still click bait? The builds he's shitting on are solo boss builds meaning not meant for team play lol also learn to dodge and you won't be on the floor so much
FINALLY, Someone who EXPLAINS why he is using each piece and tells you the pros & cons. RATHER than saying my build is the best then posts a new one hours later saying IMPROVED by 1sec or 1mil dmg. Working on my Lepic now, was looking at a similar setup but will swap to a couple of yours and see how much it improves.

Thank GOD. Someone else that understands that Skill Power Modifier is next to worthless with skills that have a high base skill power. There is a tiny bit of merit if one was trying to go for the Burn aspect from the ult but not much in comparison to building for the ult itself.
Finally somebody that understands skill power modifier. It drives me nuts when people say "you can't do this because you lose skill power modifier". Yes i can. 30 out of 3000 is meaningless. I got a skill crit dmg reactor so i swapped out spear and shield with max conservation (17 shots) and then, if i want an 18th shot, hp with battle of stamina

Please make more videos for The First Descendant please! Most of the other ones I've watched definitely are all copy and paste versions of the same over and over again and your totally right on them being 20 minutes for no reason at all! They are pretty much a joke!
So, I've been scratching my head on why I can only do 15-16 shots. For anyone else trying this build, like some people have already mentioned, you NEED Skill Duration Up AND near perfect (purple or gold) rolls on your required stats to reliably get 18 shots. I have: Tech Boost Colossus Atk 2.099 MP Recovery Out (purple) 0.217 MP Recovey In (blue) 155 Max MP (gold) And I can only get 16 shots in, squeezing the last few MP I got. This build is NOT BAD by any means, I still get 16 shots in. Just be aware that if you don't min max your reactor and components, you will only get 15-16 shots on average, instead of 18.
@@VashCowaii I did. And I don't think it changes anything. With the required stats roll I currently got, with or without BoS, I can only get 16 shots either because I either ran out of MP or ran out of duration. I can't really tell because my MP bar ran out at around the same time my ult ran out. I've also tried shooting Swamp Walker from your position in the video and still only 16 shots, sometimes 17. I really don't know why other than needing Skill Duration Up and a purple or maybe even gold rolls for the required components. And yes, I did the roll canceling for this. Then again, it's only 2 shots less anyway. I don't really want to farm a skill duration up reactor when I already have a reactor with gold tech boost and purple colossus atk substat.
@@regex2660 I went on a Pyro killing spree to find the combination to this as well. Not running Duration UP on Reactors with Impact SPS, I can only get 15 shots consistently. That is with 445 Mana (purple comp) and gold MP recovery out of combat. Looking at the 4 duration and my MP, the MP runs out first... or not necessarily run out but I have a little but not enough (assuming) for another shot. Based on those fights as well, running BoS will give you enough up time for 17 shots w/o a Skill Duration Up Reactor. I had to rewatch this video again to check and confirm that he DID have Skill Duration Up reactor for the clips of 18 shots. :( Edit: other words, I believe you.
They way I got my build (optimized, not best in slot) is Lepic is currently an infinite artillery tank cannon. Unless forced to, I can keep my ultimate up for as long as I want. Only downsides being mp recharge; no mana means no cannon. MP rover modifier + mp recovery out of combat + 20 seconds = 7-9 shots. To be fair, still building and just optimized, nit best in slot. My current reactor ultimate is the final masterpiece if that gives you an idea of how low level my lepic is. In the lab I can get 110k crit; not sure about a colossus just yet, too busy trying to end that fight in a win to pay attention to those numbers

Looks really good. Im really beating myself in the head on why I didn’t built Lepic at all. Im playing with Ults Bunny, Gley, Viessa and Valby. But i needed a Lepic all along. Don’t have the Ult. but i think it would not matter that much
firearms master gives you increase skill power when changing weapons so this increases his skill power when changing from gun to ultimate which counts as a weapon change.

Ive missed your toxicity and math shenanigans, definitely going to be changing a couple mods on my lepic. If i could make a request, my girlfriend is building enzo with firearm enhancer and i have ult gley cooking and halfway building yujin, would love to see what you could cook up for ult gley and yujin though im sure ult gley would be alot more complicated to optimize. Firearm Master does very little for the build. I left the slot empty, which in turn allows me to have a flexible, un catalysed slot for the Fire Specialist/Increased HP variant that Vash explains (tankier, better cooldowns for when I go with friends) or the Tech Specialist/Maximize Skill variant, pure damage, where I don't care about HP or CD and just one phase the bosses (usually for solo).
If it's base lepic I wouldn't invest in him and would farm for ultimate lepic

Finally, someone who built this guy correctly. I've been watching less build videos cause no one, including myself for a bit, was going for big PP damage. I re catalyzed to this build a couple weeks ago.
Great video, excellent character build, everything explained beautifully. @VashCowaii I just wanted to let you know that someone copied your video and uploaded it with very minor changes as their own work on RUclips (they just omitted the curses). The channel in question is EatMyDustTV, which is a Polish-language channel. Film is called The First Descendant || Ultimate Lepic Build || Boss Killer Lvl Hard || 16+ Kulek na Z || Poradnik. There are some differences, but as I mentioned earlier, they are trivial. Specifically, the mods are rearranged in the first 4 slots, but the rest, including the explanation of why they "chose" those mods instead of others, match yours almost 100%. Also, instead of the weapon you use, "Wave of Light," they used "Perforator." Why choose a weapon for that ammunition? Once again, they talked about the exact same things as you. Unfortunately, it doesn't end there; the same situation applies to components and explanations of why these and not others, even regarding the reactor. I understand that someone can be inspired by another's work, and I don't think there's anything wrong with that, as long as there is some mention that it's not their time and hours spent on calculations and creating the film itself, and how to present the topic. Ah, finally someone tells me why tf my lepic can't seem to launch more than 15 or 16 shots, and it's because my dumb ass actually got the build right, but shot the barn doors on the components, thinking MP modifier and MP recovery in combat didn't really matter all that much.
Thankfully, I do a bunch of devourers and pyromaniacs for catalyst blueprints and activators, so I'm hoping I kept some of those with good rolls. Chances are high, since I'm a hoarder by nature. Thanks for letting me know, very helpful, take a like 😂

For anyone who hasn't fully invested in lepic yet. With any of these builds. If your crits are unlucky, your gonna have alot of bosses going frenzy before your ultimate is even over. Pyro is still relatively consistent. Swamp walker is about 50/50 some days less. For solo farming I still perfer crit rate/dmg to colossus.

Note that you literally can't replicate this build without near-god rolls on the comps. So don't expect to ace Pyro every time while you're farming him for the next several years (if you have shit luck like me).

@@awesomeclipsofawesomestuff4078 You are able to get the advertised 18 shots? All hitting the enemy? If I shoot at nothing in the lab to get unlimited MP, I only get 17 shots. Only if I equip either a reactor with Skill Duration UP or Battle of Stamina can I get 18 shots. There isn't enough MP for 18 shots though if all shots connect with an enemy, unless you stand reaaaaally far away to get mp recovery out of combat for multiple shots before the first one hits the enemy.
Is it working for you? I have god rolls on components and everything.

I farmed for a crit dmg and colossus reactor for ages and I ended up picking up at a gold tech boost ratio & damage against colossus. A HUGE thanks to you for doing all this work. It's super appreciated.
Thanks for fixing my lepic... Lets just say i used the "OTHER" glass cannon version of this build floating around and i found it was less than perfect, if i went passed the first blitz of my special and the boss survived the initial blitz there was no survivability and i would be f*cked getting downed once every minute..... i have been studying my build trying to figure out what 2 mods i can take off without harming my damage/build and i couldn't figure it out but with your video you answered my question and it makes sence to change what i need to change so i can still be a power house well gaining survivability without losing noticeable power, i really appreciate this video thanks man.

You can't make 18 shot with this build, that's a lie, and here 4:39 look at the MP meter, You just shoting at the ground and the game still consider you "Out of Combat" so you recover MP, You didn't mention this important detail and its kinda misleading, The question is: Can You make 18 shots in combat and by shooting at the boss directly with this build?, The answer is NO.
I can understand where you're misunderstanding because I never mentioned it: I have a habit of manually deactivating the ult when I know I'm done shooting, and then roll canceling the end animation that results from me manually cancelling it. I do this because in the beginning of my lepic use, I didn't get 1phase kills until I tweaked the build later, and because of that I needed to wait for a cooldown. Doing what I do, lets you get to the cooldown faster, because the cooldown won't start until you actually finish the end animation and just like the start animation it lasts forever. If you pay attention to the other other fights, you'll see me get more shots in while landing every shot.

It is an 18 shots build, but you need to have some gold MP rolls on your components, green Sharp Precision Shot and perhaps some skill duration % on your reactor. Tested it and my Memory has 1 MP less then his.
You can also get 18 shots using maximize conservation instead of spear and shield. But you lose a little bit of dmg (not much) and def
@@harkon6569 You can get 18 shots all directly hitting an enemy? I have gold rolls on everything. 3 less max mp, higher MP recovery out of and in combat, but 18 connecting shots are not possible for me. There is enough skill duration, but not enough MP (unless you fire from the end of the map-ish).

The modifier is for the tic Dmg that has low modifier. I totally agree Le pic need survivability and CD.
Used to watch your remnant 2 videos back when I played, glad to see you making videos for this game. I don't even like lepic but will level him up for this now.
This solves one of my issues I had with many of the other builds. Lack of survival. I think too many focus on single player boss fights where you are a one shot pony and choose death to go again if needed. Not at all how I want to play. I'm still trying to farm a good slayer set. But I just keep getting garbage or near hits with bad rolls. I have a top notch yellow set that I use. It is hard to accept dropping to blue rolls from yellow.

Pls read before investing into this build. The "18" shots he disclaimed is 3 shots to the ground when boss is doing spawn animation and 15 direct shots. That means you lost around 1.2-2 mil damage per shot when you calculating maximum output damage when compares to other build like Maximize Power. This is not even consider the lingering fire aura from your ult and burn damage from your 2nd skill which significantly drop down to 42.7% and 114.6% respectively when using 2nd skill compare to Maximize Power which is 139.9% and 211.8%. Another con is that shooting the ground before boss finish animation means you are the first to deal damage in co-op group which deny your 24.9% skill power from Dangerous Ambush since boss will always target the first person to deal damage.
I manually ended the skill on a lot of the fights out of habit back when I didn't one phase bosses, to get to the cooldown faster. If you pay attention to other fights where I don't shoot the ground first, like say swamp walker, I'm not missing any shots. I shoot early on bosses where I know I can afford to in order to speed up the sharp precision windup preemptively, but it's not a requirement in order to reach it.

@@VashCowaii Also have you consider the DoT of burn damage and fire aura in your calculation with your build compare to Maximize Skill build? I recognize it's a lot of dps lost with this build since the ult aura last for ~10s and even with duration up boss might walk out of aura radius and that's just 0 dps overboard. Also howthe 24.9% skill power fron Dangerous Ambush that is lost effects your overall dps during multiplay?
@@VashCowaii The reason people use Maximize Power insteat of Tech Spec is that you only focus on 1 cycle of your ult in solo so CD meant nothing since the boss died before your ult end anyway. And in multiplay you can jump off cliff or let the boss kill you and respawn to reset all CD that is if your team can effeord 1 less respawn which in my experience is really worth it for 1 more immediate ult.
@@VashCowaii Don't get me wrong I am not claiming that your build is bad. It's actually really strong in the solo play and if you master the timing of each boss animation to line up you first shot precisely but to claim others people build bad using just calculation without considering the consistency such as you miss your first shot when the boss move or the DoT damage and being smugabout it is really cringe and does not improve the game community in anyways. Also people have use Spear and Shield since the edge of time but just level 1 in a non-r instead of maximize power just for the 8.1% Skill Power benefit and not waste Catalyst for 1 module and be flexible in their build.

Thanks for the video. I tried to argue with some other community of lepics saying that maximize duration is the better mod over MP accel. They responded with insults and flaming, but it's just simple math, if you lower your individual shot damage by a percent and you gain more shots out of it, you're doing more way damage. When i tested with MP accel, my lepic in colossus couldn't even do 13 shots. It was 12 at most and most cases 11. So I just started using Max duration and that gave me a consistent 16 shots.
However, my components are better than yours, with the same rolls, just gold. I can't seem to get 18 shots no matter how I try. In fact, when I swap out strong mentality for spear and shield, and I lose 3 shots. You mention in your video that the MP recovery in combat and max MP on your sensor should help make up for it if you're not being hit, but that doesn't seem to be the case for me. I think it might be because I'm solo, and for the most part avoiding getting hit by the boss solo is a bit difficult. The shot count is identical only in the case where you're not the target, i.e. running with others.
I think the toss up for strong mentality vs spear and shield comes down to if you're solo or not. If you're solo, you kind of have to expect to get hit, and the punishment for being shot is losing 3 shots. While if you have strong mentality, you can take hits and still maintain your shot count. Maybe i'm just doing something wrong, any advice would be welcome.

I'm having the same issue. I get 16 shots and run out of mana. With strong mentality I get 17 shots and run out of duration. When I additionally add a reactor with skill duration up, I get 18 shots (Video has a reactor with skill duration up). Not sure how we are supposed to get 18 with the presented mod build. You can also see that at 4:36 in the showcase, he is shooting the floor before the boss becomes vulnerable, making him recover MP after every shot. At 5:15 he's "only" shooting 17 shots in both recordings.
So it seems like you have the duration for 18 shots (with reactor), but not the mana.
Edit: I figured out an issue. I was testing in the lab and standing too close to the enemy, meaning I'm missing out on just enough MP rec. out of combat to get enough for another shot. If I use the same spot as in the video for swamp walker, I can get same amount of shots as in the video (17), but not consistently. I only ever counted 18 shots in the pyro showcase at 4:39, but you can see that the first shot(s) (1 on left, 2 on right) don't connect, meaning MP is being recovered out of combat.
You have no idea how fast I clicked on this video when I saw you made a TFD video! Your Remnant builds were God Tier so I'm so excited for you to be doing content in this game! Just need the update to come out so I can fix two of my module slots. Have 392 MP with purple MP component stats you mentioned so I hope that'll be good enough until I can get some Gold ones.

I have the exact build while using slayer set and destroy solo bosses at times , unless they rage before killing them. i haven’t tried playing with a team yet so I will keep whoever reads this posted on my results.

I built the full glass cannon Lepic boss build and after like a week I realized how dumb it was. I ended up putting another hp mod in so two total and now I have like 14k hp and still do 95% of the damage of the original build. Its so nice bc a lot of the time people expect me to be the weak link and ill end up being the only one alive left.
I have stumbling around in the youtube dark trying to figure lepic out. I appreciate you EXPLAINING and not being click baity on this.

FINALLY, Someone who EXPLAINS why he is using each piece and tells you the pros & cons. RATHER than saying my build is the best then posts a new one hours later saying IMPROVED by 1sec or 1mil dmg. Working on my Lepic now, was looking at a similar setup but will swap to a couple of yours and see how much it improves.

There is a tiny bit of merit if one was trying to go for the Burn aspect from the ult but not much in comparison to building for the ult itself.

Please make more videos for The First Descendant please! Most of the other ones I've watched definitely are all copy and paste versions of the same over and over again and your totally right on them being 20 minutes for no reason at all! They are pretty much a joke!
So, I've been scratching my head on why I can only do 15-16 shots. For anyone else trying this build, like some people have already mentioned, you NEED Skill Duration Up AND near perfect (purple or gold) rolls on your required stats to reliably get 18 shots.
I have:
Tech Boost
Colossus Atk
2.099 MP Recovery Out (purple)
0.217 MP Recovey In (blue)
155 Max MP (gold)
And I can only get 16 shots in, squeezing the last few MP I got.
This build is NOT BAD by any means, I still get 16 shots in. Just be aware that if you don't min max your reactor and components, you will only get 15-16 shots on average, instead of 18.

@@VashCowaii I did. And I don't think it changes anything. With the required stats roll I currently got, with or without BoS, I can only get 16 shots either because I either ran out of MP or ran out of duration. I can't really tell because my MP bar ran out at around the same time my ult ran out. I've also tried shooting Swamp Walker from your position in the video and still only 16 shots, sometimes 17. I really don't know why other than needing Skill Duration Up and a purple or maybe even gold rolls for the required components. And yes, I did the roll canceling for this.
Then again, it's only 2 shots less anyway. I don't really want to farm a skill duration up reactor when I already have a reactor with gold tech boost and purple colossus atk substat.

@@regex2660 I went on a Pyro killing spree to find the combination to this as well. Not running Duration UP on Reactors with Impact SPS, I can only get 15 shots consistently. That is with 445 Mana (purple comp) and gold MP recovery out of combat. Looking at the 4 duration and my MP, the MP runs out first... or not necessarily run out but I have a little but not enough (assuming) for another shot.
Based on those fights as well, running BoS will give you enough up time for 17 shots w/o a Skill Duration Up Reactor.
I had to rewatch this video again to check and confirm that he DID have Skill Duration Up reactor for the clips of 18 shots. :(

They way I got my build (optimized, not best in slot) is Lepic is currently an infinite artillery tank cannon. Unless forced to, I can keep my ultimate up for as long as I want. Only downsides being mp recharge; no mana means no cannon. MP rover modifier + mp recovery out of combat + 20 seconds = 7-9 shots. To be fair, still building and just optimized, nit best in slot. My current reactor ultimate is the final masterpiece if that gives you an idea of how low level my lepic is. In the lab I can get 110k crit; not sure about a colossus just yet, too busy trying to end that fight in a win to pay attention to those numbers

I was farming for the, _"Firearm Master"_ module only to find out that works for Ultimate Lepic.
Not regular Lepic.
Basic Lepic can't equip, _"Firearm Master"_

Im playing with Ults Bunny, Gley, Viessa and Valby.
But i needed a Lepic all along.
Don’t have the Ult. but i think it would not matter that much
firearms master gives you increase skill power when changing weapons so this increases his skill power when changing from gun to ultimate which counts as a weapon change.

Thanks for this build cos I've left my Ult Lepic unbuilt thinking glass cannon was the only build out there.. And I'm too lazy to come up with my own builds.. 😂
Excellent video, I was already using something similar as I hated the full glass cannon builds.

Lets fucking go! So glad you are on TFD , been checking in since you made my remnant apocalypse run a cakewalk with your tanking vids. Ive missed your toxicity and math shenanigans, definitely going to be changing a couple mods on my lepic. If i could make a request, my girlfriend is building enzo with firearm enhancer and i have ult gley cooking and halfway building yujin, would love to see what you could cook up for ult gley and yujin though im sure ult gley would be alot more complicated to optimize. Either way ill be checking in
