UPDATED BUILD VID: ruclips.net/video/RhEg_zfxN3Y/видео.html EDIT: Just had a long talk with some peeps about how we were calculating the lepic numbers bc they were adamant I had it wrong, and I'll admit I did goof on one part of the calc, but it turns out everyone had some stuff wrong on the math so I'm glad they reached out and we had the talk we did. WHAT IS THE RESULT, THEN? - The only difference to be had is one slot, and it will more or less boil down to your situational preferences. In terms of initial burst and getting the boss broken/kneeling faster, the build we roll with in the video is better, but in terms of end total dmg if you aren't having any issues breaking them, running with tech spec over spear and shield does win with more continuous dmg(not dot, I'm not talking about overclock). Duration is still just as strong as we said it was, nothing was incorrect there, everything else is still correct as well, but if you want more overall dmg you would slot a power modifier in that slot. The other obvious consideration for your preferences is whether you want more EHP, in which case spear and shield is still a solid slot and there's nothing wrong with that. IF you do roll with a power modifier instead, I advice tech specialist, not max power. The cooldown is pretty harsh on max power, if you decide you need cooldown later using tech spec would allow you to switch to focus on tech for more cooldown with a nonexistent loss in power mod. Three things~ 1) The calculator used, though updated as the prior one had an issue with it cowaii.io/TFD/Calculator/ 2) I applied last week when I knew I wanted to make this vid, and I haven't been approved yet, but if I do then my nexon creator coded would be vashcowaii#6354 and if approved and you are signed up as a supporter under me, I get like 2% of your in game purchases. We'll see how that goes, if I even get approved lmao. [This is active now] 2) For potentially newer lepic users, I didn't clarify that you need roll to cancel your ulty windup animation at the start and save yourself like 4 seconds of usable duration, nor did I clarify that you need your reactor weapon equipped when you switch to your ulty in order to gain the benefit of the fire rate mods, so my b there forgetting to say that.
I'm so glad you're making content for this game. I rage quit the game after copying multiple builds and them all being trash, and feeling like I'm just in a bad gambling addiction.

6:29 THANK YOU. I can't count how many times I've had to explain this to people. There's no other way in the game to get Tech Skill Power than from your reactor, so that roll will be the most impactful
For anyone who hasn't fully invested in lepic yet. With any of these builds. If your crits are unlucky, your gonna have alot of bosses going frenzy before your ultimate is even over. Pyro is still relatively consistent. Swamp walker is about 50/50 some days less. For solo farming I still perfer crit rate/dmg to colossus.
Thank god you are here to fix the popular builds in this game. Especially in this game where testing builds is costly in terms of grinding mats. You have saved me soooooo much time.

Firearm Master does very little for the build. I left the slot empty, which in turn allows me to have a flexible, un catalysed slot for the Fire Specialist/Increased HP variant that Vash explains (tankier, better cooldowns for when I go with friends) or the Tech Specialist/Maximize Skill variant, pure damage, where I don't care about HP or CD and just one phase the bosses (usually for solo).
Ah, finally someone tells me why tf my lepic can't seem to launch more than 15 or 16 shots, and it's because my dumb ass actually got the build right, but shot the barn doors on the components, thinking MP modifier and MP recovery in combat didn't really matter all that much. Thankfully, I do a bunch of devourers and pyromaniacs for catalyst blueprints and activators, so I'm hoping I kept some of those with good rolls. Chances are high, since I'm a hoarder by nature. Thanks for letting me know, very helpful, take a like 😂

Ajax tips? Every unwashed content farmer puts out a half done build that just focuses on "Ajax no die". Always love your content and happy to see you dipping into this before the Remnant DLC.

Thank GOD. Someone else that understands that Skill Power Modifier is next to worthless with skills that have a high base skill power. There is a tiny bit of merit if one was trying to go for the Burn aspect from the ult but not much in comparison to building for the ult itself.
I farmed for a crit dmg and colossus reactor for ages and I ended up picking up at a gold tech boost ratio & damage against colossus. A HUGE thanks to you for doing all this work. It's super appreciated.

after dipping and copying without watching whole thing (instantly regrets of how it works or how to use it) better watch the whole video and learn something for future.
Note that you literally can't replicate this build without near-god rolls on the comps. So don't expect to ace Pyro every time while you're farming him for the next several years (if you have shit luck like me).
@@awesomeclipsofawesomestuff4078 You are able to get the advertised 18 shots? All hitting the enemy? If I shoot at nothing in the lab to get unlimited MP, I only get 17 shots. Only if I equip either a reactor with Skill Duration UP or Battle of Stamina can I get 18 shots. There isn't enough MP for 18 shots though if all shots connect with an enemy, unless you stand reaaaaally far away to get mp recovery out of combat for multiple shots before the first one hits the enemy. Is it working for you? I have god rolls on components and everything.

I don't believe it's possible without modifying the shown build at the beginning by adding either Skill Duration Up on the reactor or using Battle of Stamina and also standing really far away to get enough MP recovery out of combat ticks. Are you able to pull it off? I even have all the god rolls on components.
This solves one of my issues I had with many of the other builds. Lack of survival. I think too many focus on single player boss fights where you are a one shot pony and choose death to go again if needed. Not at all how I want to play. I'm still trying to farm a good slayer set. But I just keep getting garbage or near hits with bad rolls. I have a top notch yellow set that I use. It is hard to accept dropping to blue rolls from yellow.

Hey just wanted to say that I am running this same exact build with the same components and reactor as you, just need a gold mp modifier, I have a purple and I have been stomping every boss. Finally somebody that understands skill power modifier. It drives me nuts when people say "you can't do this because you lose skill power modifier". Yes i can. 30 out of 3000 is meaningless. I got a skill crit dmg reactor so i swapped out spear and shield with max conservation (17 shots) and then, if i want an 18th shot, hp with battle of stamina
FINALLY, Someone who EXPLAINS why he is using each piece and tells you the pros & cons. RATHER than saying my build is the best then posts a new one hours later saying IMPROVED by 1sec or 1mil dmg. Working on my Lepic now, was looking at a similar setup but will swap to a couple of yours and see how much it improves.

Lets just say i used the "OTHER" glass cannon version of this build floating around and i found it was less than perfect, if i went passed the first blitz of my special and the boss survived the initial blitz there was no survivability and i would be f*cked getting downed once every minute..... i have been studying my build trying to figure out what 2 mods i can take off without harming my damage/build and i couldn't figure it out but with your video you answered my question and it makes sence to change what i need to change so i can still be a power house well gaining survivability without losing noticeable power, i really appreciate this video thanks man.

I have a glass cannon build and I promise you I'll do more dps then almost anyone else lol 😅 glass cannon isn't the issue it's people not knowing how to move when being attacked or leaving themselves open for attacks or in some cases Noone reviving the person that dies... there's a yujin for a reason bud lol 😅

If i could make a request, my girlfriend is building enzo with firearm enhancer and i have ult gley cooking and halfway building yujin, would love to see what you could cook up for ult gley and yujin though im sure ult gley would be alot more complicated to optimize. Great video, excellent character build, everything explained beautifully. @VashCowaii I just wanted to let you know that someone copied your video and uploaded it with very minor changes as their own work on RUclips (they just omitted the curses). The channel in question is EatMyDustTV, which is a Polish-language channel. Film is called The First Descendant || Ultimate Lepic Build || Boss Killer Lvl Hard || 16+ Kulek na Z || Poradnik. There are some differences, but as I mentioned earlier, they are trivial. Specifically, the mods are rearranged in the first 4 slots, but the rest, including the explanation of why they "chose" those mods instead of others, match yours almost 100%. Also, instead of the weapon you use, "Wave of Light," they used "Perforator." Why choose a weapon for that ammunition? Once again, they talked about the exact same things as you. Unfortunately, it doesn't end there; the same situation applies to components and explanations of why these and not others, even regarding the reactor. I understand that someone can be inspired by another's work, and I don't think there's anything wrong with that, as long as there is some mention that it's not their time and hours spent on calculations and creating the film itself, and how to present the topic. Thanks for the video. I tried to argue with some other community of lepics saying that maximize duration is the better mod over MP accel. They responded with insults and flaming, but it's just simple math, if you lower your individual shot damage by a percent and you gain more shots out of it, you're doing more way damage. When i tested with MP accel, my lepic in colossus couldn't even do 13 shots. It was 12 at most and most cases 11. So I just started using Max duration and that gave me a consistent 16 shots. However, my components are better than yours, with the same rolls, just gold. I can't seem to get 18 shots no matter how I try. In fact, when I swap out strong mentality for spear and shield, and I lose 3 shots. You mention in your video that the MP recovery in combat and max MP on your sensor should help make up for it if you're not being hit, but that doesn't seem to be the case for me. I think it might be because I'm solo, and for the most part avoiding getting hit by the boss solo is a bit difficult. The shot count is identical only in the case where you're not the target, i.e. running with others. I think the toss up for strong mentality vs spear and shield comes down to if you're solo or not. If you're solo, you kind of have to expect to get hit, and the punishment for being shot is losing 3 shots. While if you have strong mentality, you can take hits and still maintain your shot count. Maybe i'm just doing something wrong, any advice would be welcome. Thanks for this excellent video, I hope you do more TFD videos in the future, subscribed!
I'm having the same issue. I get 16 shots and run out of mana. With strong mentality I get 17 shots and run out of duration. When I additionally add a reactor with skill duration up, I get 18 shots (Video has a reactor with skill duration up). Not sure how we are supposed to get 18 with the presented mod build. You can also see that at 4:36 in the showcase, he is shooting the floor before the boss becomes vulnerable, making him recover MP after every shot. At 5:15 he's "only" shooting 17 shots in both recordings. So it seems like you have the duration for 18 shots (with reactor), but not the mana. Edit: I figured out an issue. I was testing in the lab and standing too close to the enemy, meaning I'm missing out on just enough MP rec. out of combat to get enough for another shot. If I use the same spot as in the video for swamp walker, I can get same amount of shots as in the video (17), but not consistently. I only ever counted 18 shots in the pyro showcase at 4:39, but you can see that the first shot(s) (1 on left, 2 on right) don't connect, meaning MP is being recovered out of combat.
You can't make 18 shot with this build, that's a lie, and here 4:39 look at the MP meter, You just shoting at the ground and the game still consider you "Out of Combat" so you recover MP, You didn't mention this important detail and its kinda misleading, The question is: Can You make 18 shots in combat and by shooting at the boss directly with this build?, The answer is NO.
I can understand where you're misunderstanding because I never mentioned it: I have a habit of manually deactivating the ult when I know I'm done shooting, and then roll canceling the end animation that results from me manually cancelling it. I do this because in the beginning of my lepic use, I didn't get 1phase kills until I tweaked the build later, and because of that I needed to wait for a cooldown. Doing what I do, lets you get to the cooldown faster, because the cooldown won't start until you actually finish the end animation and just like the start animation it lasts forever. If you pay attention to the other other fights, you'll see me get more shots in while landing every shot. Apologies for the confusion, I understand how it may have appeared to look wrong there.
It is an 18 shots build, but you need to have some gold MP rolls on your components, green Sharp Precision Shot and perhaps some skill duration % on your reactor. Tested it and my Memory has 1 MP less then his.
@@harkon6569 You can get 18 shots all directly hitting an enemy? I have gold rolls on everything. 3 less max mp, higher MP recovery out of and in combat, but 18 connecting shots are not possible for me. There is enough skill duration, but not enough MP (unless you fire from the end of the map-ish).
Please make more videos for The First Descendant please! Most of the other ones I've watched definitely are all copy and paste versions of the same over and over again and your totally right on them being 20 minutes for no reason at all! They are pretty much a joke!

I have the exact build while using slayer set and destroy solo bosses at times , unless they rage before killing them. i haven’t tried playing with a team yet so I will keep whoever reads this posted on my results.

Thank GOD. Someone else that understands that Skill Power Modifier is next to worthless with skills that have a high base skill power.
There is a tiny bit of merit if one was trying to go for the Burn aspect from the ult but not much in comparison to building for the ult itself.
I farmed for a crit dmg and colossus reactor for ages and I ended up picking up at a gold tech boost ratio & damage against colossus. A HUGE thanks to you for doing all this work. It's super appreciated.

Note that you literally can't replicate this build without near-god rolls on the comps. So don't expect to ace Pyro every time while you're farming him for the next several years (if you have shit luck like me).
I can’t get a god roll even on the reactor which is way easier to farm 😆

You can also play around with maximize conservation. Either replacing HP or Spear and Shield (depending on scenario)
@@awesomeclipsofawesomestuff4078 You are able to get the advertised 18 shots? All hitting the enemy? If I shoot at nothing in the lab to get unlimited MP, I only get 17 shots. Only if I equip either a reactor with Skill Duration UP or Battle of Stamina can I get 18 shots. There isn't enough MP for 18 shots though if all shots connect with an enemy, unless you stand reaaaaally far away to get mp recovery out of combat for multiple shots before the first one hits the enemy.

This solves one of my issues I had with many of the other builds. Lack of survival. I think too many focus on single player boss fights where you are a one shot pony and choose death to go again if needed. Not at all how I want to play. I'm still trying to farm a good slayer set. But I just keep getting garbage or near hits with bad rolls. I have a top notch yellow set that I use. It is hard to accept dropping to blue rolls from yellow.

Finally somebody that understands skill power modifier. It drives me nuts when people say "you can't do this because you lose skill power modifier". Yes i can. 30 out of 3000 is meaningless.
I got a skill crit dmg reactor so i swapped out spear and shield with max conservation (17 shots) and then, if i want an 18th shot, hp with battle of stamina

FINALLY, Someone who EXPLAINS why he is using each piece and tells you the pros & cons. RATHER than saying my build is the best then posts a new one hours later saying IMPROVED by 1sec or 1mil dmg. Working on my Lepic now, was looking at a similar setup but will swap to a couple of yours and see how much it improves.

Thanks for fixing my lepic... Lets just say i used the "OTHER" glass cannon version of this build floating around and i found it was less than perfect, if i went passed the first blitz of my special and the boss survived the initial blitz there was no survivability and i would be f*cked getting downed once every minute..... i have been studying my build trying to figure out what 2 mods i can take off without harming my damage/build and i couldn't figure it out but with your video you answered my question and it makes sence to change what i need to change so i can still be a power house well gaining survivability without losing noticeable power, i really appreciate this video thanks man.

If i could make a request, my girlfriend is building enzo with firearm enhancer and i have ult gley cooking and halfway building yujin, would love to see what you could cook up for ult gley and yujin though im sure ult gley would be alot more complicated to optimize. Great video, excellent character build, everything explained beautifully. @VashCowaii I just wanted to let you know that someone copied your video and uploaded it with very minor changes as their own work on RUclips (they just omitted the curses). The channel in question is EatMyDustTV, which is a Polish-language channel. Film is called The First Descendant || Ultimate Lepic Build || Boss Killer Lvl Hard || 16+ Kulek na Z || Poradnik. There are some differences, but as I mentioned earlier, they are trivial. Specifically, the mods are rearranged in the first 4 slots, but the rest, including the explanation of why they "chose" those mods instead of others, match yours almost 100%. Also, instead of the weapon you use, "Wave of Light," they used "Perforator." Why choose a weapon for that ammunition? Once again, they talked about the exact same things as you. Unfortunately, it doesn't end there; the same situation applies to components and explanations of why these and not others, even regarding the reactor. I understand that someone can be inspired by another's work, and I don't think there's anything wrong with that, as long as there is some mention that it's not their time and hours spent on calculations and creating the film itself, and how to present the topic. Thanks for the video. I tried to argue with some other community of lepics saying that maximize duration is the better mod over MP accel. They responded with insults and flaming, but it's just simple math, if you lower your individual shot damage by a percent and you gain more shots out of it, you're doing more way damage. When i tested with MP accel, my lepic in colossus couldn't even do 13 shots. It was 12 at most and most cases 11. So I just started using Max duration and that gave me a consistent 16 shots.
However, my components are better than yours, with the same rolls, just gold. I can't seem to get 18 shots no matter how I try. In fact, when I swap out strong mentality for spear and shield, and I lose 3 shots. You mention in your video that the MP recovery in combat and max MP on your sensor should help make up for it if you're not being hit, but that doesn't seem to be the case for me. I think it might be because I'm solo, and for the most part avoiding getting hit by the boss solo is a bit difficult. The shot count is identical only in the case where you're not the target, i.e. running with others.
I think the toss up for strong mentality vs spear and shield comes down to if you're solo or not. If you're solo, you kind of have to expect to get hit, and the punishment for being shot is losing 3 shots. While if you have strong mentality, you can take hits and still maintain your shot count. Maybe i'm just doing something wrong, any advice would be welcome.

I'm having the same issue. I get 16 shots and run out of mana. With strong mentality I get 17 shots and run out of duration. When I additionally add a reactor with skill duration up, I get 18 shots (Video has a reactor with skill duration up). Not sure how we are supposed to get 18 with the presented mod build. You can also see that at 4:36 in the showcase, he is shooting the floor before the boss becomes vulnerable, making him recover MP after every shot. At 5:15 he's "only" shooting 17 shots in both recordings.
So it seems like you have the duration for 18 shots (with reactor), but not the mana.
Edit: I figured out an issue. I was testing in the lab and standing too close to the enemy, meaning I'm missing out on just enough MP rec. out of combat to get enough for another shot. If I use the same spot as in the video for swamp walker, I can get same amount of shots as in the video (17), but not consistently. I only ever counted 18 shots in the pyro showcase at 4:39, but you can see that the first shot(s) (1 on left, 2 on right) don't connect, meaning MP is being recovered out of combat.

Excellent video, I was already using something similar as I hated the full glass cannon builds.
You can't make 18 shot with this build, that's a lie, and here 4:39 look at the MP meter, You just shoting at the ground and the game still consider you "Out of Combat" so you recover MP, You didn't mention this important detail and its kinda misleading, The question is: Can You make 18 shots in combat and by shooting at the boss directly with this build?, The answer is NO.
I can understand where you're misunderstanding because I never mentioned it: I have a habit of manually deactivating the ult when I know I'm done shooting, and then roll canceling the end animation that results from me manually cancelling it. I do this because in the beginning of my lepic use, I didn't get 1phase kills until I tweaked the build later, and because of that I needed to wait for a cooldown. Doing what I do, lets you get to the cooldown faster, because the cooldown won't start until you actually finish the end animation and just like the start animation it lasts forever. If you pay attention to the other other fights, you'll see me get more shots in while landing every shot.

It is an 18 shots build, but you need to have some gold MP rolls on your components, green Sharp Precision Shot and perhaps some skill duration % on your reactor. Tested it and my Memory has 1 MP less then his.
You can also get 18 shots using maximize conservation instead of spear and shield. But you lose a little bit of dmg (not much) and def
@@harkon6569 You can get 18 shots all directly hitting an enemy? I have gold rolls on everything. 3 less max mp, higher MP recovery out of and in combat, but 18 connecting shots are not possible for me. There is enough skill duration, but not enough MP (unless you fire from the end of the map-ish).
Please make more videos for The First Descendant please! Most of the other ones I've watched definitely are all copy and paste versions of the same over and over again and your totally right on them being 20 minutes for no reason at all! They are pretty much a joke!
