- Enjoy some beautiful views of hot and sunny Qatar capital Doha from above, as well as landing in snowy winter Budapest. Flight QR199 of Qatar Airways from Doha (DOH) to Budapest (BUD). Plane - Airbus A330-300, registration A7-AEC, aircraft name - “Al Markhiya”, plane delivered on April 2005.

00:35 - takeoff from Doha International Airport (DOH)
03:40 - great view of The Pearl - Qatar, an artificial island with 3 lagoons (Marsa Arabia, Porto Arabia and Viva Bahriya) and luxurious real estate for over 48 000 residents. The name “The Pearl” was chosen because island is built on once major Qatar pearl diving site.
04:10 - a view on a Katara Towers under construction. Once finished these twin arched towers will be a main landmark of Lucail district of Doha and definitely one of the most recognizable skyscrapers in the World.
04:35 - another artificial island under construction - a Qetaifan Island.
07:15 - flying over Ras Laffan industrial city - Qatar's main site for production of liquefied natural gas. At 07:25 behind the clouds Ras Laffan Port is seen. This is the largest artificial harbour in the world and contains the world's largest LNG export facility.
07:50 - view on snowy mountains in Turkey.
09:50 - approach and landing in Budapest. Just 5 hours of flight and over 30˚C temperature difference ;)

I dont think it was in this year because it was only snowing one or two days here and it was not in december. Now it is 5-10 Celsius...
Hi, Bela. Thank you for your comment! Surprisingly it was this year, 6th of December :)) When we landed it was minus 1 Celsius.
could have been 2018.i was on one of their a330-300's QR199 from memory doha-budapest connecting off QR915 from Adelaide.
Was it the covered tube walkway or the bus from the plane to the terminal?

Hi, One World Traveler! Thank you for your comment. My seat was 33K, but you have to keep in mind, that Qatar Airways have 4 different seat configurations for Airbus A330-200. This one was with no first class and just 4 rows in business class.
