@Tyler Salvador I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm trying it out now. Seems to take a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Hey man, all these people telling you that you're wasting your time are wrong, motorcycles are meant to be shaped to your personality and your riding style, and bottom line what you have the most fun doing. I enjoy your videos and I'm really excited to see this build series, keep doing what makes you happiest!

Looks great Cycle Cruza - thanks for taking us through your build step by step. Im learning a lot too, for example, I didn't even know Seal Savers existed!
Finally a good video! We want more like this, this bike will become a beast! I would like to see it in the present condition how it rips on the track but it's ok.
Wish I could do that in Georgia!! I have rode the 450 on the track and trail it will kill you in the dirt!! BE CAREFULL!! It will show you what whiskey throttle is all about!! It will make a awesome dualsport!!
I'm amped for this series cycle cruza looking forward to the fmf sound and respect the self control I would've started that up right away just to hear the sound lol I'll be watching this series like a hawk.
I raced dirtbikes for 12 years and never busted a radiator. Iv flipped, overshot, cased jumps and got roosted tons of times. I think those plastic ones would be fine
This may sound rude but man I cant wait to see you go down on the trails with the street tires lol. Your gonna be like" well if i was on my WWWRRRR" looool luv ya man
Since your going to make some standard spoke wheels tubeless, it might be worthwhile to find a coating along the lines of like a flex seal. A durable polyurea coating over the spokes would be much less likely to fail vs tape.
I would recommend upgrading to high strength bolts that hold the rad guards to the frame. In a hard enough hit the new rad guards will have a lot of leverage on that bolt and the factory bolt will break like cheese.
Shinko 705s work really well as an 80/20. However.. in my experience, they do have a "slick" break in experience, as well as performing as such in the mud. I highly recommend them for urban and the durability regarding mileage is phenomenal, great lean angles once and if they are broken in correctly.
Great build, however the seal savers will just keep dirt in causing your seals to bust quicker and even cause damage to your fork tubes causing guages, etc. I use to run them woods riding and the mud, etc would cause me to have to replace seals every few rides or so, so i removed them and have had no problems.
hi CycleCruza how do you like the yamaha always been a fan of it and always owned it have a raptor 250cc then a raptor 700 grizzly etc want to get my first supermoto trying too find the right bike you’re a guy like me that i don’t like any issues or problems so if you can help me a bit it’ll be very good thanks in advance (sorry for my english)
Why dosent the bike come with a fan ? I would class a cooling fan as basic so why is it not installed from the factory especially as the screw holes and connecting socket are already there. 😀
@@CycleCruza jesus they will sell cars soon with no coolant cooling fans to save money to and say its not hot where you drive so your car will be fine. Just avoid traffic. And then no aircon or blower fan. You will turn your aircon or blower on and there will be no switch and they will say ohhh the aircon and blower yes we took the fans out as its not hot in your part of the world.
@@2wheelsoffroad730 so if you do buy this bike and live in hot climate and do some low speed riding with this bike from the factory you will overheat your engine as there is no cooling fans from factory ?
carlcostello360 I don’t know about this specific bike but some bikes yes. Some days It gets up to 115 in the desert where I live so I had to put a cooling fan on my 250 2t and a 2bar radiator cap to prevent boiling over. It just depends on the bike or conditions. It also allows some people who don’t need them to save money like cyclecruza said.
Bullet proof and fmf are my go to exhaust and radiator guards bulletproof also makes some other protection byt i dont consider those a necessity like i do radiator guards
last week was my first time to ride a dual sport.... and I really love it.... but.... not as I love a Full Fairing.... the speed and anything..... only Full Fairing can fullfill me... 😆 I'm a pure track rider
Cyclecruza I've enjoyed your channel for a long time. And your one cool guy. But I swear I'm going to mail you new pair of nail clippers. Damn son either cut em or paint em . Lol.
Those radiator guards dont look like they will protect any thing. You see the plastic ones from the front and you cant see the radiator, its protected from any rocks coming from the front. Wile the other one is flat and full of holes and will let pass any rock as long as it has the right size.
The radiator guards main purpose is to protect side impact they also protect the front from roost. If you have ever ridden a dirt bike in the dirt you would know these are a good product .Speak from experience not speculation .
No these Bulletproof rad guards are legit. It helps make the rads stronger in a side impact crash and will divert big rocks. The stock plastic ones are nothing!
Nice! In the past I thought about getting the RX but this new 2019 FX has the ability to change the power profile anytime via smartphone , that feature sold me. We'll see how good it is... Happy riding bro!
Are you going to have to get a bigger stator to power the lights? im thinking about doing this on my ktm sxf not sure if the stock stator can handle the lights
@@CycleCruza your wr is far from a high performance motor though. You may want to toss a high pressure radiator cap on it.. also engine ice for the coolant. But remember the wr was built for reliability. The YZ is performance. Yes YZ are as tough as they come (I own 2) but still are race bikes.
yes, I got the cush drive! As far as the YZ, running hot, these guards won't make it run hotter according the reviewers. I got engine ice, will put it in when I have to install speedometer. The fam kit I put on will keep it cool as well.
@@CycleCruza nice!!! The radiator braces catch much more debris so when riding motocross, they will overheat. If you are not in that dirty of an environment it does limit air flow but the engine ice (combined with a hp radiator cap) and a fan should help. Dont let it idle like your wr. Or sit in heavy traffic
Also those rad guards are trash, there's nothing wrong with the stock plastic ones. Oh and that fork sock will act like a sand paper scratching your fork tube lol
Bulletproof rad guards @$200 are far from trash, you better ask somebody! lol All reviews for Bulletproof rad guards are 5 stars! These rad guards make them much stronger. As far as the deal savers, I've had seal savers on my wr250r for a while now and I can attest that they do not pose any issues.
@@manrightchea ummm you understand that any scratches in the lower fork tube junks the fork right? That's why there are plastic fork guards there, and if something does get there, the wiper seal removes it. The wiper seal cant remove any dirt that's being held by the seal saver, it continues grinding into the fork like sandpaper.
@@CycleCruza I challenge you to find any reputable suspension guy that would recommend those Fork Socks. They completely take away the power of the wiper seal to do its job.
@@CycleCruza and I dont care how much anything costs. You can buy a $1500 exhaust but it doesnt mean its nearly as durable to even as good as the OEM one. Some "mods" are simply pointless.
most people put the yz450 stock slip on pipe on the wrf 450s for a reason. its the best pipe for them. You need to read up on the exhaust shoot out. Its stock or pro circuit . p.s you dont need to use to stock clamp on a slip on.
The stock pipe is good but does not have a spark arrester and it's too loud for when I do urban fookery, I try to be more under the radar as to not draw attention when I play.
I would be concerned with the oil capacity while on road with the SM set up. These bike were not meant to traveling fast for long periods on time on the road. Cool Video!
The seal savers are not a good idea like they seem. In the past I've had them scratch my forks worse than not having them at all. Sand gets trapped under them and does the exact opposite of what they are supposed to.
I'm not on a sumo kick, I have to try it before I praise or hate on it. In the past, I was skeptical of sumo but my viewers said I need t try it so I will. If it is not better than dual sport trim I will certainly let you all know. This is all an experiment to share.
It would be interesting to see a before & after wet weight to see how accurate Yamaha is/ how much she gains weight when you make her honest (street legal) / how out out of line the new Honda CRF450L is when we get real numbers Batman
The SM size Continental tkc80s would go well on this build!!!would also limit the amount of times you'd need to do wheel swaps. I hear shinko make some 17inch Sm knobbies too

You should be happy you didn't know. They are otherwise known as "dirt trappers" or "fork tube sandpapers"
Yeah, I'm not really sure why he'd put them on there being that the stantion bearings aka dust wipers are designed to keep oil in and dirt out.
I’m FINALLY picking up a 2019 yz450FX to SuperMoto out. Thanks for making me love the bike haha. 🤘🏻🇺🇸
Awesome series, this thing will kick ass once its all ready to go 🔥

damn tight looking bike! can’t wait to see finished.

Get the radiator fan mod for it. Especially if you're making it dual sport. They don't have factory fan and overheat if stopped long.

last week was my first time to ride a dual sport.... and I really love it.... but.... not as I love a Full Fairing.... the speed and anything..... only Full Fairing can fullfill me... 😆 I'm a pure track rider
You should get the shorter front fender, with the supermoto wheels on, it's gonna look weird with that huge one on there
Looking forward to seeing how this build turns out cycle cruza 🤙🏼 keep it up
what an awesome looking beast
Loved the video!
I'm gonna love this series.
Looking awesome man 👍😀
Hi, I am interested in buying the factory muffler you have changed. Do you still have it and if you do what is your price? Thank you
Can you go over the cost of all the upgrades and weight for each item on the next videos thanks
Bro i’m fucking stoked for the next part
Nice mods, love it so far :)
Cyclecruza I've enjoyed your channel for a long time. And your one cool guy. But I swear I'm going to mail you new pair of nail clippers. Damn son either cut em or paint em . Lol.
Why did you use silicone sealant instead of proper exhaust paste?
@@starfox_wr-45e93 lol yea they are lame. The radiator runs hotter with them too. Plastic ones are far better.
@@starfox_wr-45e93 yeah.. this dude doesn't know anything about supermoto or mx.. smh with this build fr
This thread on thumpertalk says: thumpertalk.com/forums/topic/1086115-are-radiator-bracesguards-worth-it/
Cool. Nice music also
Curious to see how those Shinko's work out for you. I put Shinko 005's on my litre bike and they didn't last long. However, they worked well.
You need to program that exhaust in, it will lean out
sick build !
Nice I’m thinking of doing the same to my 2017 CRF 450 RX. I originally wanted the FX but any who great machine enjoy my brother.
Nice! In the past I thought about getting the RX but this new 2019 FX has the ability to change the power profile anytime via smartphone , that feature sold me. We'll see how good it is... Happy riding bro!
I hate radiators on motorcycles. Seems like a step backwards! Those seal savers are cool.
Herb Wag it’s needed sadly
Does this fan kit work on a 2022 YZ450F? I just bought it two weeks ago.
Looks fun!
I wonder how dirty those fork seal protection will get offroad. Those are kinda cloth like material.
Nice Guy just wash them?
Keeps dirt and water from getting up in the for seal. I like them to avoid power washing the seals. I also have them on my wr250r.
Are you going to have to get a bigger stator to power the lights? im thinking about doing this on my ktm sxf not sure if the stock stator can handle the lights
He said it's got a 160w generator so it should be good, especially if he uses LED
Those rad guards will make your bike run hotter Cyclecruza.
I jave similar ones on my wr250r, no issues.
For the SM setup, are you planning on running a cush drive?
yes, I got the cush drive!
Scratching the fork tube? It's a dirt bike man, what the hell you think is going to happen to it lol.
My supermoto had a Yoshimura exhaust fully opened sounded so nice. How is that stock exhaust oo loud when your CBR isnt?
the yz is a closed course race bike, doesn't have all the emissions crap.
I'm aware, just take the arrestor back off after the inspection booyah
most people put the yz450 stock slip on pipe on the wrf 450s for a reason. its the best pipe for them.
CycleCruza the silent cruza lol
Is the WR250R air cooled and single cylinder
Looking good looking good lol
I would be concerned with the oil capacity while on road with the SM set up. These bike were not meant to traveling fast for long periods on time on the road.
Cool Video!
I will not be riding highway much at all, backroads....
He thought the fmf was gonna make it quite😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Get a set of Forged Marchesini Supermoto Wheels For this!!
6 month wait time, F that!
CycleCruza I waited 10 😂. But some warped 9 on for now. Worth the wait. Tubeless is the best.
Dam you are patient. lol We'll see how the Warp 9 wheels do, I'll give a long term review.
The seal savers are not a good idea like they seem. In the past I've had them scratch my forks worse than not having them at all. Sand gets trapped under them and does the exact opposite of what they are supposed to.
Is that jit good for any bike
I’ve rode for 7+ years and crashed a lot of times and no problems from my radiators but that’s just me tho
So all your fans got pissed and now you're back on the SM kick. haha
I'm not on a sumo kick, I have to try it before I praise or hate on it. In the past, I was skeptical of sumo but my viewers said I need t try it so I will. If it is not better than dual sport trim I will certainly let you all know. This is all an experiment to share.
Hey cyclelooza.. why not just get the CRF450L? They are showing up in North America now. Can you take the Yamaha back for a refund?
It would be interesting to see a before & after wet weight to see how accurate Yamaha is/ how much she gains weight when you make her honest (street legal) / how out out of line the new Honda CRF450L is when we get real numbers
Batman
hey where can you find those fans at
Dude swap your stock plastics and store them like you do with the 1000 double r. Because after a while you'll sell this too right?
He's going to have to, so he can buy the crf450l
thomas williams he’s not getting the 450l. He said it multiple times in previous videos comments.
Collin Mac yeah he also said he wouldn’t buy a Ducati or Supermoto. Ahahahaha
@@CollinMac96 it's only a matter of time before he realizes that he made a grave mistake
I love the look of these plastics too much. We'll see how the maintenance is on this bike. I have a feeling I'm going to get sick of valve checks.
The SM size Continental tkc80s would go well on this build!!!would also limit the amount of times you'd need to do wheel swaps. I hear shinko make some 17inch Sm knobbies too
I might try those tires in the future on my wr250r.
CYCLE CRUZAAAAA!
