Super creative idea! I wonder if the marbles are attracted to each other gravitationally at a small level... It does look like some of them are "dancing" with each other

Every thing has a gravitational pull: the more mass, the more powerful the gravitational pull is.

It's because they enter the funnel at different angles and the shape of their "orbits" around the hole are slightly different... also each marble is different so that could change their path slightly
They are attracted to each other but this is nowhere near enough to move a feather

Hallo Murmiland, schon die Murmelbahn ansich ist einfach nur SUPER, aber dann noch dieses ausgefuchste Video davon... !! Echt unglaublich! Wie habt ihr das blos gefilmt, von Minute 1:34 bis 4:04 ??
Zusammen mit der Wienerwalzermusik sieht es in der oben genannten Filmsequenz wirklich zeitweise genau so aus, als tanzten immer jeweils zwei Murmeln zur Musik den Wienerwalzer (und ich weiß wovon ich da spreche nach 7 jähriger Mitgliedschaft in einem Tanzkreis)!
Ganz großes Lob, vor allem eben auch für den/die Kameramann/Kamerafrau und auch den/die Video-Cutter/in!
+Martin Kiechle Danke für das große Lob. Das Filmchen drehen war ein großer Spaß. Zuerst hatte ich die Kamera nur in die Mitte des Trichters gelegt, das Ergebnis war aber nicht gut. Dann wurde die Kamera an einen dünnen Fadfen über den Trichter gehängt und der Faden aufgedreht. Die Kamera konnte sich nun mit den Murmeln mitdrehen, und das erstaunliche Ergebnis ist hier zu sehen.
+Murmiland: Das hätte man ja fast noch mit einer zweiten Kamera einfangen sollen, und es dann noch kurz als kleines Bild in Bild einblenden... ;)
Aber so ist es natürlich auch gut, denn alle Zuschauer, die beim Filme-Schauen nicht vergessen, dass da ja eine Kamera entsprechend geführt werden muss (von Computeranimationen mal abgesehen) werden sich bei dieser Sequenz automatisch staunend wundern (wie es mir ja auch ging), wie DAS wohl gefilmt wurde! :)

but how did you make the funnel? like, obviously it is just a bunch of trapazoids with 2 rounded sides all placed together....but what did you do to hold them together, and what did you coat them with... i would not think that it is just a simple varnish. Any ideas?
The funnel consists of segments of a circle. The circular segment sections are glued with wooden strips at the joints. The grain of the segments goes towards the center.
One segment is omitted and the whole structure is pulled together into a funnel.
A second layer of wooden segments is glued into this funnel. A turned funnel is inserted in the middle.
The paint used is boat paint.

I have to build a marble funnel for a STEM project, any advice on calculating the slope? So far I've seen the mathematical formula for the best result is y = -(1/|x|) but I honestly have never built one and not sure how true that formula is.
Unfortunately I have no formula.

What's the point of filming a 1080p when everything is blured?
You clearly lack knowledge of the point of this video. First of all, everything is not blurred, and second of all, they rotate the camera with the marbles to show how similar it seems to a ball, with all the marbles dancing.
