I love how both of you did hilarious stretching in the pods, especially Sam. I was amazed how big the pods were as well! They look surprisingly comfortable for being so small.
I loved the capsule size. I stayed there for 6 nights. The bad side is that you have to check out everyday until 10 a.m. even if you stay for continuous nights. In time: you can't pay for all nights at once, so each day you have to do the same process, but you get the same capsule you had the night before and your stuff can be kept in the locker.
you probably dont give a damn but does anyone know a method to log back into an Instagram account?? I somehow forgot the account password. I love any assistance you can offer me.
First time seeing a capsule hotel experience vlog... came here after watching your Indian tour. This one is on different level highly advanced and modernized. Nice couple, Sam seems like a sweet and mild-mannered person.
I stayed at the Yotel Heathrow during a 9 hour layover. These are not pods, but miniature rooms. Excellent decision. I arrived exhausted and with very bad motion sickness. Made it to the Yotel, sacked out and made my next flight in much better condition. The toilet and shower are located in each unit. Nicely outfitted. Book by the hour.
Love this video ❤️ So dope seeing another couple exploring the world together and killing it. Japan is on our list after we conquer Europe! Thanks so much for the inspiration!
People do sleep in the day for many reasons, they have travelled for many hours or have got a red eye flight or they might be working away from home and work unsocial hours in shift patterns or they might simply be tired after partying all night or feeling unwell so that is why the pod rooms are supposed to be quiet at all times, i just saw another Man v's women in the same region prior to when you filmed yours today too lol
Reminded me of the Fifth Element. I'd be fighting claustrophobic thoughts all night long inside that pod but looks worth it just for the anecdote. Great video guys!
I'm surprised they didn't have 'ambient sound' offerings in the pods.....that would block out unwanted noise from other pods and hallway.....and even relax travelers.... I think that little thing would be a huge winner for them.
They do have ambient sounds proof capsule hotels, but than it will cost you about like 10,000 yen or more a night. That like about $100 dollar or more a night in a capsule hotel.
Nice vid. Interesting to see what a capsule hotel is like. We normally prefer to stay in 4 star hotels but must admit it would be a fun experience to try. Love your Japan vids! Best Regards to you both from Copenhagen, Denmark - Maxi and Maro
Oh no no no no no! I am claustrophobic and I cannot and will not ride on elevators (due to being in one that fell). That place would be hell for me...Capsule hotel = a funeral crypt, I'd rather sleep on a park bench in the snow while getting a root canal without anesthetic as my toes are getting gnawed on by angry rabid squirrels. Maybe I exaggerate but I got my point across, right?
Hi,guys! Another very interesting video! How was the shower at the capsule hotel? Was it comfortable!? My mom said that there's no way she could stay there as she is claustrophobic! Lol.
Amazing video like always. I might be going to Tokyo this summer and y’alls videos have helped a lot. What area would u recommend to stay if I’m going for a week
Oh my goddd, in nine days start my trip, and the first nigth in Japan is in the 9H Shinjuku!!! Huge coincidence. P.D: when you come to Argentina must go to eat at "Sarkis" traditional middle east food. Remember that name
aipooalice. I stayed at this exact 9hours for 13 nights. It was absolute bliss. I am 6ft tall, bad back and claustrophobic. I would give the accommodation a 5 star rating.
I would think I would need a couple of beers to sleep in such a place but I would worry about waking up in the night and having to go to another floor to use the restroom.
Thank you, your video is really complete, I’m going to Japan this weekend and I’ll probably stay in a capsule hotel. Now, I get a more accurate idea about this :) Just a question: even if I book for several days, do I have ti check in/check out every day? So do I have to free the locker every day? Thank you :) an italian guy
Plus-side being it would be great coffins if the "big one" struck dead of night....if that is consolation (womp-womp) - Japanese efficiency can be a bit to much, I think - nothing like the chaos of India to counterbalance that sort, ay Sam...:-)
Not sure the capsule thing would suit me as I snore when asleep (according to my wife - so does she but won't admit to it) also I'm too fat to bend like you young things. Great video as always!
Muy interesante! !
No window, no curtain, no moon light, no breeze- very minimalistic to the core. :-) Not a healthy way to spend even a night. Instead of wishing 'Good night' one can opt for R I P .! Sam, why a break in releasing India videos? Wishes from Chennai, India.
@Anna Witter Power interruption in Japan wow is a thing I have never experienced in my 27 years of residency. Even if it does happen, there will always be a standby power generator. You should know that Japan’s infrastructure, establishments were made by highest quality standards than most countries. Note that it is not a third world country .Try to go and experience by yourself 😃👍

some ten years ago , capsule hotels were seen as midnight shelter for drunken people who lost his last train, but now changed stylishly.
Thanks Hyoma! It is fascinating how they went from that to a tourist experience.
I love how both of you did hilarious stretching in the pods, especially Sam. I was amazed how big the pods were as well! They look surprisingly comfortable for being so small.
Thanks Anne! They were quite a bit bigger than we had initially anticipated.

Had no idea you had to check-out like that Alex! Thanks for sharing.
Audrey that thing you did with your head when in the computer cubicle was just the cutest thing!!!
Gosh, it's like you guys are living in the far future xD So cool!
Thank you! It certainly is that kind of environment.

@Izaiah Roy instablaster =)
I stayed at the 9h in Kyoto this summer and I loved it too!! More spacious than i expected!!
Cool to hear Kristen! I wonder if it was bigger than the one we stayed in?
The capsule hotel looked so cool very clean I would try one when in Japan for sure ......Great video Sam and Audrey
Thanks Effie! It was definitely clean. Hope you can try it!
The capsule looks like a spaceship in Hollywood movies 😂😂😂
Hahaha! It sure does.
Sam dancing in his capsule gives me life 😅😅😅
lol, thank you!

Well done again guys. LOve your clips x
Thank you very much Paul!
That looked so interesting. But I think Audrey summed it up quite well, I would also prefer this to be a one night experience.
Thanks Kaustav! One and done ;)
the capsule looks cool thanks guys
Thank you!
You guys' personality is so great... How can you guys always keep the nice mood? Do you two quarrel to each other sometime?
Thank you very much! Ah, we do but try not to capture that on camera.
Nice your capsule hotel experience video it's so awesome
Thank you very much Manjunath!
Quite spacious. It would be cool to compare a few of the more popular capsule hotels and which you recommend.
Thanks! That would be a fun project.
Cant wait to sleep in the Atlantis Pods in Singapore this October
That is great to hear! Hope you have an awesome experience.
Another great travel video!!! Thanks for the great info!
Thank you very much!
Thanks for sharing and as always very interesting. I love it.

Very interesting video. Thank you for your share

A very particolar experience guys the capsule hotel! But......not for me!!!😂😂😂
Love your vids!! Hugs! Renata
Thanks Renata! I think the small spaces would put a lot of people off.
It looks like Sam really enjoyed his space capsule :)
Thanks Adi! I loved it.
You are guys are adorable. Thanks for the tour. Capsules are a bit too small for my liking & I'm 4'11". I guess I like my space....lol
Thanks Karen! You do feel rather confined inside of them.
Your experience is much more interesting than my life in Japan🗾😆
Thank you! We really enjoyed going to the capsule hotel.
Love this video ❤️ Japan’s capsule hotels are definitely on my bucket list. You guys rock! Sam always gives me a good laugh
Thank you very much Annette! We had a great time.
Oh wow very interesting thanks for sharing this video
Thanks Michael! We really enjoyed the experience.
Love this video ❤️ So dope seeing another couple exploring the world together and killing it. Japan is on our list after we conquer Europe! Thanks so much for the inspiration!
Thank you very much Cate and Kenny! Hope you enjoy traveling in Europe and Japan is a great country to visit.

Thanks for explaining that. It makes a lot of sense.
Cool place you guys stayed at
Thanks for the info, looks interesting!
Thanks Julie! It was a lot of fun :)
Cool video, thanks for sharing. I am interested in doing this. But I worry it'd be super warm in there, how was the temperature?
The temperature was regulated to be about room temperature which was really nice.
Reminded me of the Fifth Element. I'd be fighting claustrophobic thoughts all night long inside that pod but looks worth it just for the anecdote. Great video guys!
Thanks Guillermo! It is definitely a tight space!
Wow, this capsule hotel is so interesting! Although I think I would spend just one night like you did!
Thanks Bruno! It was definitely interesting but one night was enough for us.
Did I miss where it said how much the stay cost them, or was that not mentioned?
I stayed here for a week and I loved it!!
That's really cool to hear Diana!
Samuel and Audrey - Travel and Food Videos I love your videos too!! 😁
Looks like a cool experience guys and one I think we'd like to try sometime.😉 They look very cosy. Who was snoring ? Sam or Audrey? 😲
Thank you! Hahaha...maybe both of us ;)
Mental note...bring ear plugs lol. Great vid you two ✌
Thanks Michelle! Definitely bring those plugs...haha
캡슐호텔 꼭 이용해봐야겠어요. 좋은영상 감사!!
고맙습니다! 희망을 곧 체험 할 수 있습니다.
Cool, I've been wanting to see a review of this capsule chain. Wanted to ask if there are toilets on each floor.
That is cool to hear! They had lots of toilets.
I'm surprised they didn't have 'ambient sound' offerings in the pods.....that would block out unwanted noise from other pods and hallway.....and even relax travelers....
I think that little thing would be a huge winner for them.
That would have been a great addition!
They do have ambient sounds proof capsule hotels, but than it will cost you about like 10,000 yen or more a night. That like about $100 dollar or more a night in a capsule hotel.

Thank you very much Maxi and Maro! To be honest it lacks the comforts of a typical hotel but for one night it was fun.
Was wondering what the song is at 2:30 if anyone knows, been trying to find it everywhere!
How was the ventilation in the capsule?!? Moving air makes me feel less claustrophobic!
Thanks Emily! It was actually really good. There was some air conditioning going on.
Oh no no no no no! I am claustrophobic and I cannot and will not ride on elevators (due to being in one that fell). Thanks Robert! I think a lot of people would feel this way. We got stuck in an elevator once.
Originally I read you preferred sleeping on a park bench in the snow getting a root from a camel...only Aussies will understand this (笑)

Hi,guys! Another very interesting video! How was the shower at the capsule hotel? Was it comfortable!? My mom said that there's no way she could stay there as she is claustrophobic! Lol.
Thanks Atsuko! The showers were really nice. Lots of hot water and good water pressure.

Thanks Johny! Nearby Shinjuku is where we were based and we'd definitely recommend that area.
Miss Mina did stay in the same Japanese capsule hotel.
Cool to hear Stephanie.
Wow ! Interesting experience :) but alone in capsule :) so happy or not ?:)

I like your black slippers. Usually hotels give you the white ones but apparently everything is different in Japan 😉😉
Thank you! Black was an interesting color.
Go to a varadero hotel in Cuba
Thanks for the tip.
Do they force you to wear the pajamas? I’ve never liked pajamas.
No, you can wear what you'd like.
How do you control the temperature?
I thought this has those communal bathhouses.
I think some of the more fancy capsule hotels have them.
how much did it cost?
Thanks Jef. Here is the information for prices: ninehours.co.jp/en/shinjuku-north/
Capsule hotel ballet by Sam!
LOL, we sure had funs staying there.
Can you leave the capsule hotel when you want to go out or something for example a cigarette and come back whenever you want ?
Yeah, you can come and go like any other hotel.
Did anyone else thing the music when Sam was showing the pods was creepy? Lol sounds like scary movie music
Hehehe...it is a bit
Better than a hostel im guessing and I always use ear plugs..the price would be an important factor....
Thanks! Earplugs is a great idea.
How much is it per night and compared to a hotel or hostel?
Thanks Don! Here is all of the pricing information: ninehours.co.jp/en/shinjuku-north/
Thanks! Looks like around 50 USD ish
Why didn't Audrey do the shower footage?
?
Can you put the price in the description?
Thanks, sorry for not including that. I believe it was around $40-50 USD per night.
Audrey wrote more info on her blog post if you are interested: thatbackpacker.com/2019/05/23/futuristic-capsule-hotel-tokyo/
What did it cost?
The pillow and blanket look very big. It looked liked they were big enough for 2 people.
They were a generous size!
Plus-side being it would be great coffins if the "big one" struck dead of night....if that is consolation (womp-womp) - Japanese efficiency can be a bit to much, I think - nothing like the chaos of India to counterbalance that sort, ay Sam...:-)

Thanks Ian! It is funny how those who accuse others of snoring are often even worse themselves 😆
I snore also. I'm afraid they would kick me out for being to loud. Lol
A little claustrophobic for me but I guess if I was really tired I could do it. The whole place was very nice though.👍
Thanks, totally understand.,
Great video, but wow! does it feel a little like sleeping in a coffin?
Thanks Lulu! It is definitely a tight space.
