Audrey, you never pour a liquid detergent directly over clothes. This is a way to make permanent stains on your clothes. There is usually a small canister where you add your detergent and the washing machine handles everything from that moment on. Hope this helps.
I loved watching this! It's nice to see what the behind the scenes day's are like as well as the major travel days! Helps show its not all exploring! :D
I adore you guys and always look forward to your videos! I really loved this relaxed “day in the life of Audrey & Sam” kind of video. Just the normalcy of doing laundry, lunch/dinner, and a walk around the neighborhood is a nice way to shake things up sometimes.
I also loved Audrey’s excitement over PB (and amen to chunky pb!!!) I remember the same excitement when I was in Rome. After days of pasta, pizza and gelato, we found a small asian market where we found cup ramen! It was the best cup ramen ever!!
Thanks for the sharing the more authentic side of life in Tokyo! Typically don’t see this kind of stuff getting posted all over RUclips. Is there any significant language barrier with day-to-day activities off the beaten path where you both are?
Thank you! In terms of language barrier there definitely is one. In restaurants without English menus and customer service you'll likely just have to point and smile or gesture to get things you want.
Audrey's editing is really good! I didn't know she was doing that part, can't imagine how time-consuming must be specially on the road. Mad props to her for the excellent work!

I thought it might be so. However, Japanese goods often do not correspond to English, so they thought that there was also a mistake. I ’m sorry for my GOOGLE English.

My sis is going to live in Tokyo for a longer period of time starting in September this year..so we are looking for information for a good start. Thank you in advance and thanks a lot for your lovely videos! Greetings from rainy Germany
Thanks Nyan! You'll notice them when you walk around your neighborhood. I'd say if you cover a 4-4 block radius of wherever you're staying you'll find one for sure. They tend to offer prices considerably cheaper than produce in a bigger grocery store.

Some people call it Omu-Rice, but it's not. I know it because I'm Japanese. Omu-Rice is fried chicken rice and omlette with tomato sauce. But this one is chinese style fried rice with shrimp omlette with sweet soure sauce. This chinese style Japanese omlette is called Tenshin-don (actually this dosen't exist in China). Japan have many Chinese style food called Chuuka (Chuuka means Chinese cuisine in Japanese). Once in a while Ramen had been callled Chuuka soba (Chinese noodles) in Japan. Chuuka (Ramen, Gyoza and so on) and Japanese Curry Rice have become Japanese national food. Japanese style Western cuisine also has become Japanese national food, which is called Yoshoku. Foreigners may think Japanese eat lots of Sushi and raw fish, but in the reality Japanese eat tons of foreign base food daily. Probably avarage Japanese eat Sushi or raw fish just once a month. Many Japanese eat more Western style breakfast than Japanese traditional breakfast (Rice, Miso soup, Fish and Vegies).

That is cool to hear. We feel the same way now as we really get to know a place better if we stay longer.
290 yen so cheap omg where is this place
I thought she just added the bleach for that, cos the washing soap comes out automatically later. I’m not sure though.
I thought it might be so. However, Japanese goods often do not correspond to English, so they thought that there was also a mistake.
I ’m sorry for my GOOGLE English.
Hey guys, how do I find these kind of cheap fruit/veggie no name shops? Do they have a specific name? My sis is going to live in Tokyo for a longer period of time starting in September this year..so we are looking for information for a good start. Thank you in advance and thanks a lot for your lovely videos! Greetings from rainy Germany
Thanks Nyan! You'll notice them when you walk around your neighborhood. I'd say if you cover a 4-4 block radius of wherever you're staying you'll find one for sure. They tend to offer prices considerably cheaper than produce in a bigger grocery store.
Samuel can I please ask which make and model of camera you are using to shoot your RUclips videos. Thanks
Sure thing! I use a Panasonic GH5 but if you want a cheaper option that is just as good get the newer G9.
@@samuelandaudrey THANK YOU.GREATLY APPRECIATED.
Me encanta ver el canal en inglés porque Samuel habla más! Agradezco que igualmente los entiendo!
Red wine and sushi 🤔 different 😄. But seriously, Sam, was it a good combination?
Thanks Bruno! Hahaha...I'm the wrong guy to ask because I love red wine with everything...lol
I was thinking : yes, they have very stressful lifes with no real job to do like the rest of us !!
but after a while : she have to editing any single day many hours a day, they have to do almost a new video a day finding new interesting content and also work on the channel etc...
If that not sound like a work to you. A nice work around the world but still..a real job. Continue like this guys, i will follow you anywere.
Thank you very much Ebefren. The truth is that we love what we do but we put in insane weekly hours of about 65 to 80 of work each week to keep our business going.
I love you Samuel, you're a good man, but I had to turn on the captions @ 7:48..
Thank you! Sorry for the audio issues.
How many videos do you try to make in a ?? Month. I know it depends on where you at and travel. Just wondering... Really enjoyed this video. TY👍🏼❤️
Thanks Sarah! Now when we're on the road we try to make at least one or more video on average per day. So a 60 day trip we'd like 60+ videos. We don't film every single day but we do make 2-3 videos on some days and have a pure work day on others.
Samuel and Audrey - Travel and Food Videos thanks so much for answering my questions. That’s lots of videos. Which is probably the easy part or funnier.. Funnier lol. The / editing is prob a lot more work. Thanks again
Wow! You guys know kimchi fried rice^^
Thanks! We love it.
I guess what Sam had for his lunch on the day is a kind of new variety from Tenshindon en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tenshindon
And I drink wine sometimes with Japanese dish though I tend to choose white wine with 🍣
Thanks for explaining that Yuka! Ah, that is a nice pairing as white goes well with fish.
Which part of Tokyo were you staying in?
Near ShinOkubo station in the outskirts of Shinjuku. We'll have an apartment tour coming out very soon :)
You choose your apartment near the Korean town!
Thanks Estela! Indeed, we have a few videos coming up of us exploring that area :)
Hey Audrey how you doing. I guess you are in Canada atm & it's about the afternoon or round abouts 🦌 Sam must be back from out in India .
Thanks Imran! We're back in Canada and today it is close to -20! Brrrr....how is the weather for you?
@@samuelandaudrey -20 is insanely cold by comparison here in Rawalpindi Pakistan northern Punjab region of the Indian Sub continent the max is about 15 & a minimum of 3°C would seem positively balmy but it's cold enough to be using room heaters I think it's one of the driest areas of the world it's rained just a few times.we r close to the foothills of the Karakorums, infact they begin from here onwards & they've had snow recently. Winters I guess is the best season here. Have fun.cheers🌨️
I know a lot of people would prefer warmer weather but that sounds pretty nice to me.
Yeah! IKEA cups! :-D
They are great!
Sam's lunch looked soo yum 😋 I know yourll did visit an Indian restaurant once, is there alot of them around? And any idea what the weather is like around December and January? Still waiting on that QnA by the way 😋
Thanks Aditi! There were two ones that we noticed nearby our place. It is really cold during that time of year. Opposite to what we experienced.
7:48 I DEFINITELY HEARD SOMETHING ELSE 😹😹😹😹
Day in the life... 👍👍. Would I be right in saying that the ‘Video Editor’ is Audrey and the ‘Videographer’ is Sam - primarily? Or do you guys switch duties as necessary? Your videos are always ‘Spot On’ in both respects.
Thank you very much! We share both roles to be honest. Audrey did more editing for a while but now I'm doing more of the first cuts and she does the refinements.

It's just japanese life style inTokyo👍
As if you guys look have been in Tokyo for ten years😊
Thank you very much! That really means a lot to hear that. We sure enjoyed having a whole month to experience Tokyo.
Nice video
Thanks Borna! How was your weekend?
I’m 💯% I missed this but why are you guys living there and for how long!?!?
Thanks Silvana! We visited Japan for 2 months last year.
You are now tokio japan
