This is something I was really searching for! Excellent use of paper tubes! I make origami flower's stems this way and never thought to make somethimg out of stems - tubes themselves. Actually in my country they make traditional baskets from willow branches at very similar way but you made it simpler and from paper. Now I can make vases for my origami bouquets any shape and hight that I need. And it looks great too! I simply love it! Thank you for sharing!

+Jhen Jacobe Essentially any kind of paint/color can be used. Here I have used ink that is used to refill printer cartridges. They come in bottles of CMY( Cyan, Magenta, Yellow) colors which can be mixed in different proportions to make any color. The amount of water mixed depends on how light or dark color you want. Not really but takes a little practice. At first your tubes will be uneven and different sized. But even with uneven tubes the pen stand still looks amazing.

What is the size of the pentagon (length of the pentagon edge? Also what is the size of the needle used?
Would u be able to recommend something more common that could replace the needle to make the tubes?

Making those paper rolls is a tough job 😓 i tried it.. Husshh!!! Couldn't get them as perfect as shown!

With paper tubes it is really easy. And with straws it is a bit tricky, specially if they are hard.
