In this video, I will explain the MAZAK INTEGREX i-100ST.
Mazak's INTEGREX i-100ST multi-tasking machine features two turning spindles, a milling spindle, and a lower turret for great precision and productivity.Manufacturers of tiny, complicated items can use such machine characteristics to process first and second machining operations concurrently or to complete needed sequential operations on a single workpiece.The INTEGREX i-100ST, which can handle all operations from raw material input to final machining, significantly reduces lead times and increases workpiece accuracy by eliminating redundant setups.Furthermore, its full 5-axis capacity enables it to produce fully prismatic pieces from solid blocks or castings, round parts, or highly curved sculptured parts as chucked or bar-fed work.The INTEGREX i-100ST's turning spindles have high performance capabilities since they both use a 15-hp integrated motor spindle with a maximum spindle speed of 6,000rpm.
The primary spindle indexes in 0.0001° increments for high-accuracy C-axis contouring, while the second spindle indexes in 0.001° increments.Each spindle has a 6" chuck with a 2.4" bore size that can take bar stock with a diameter of up to 2".The INTEGREX i-100ST features a 10hp, 12,000rpm milling spindle positioned in the spinning B-axis with a 240° indexing range in 0.0001° increments.In addition, B-axis scale feedback is standard on the machine for great motion accuracy.When surrounding stations are unoccupied, the machine's 36-tool magazine can hold tools up to 5.1" in diameter and up to 3.5" in diameter when stations are filled.
The machine's bottom drum turret may work at either the main or second spindle with the same tool, allowing the turret to execute balanced cutting operations on one component while also operating in tandem with the machine's vertical milling spindle.Milling capabilities are also available with the lower turret.All of this allows you to process a workpiece's second operation on the machine's second spindle or to do first and second operations on the same workpiece at the same time.
