They continued that design until the M, and H in 1939. McCormick Deering was quick to recognize a good idea when a engineer approached them with the idea for the pto. They hired him, and bought his patent. They weren't the only manufacturer he approached. Thank you Nelson.
I should have spent more time on the Case. I have another short of the steamer coming. Maybe I can do better at LeSueur. We had a issue last weekend so I didn't make Butterfield for the first time in years. Thank you Ed.
Very cool tractor! Thanks for sharing
Nobody seemed to know where the best placement of the PTO was at first. Thanks for sharing Bryce.
I think it's interesting that the patent holder approached several manufacturers before McCormick Deering saw the possibility.
Thank you Erik.
Now that is wild on the PTO!! Thank you Mr Bryce!! 😁😁😁

That’s sure an oldie!
That was the first model equipped with factory pto.
My Dad bought one used in 1937.
I only remember parts.
Thank you Gary.
Power takeoff was a huge advancement to get away from belt drive. Didn’t realize they had them that early on.
A Army officer from WWI filed a patent.
He approached multiple manufacturers before McCormick Deering hired him.
Thank you Chad.
That is a cute old tractor Bryce
First Farmall. First row crop. First power take off. That tractor put McCormick Deering in the lead. Thank you Jan.
I remember learning about tractor PTOs when a neighbour lost his fingers. I was a kid and my Dad just said, don't ever mess around with a PTO.
That has happened to lot's of guys who should have known better.
Thanks.
