- This was a long time in the making, but now that it's done, I can honestly say it's some of my best work.
I used the unused credits theme instead of the regular one, mostly just because I think it's better.
Special thanks to Jasper Valentine.

Thanks you
Unique, interesting remix. Gives the whole game a very disturbed, hopeless, defeatist feel... which when you consider this is the game where megaman ultimately dies and the original cannon ends (Megaman kills quint, who is megaman captured from 37 years in the future and brought into the past, thus forcing Light to invent Megaman X and set into motion the rest of the saga) It's absolutely fitting.
That is an extremely interesting theory about the creation of X
an extremely interesting one.. but I highly highly doubt Mega man kills Quint at all, in the original series bosses never truly die, they are always stated to interact with future or past bosses
so while extremely unlikely Quint dies, there are two options left:
he just disappears
he doesn't return to the future and either way time is relative, god knows how many years could have passed in the future when a few days happened in the battle against Quint, and even if it didn't he already got taken away and repurposed, so yes, your theory is entirely possible and I like it really much.
Phoenixesper1 i dont think quint dies whatsoever because he flees in Mega Man II but in mega man V im pretty sure its a copy because of the capsules that have him in them
Okay except when you defeat Quint, he doesn't go kaboom but just warps out.
This whole theory of destroying his future self is assuming of course that the timetravel is closed-loop and not the multi-instance timelines/multidimensional type. Still, later on in MMV GB, yes original MM destroys another Quint. If not? Well... I suppose we have more questions with no answers. And the theory is very much in question.
For argument's sake we'll just assume it is closed loop. Afterall the game comports nicely with the time travel restriction that you cannot affect your past self--if you try, something would happen to stop you or you'd change your mind.
Assuming/provided there is no substance to the notion those bosses revisited from the previous 4 titles are phony remakes (I see no logical reason they would be, just poorly reconstructed), then yes, indeed MM does perhaps ultimately destroy his future self. To put the nail in the coffin, given the ending in GB MMV, "quint" would be disintegrated beyond any chance recovery. So your position would be correct in the end, just not in this game.
@@GTA2SWcity Here is a question I don't think anyone asks when referring to MMV Quint, why would he want to work for Wily again after his battle with Mega man? there must have obviously been some kind of dialogue between Quint and Mega man during their first encounter.
@Unknown: I knew it wouldn't make any sense, alone...
I don't blame you for questioning it. Honestly I'm still scratching my head as well. Upfront I'm not sure what I can tell you to answer that... other than maybe whatever caused Quint to work for Wily in the first place still has its roots later on, and thus Quint is 'not quite right'.
There's problems with this, because if Quint is future MM, then he has ethical coding embedded likewise. While reaching I suppose some kind of "virus" could have corrupted Quint, making him essentially a zombie shell of his original past self.
However, there is another problem: Wily from the past would not have known enough about a virus on his own that could do such a thing. Meanwhile the Wily of the future would have no way of sending a prompt into the past to tell his past self "HERE".
Furthermore we don't exactly know how Wily could ever have captured, reprogrammed, and modified a more advanced future megaman if he couldn't even beat the megaman of present. This would hold true for years if not decades after this point. Someone (in the future) more powerful, or at least tactically more clever, would had to have bested original megaman first--In other words destroyed, dead. (A glitching prototype of Zero, maybe? At the hands of future Wily?)
But this introduces another problem: that leaves an awful lot to chance before past Wily would have gotten hold of original MM's corpse to reprogram and revive it to his purposes. This isn't even getting into the potential to cause a paradox with all these incursions in the space-time continuum in a closed loop.
Let's just say for argument's sake, once original megaman was already destroyed, Wily somehow happened across the body and decided to go back into the past with it. Being closed-loop, this would now be the lattermost point where original MM ceased to be and from this point forth, X would need to be created. Even if Quint had future...in the past...
I suppose since past selves take precedence that might explain how a less advanced Wily could have done this...and maybe upon being destroyed the first time, original MM was corrupted with the virus.
But there's still a question of how the world was alleviated of Wily and his advanced prototype... No X, and even so, X needed time for his system reliability to be confirmed. Dr. Light being so old at this point he wasn't going to live to see that day.
=====================
The alternate fan theory with open/multi timeline time travel:
The multi-timeline theory is that Wily had been reformed and few further advancements were needed for MM at that point, but upon going into the future and seeing future MM/quint got corrupted by the hair-brained idea to try to take over the world again. Amassed his plans, stole Quint easily because there wasn't mistrust.
Because it isn't the time traveling to the future that splits off into another timeline, it's when you go into the past this split-off happens, incursions are minimized but things get more messy.
Once Wily traveled into the "past", the original timeline from whence he and Quint came ceased to be and no longer existed. The past which Quint came from, would now be no more because in that instance Wily hadn't been corrupted. Now since Wily returned to his treacherous ways in the future being absent from the past of that timeline, it collapsed.
This might explain Quint's behavior to some extent since the only things left from his original quantumn timeline are himself and Wily. However, now what happens to Quint no longer would necessarily have any bearing on original megaman
Idk why I found this, but I'm really glad I did. This was my first gameboy game so I'm quite fond of the divisive OST
Finally! This video broke free from the COPPA curse!
yeah i noticed yesterday that youtube automatically listed it as Made For Kids for... some reason, who knows. so i filed an appeal, the comments are back!
@@ZeroJanitor wait it was for kids? RUclips must on be something
A great medley on one of the saddest OSTs in Megaman history.
Yet everyone hates it..
I don't hate it. I absolutely LOVED the Mega Man II GameBoy soundtrack. I just don't like the instruments they used, that's all.
To be honest, nothing about it really bothers me. Except the unused credits theme, it just seems like a bit of a mess.
@@9legopro A lot of the themes had good melodies. They were just made badly in the original. Air man's loud agonizing beeping was the worst exemple of this.
@@ShursGarden Who *doesn't* hate a soundfont that's actively trying to murder you?
Honestly, some of the songs in this soundtracks have amazing melodies. Clash Man, Air Man, Metal Man, Stage Select, and the Stage Start are great.
I *love* how you made Top Man's theme sound like Alleycat Blues from _Turtles in Time_.
Also, am I the only one who thinks the unused ending theme sounds like _At The Gala_?
Oh my jeez just hoh wowie. This is really great. Like, really great. The way you remade everything, it just sounds like this soundtrack was _begging_ to be remade with VRC6. Really, great job!
I'm glad you like it, I'm kinda proud of it myself.
+ZeroJanitor RushJet1 already did it.
Infiniti Zero Neat.
***** mm hm. And it's pretty d*** great.
Infiniti Zero Neat.
Awesome remake of the whole soundtrack!
Quint's theme is so much better now!
This was uploaded on my birthday, when I first got to play and love this game...
Well that's a coincidence.
this is so awesome.
im glad someone remake this, ironicly i play this game yesterday.
p.s on topman theme in 6:45 kinda a remind me of the teenage turtle ninja in nes
to catchy the song
I love the intro theme! Before the DWEEP wavy sound!
This sounds amazing!
Great job :)!
Simply amazing, bro
needle man is my favorite
I really enjoy the stage select theme and metal man one ^-^
This is fantastic! * _ *
This brought back a lot of nostalgia.
This was a great game but the sound was miffed for some reason in the actual game. I love this Konami VRC 6 medley! Did a great job here!
Me encanta mucho mas el soundtrack de los niveles de este juego que el de los originales, estos soundtracks estan muy peculiares; por cierto, muy buen trabajo amigo
That ending rendition is amazing.
Boss theme is hecking gr8
Excellent job on those.
Better than the original in my opinion.
aw yeah quint that guys awesome, heck yeah quint yeah
yeah
Quint really made my night today
This has improved greatly on the original.
I love this, make MOAR!!!!!! *system error *

Oh man, I'd forgotten I asked for it. Thank you!
the question is... will we ever see Quint again?
Does The Evil Megaman from Mega Man Zero count?
I like it!
BTW is your MP3 link expired or something? :(
oh yeah i forgot i had to delete it. once i'm back on my computer i'll upload a new link.
The description has now been updated with a functioning link!
Ah thank you good sir! Sooner than I was expecting. :)
mmmm, Konami flavor.
this shows why mega man ii dos need not exist

Damn, you really got the WORST OST in the entire franchise and made it one of the BEST! I'm surprised you got VRC6 to sound like this, it's just all so good. And combining it into a medley was just chef's kiss, the transitions are so smooth, sometimes I can't tell when the song changes if I'm not paying attention (not a bad thing, not at all!). Though one down-side of having it as a medley is you can't really listen to a song on repeat, if only there were separate versions *WINK WINK* . Seriously though, great job. I know the "you deserve more subscribers!" is overdone to hell, but you really do deserve more. Here's to hoping you get the recognition you deserve!
Way to use an off pitch midi for metal man :p
everything else sounds pretty good tho
Yeah Metal Man's theme is such an easy song to cover
nice if only they weren't earrape to begin with
It's nice to see people arrange even the obscure Megaman games, but even with the awesomeness of VRC6, most of the tracks of Rockman World 2 _still_ rather suck compared to the soundtracks of virtually any other Megaman game.
Still, there are some standouts. Woodman, Airman, Crashman, Hardman and Quint.
I wonder who composed this music. It sounds like it was outsourced to a European composer. It's got a very Ocean software sound to it.
To be fair, Mega Man II was made by people that knew NOTHING about Mega Man. Especially the music.
It's interesting that those are your standouts since most of those are the songs I don't really care about.
Ironic or coincidence. Your decision
***** Which tracks are your favorites?
Satoshi Matrix Magnet Man, Needle Man, Weapon Get, Metal Man when it's arranged well

Is this game gear, Sega master system?
No, the Konami VRC6 chip. It adds 3 extra sound channels to the normal NES soundchip, providing more full sound. It was used in the Japanese version of Castlevania 3, for a reference.
Threxx1 I would love to see a master system/game gear remix of the music.
Threxx1 It sounds so cool! :D
Threxx1 Why don't people make a Game gear remix of this melody? Or game gear remixes in general? PSG Sound is god awful? :(
