There is blame on both sides with Cain and Caleb if Cain had just not freaked out and taking a deep breath, it wouldn’t have been a bad thing I mean he could’ve gotten a boy a job at the garage but because of what he said to Caleb also lead to Kaleb getting in the car and also because of Cain protecting Kaleb, he stripped Caleb with any chance of getting to know his mother and to not even say goodbye to her but Caleb definitely shouldn’t have got into the car at all, because of what he did Cain got send to jail and turned into a hard man. Long story short, Cain really needs to stop protecting his siblings for real and stop making decisions for them then get mad at them for the choices that he made, and Chas is right. Cain is a hypocrite.
They all made horrible choices and it is wrong on both sides. Both had been abandoned and harmed by Faith and by their vile childhoods. Cain acted out in anger and pain, so Caleb acted out in anger and pain. They both messed up and they are now both blaming the other.

Then he took it out on Caleb, and probably thought that having a long lost brother be with him and a then pregnant sister (both Chas and Caleb were teens BTW) is not ideal. Sure, Cain could've dealt it with differently ("sorry but you can't live with us but you can visit us"), but at that time he didn't know better and that was how he had learnt to deal things.
