Real and baker come from the same wood shop.. bbs/generator maybe the baker was just a dud? That real deck looks so good I’m skating a 8.5” full SE 👍 great review
By the way, I might be completely nitpicking, but I don't really get the SE thing. My Mini Logo 8.25" has a wheelbase of 14.25 also. And so does my Creature 8" and even my Santa Cruz 8.5" Everslick deck. My Powell Peralta Flight Glow 8" has a slightly smaller wheelbase at 14", but honestly it's fairly hard to notice that. My point being, 14.25" isn't really a 'short' wheelbase, but more so the current standard. It would be more accurate to label their other non-SE boards are 'long' wheelbase lol. Also, I would LOVE to see a 14" wheelbase on an 8.25" deck!
So REAL boards are notoriously super long so the SE brings dials it back a little so short for real might be normal for other brands is what i understand.
It lasted only three weeks of skating? Yikes, that's surprising to be honest. I know there's more life in it as is, as it's not broken yet. But I would have expected that board to last longer.
Yeah when it gets to the point where I'm like just waiting for it to break at any moment I can't live with that bendy life haha was really surprised as well.
@@budzy_9023 ok so real, Krooked, and anti hero are all made in the same factory. They are the only decks I skate. I absolutely love them all to death. No complaints. Get anti hero or krooked for easy goodness, real has too many complicated shapes LOL
I may sound crazy but are your bushings in backwards? The taller one usually goes on the bottom right? Lol idk about mids and I couldn't really tell but anywho I'll let myself out 😅🤷♂️
Stiff boards your jive? Darkstar. Or any of the boards that are on Dwindle Distribution and are made with R7 single press. Never been a let down so far. But especially Darkstar. Their full concave preserves the stiffness better.

I has a 8.25 with OJ 60's for cruisin but thinkin bout hitting the skate parks for som ranmp fun.. I don't grind, just don't see the fun of destroying trucks and boards! I ollie, slide, jump...but never grind!
I prefer Real. I’ve skated Krooked as well. All I skate is Deluxe brands but I like the shape and feel of the Real decks the most. My fallback are the anti-hero decks. I absolutely loved my last two Bakers but both broke on me fairly quickly. With rising board cost i haven’t gone back to Baker. Real decks seem to last me the longest.
You cant skate a board for a few weeks and believe your first and only experience is a validated representation of that company. You either got a bad board of the bunch, (which happens), tightened your hardware too tight, applied too much pressure landing, not landing bolts,or allowing too much impact going into a slide, breaking boards is commonly a user error and you wont know until you skate more than one.

I had a 8.25 Full SE. It was my favourite ever deck. I skated it a long time.
Hopefully it lasts a while definitely loving the shape that’s for sure!

Yeah better concave definitely seems to hold up better but I’ve had flat creature boards that some how don’t have any issues
Only place I see Darkstars are at walmart

What kind of concave does the board have? Mellow, medium, or steep.
The more mellow side of medium if that makes any sense definitely not flat tho

For some reason I just don’t dig Reals style. And I’m a Jupiter local who knows Zion and wanna support him but he probably doesn’t need any more lol
Ive skated a bunch of reals and they never feel the same as the last.. my favorite was an ishod twin tail though.. that thang was magic
I like how you didn’t snap the old board… so many kids will just break the old one for likes.
